It was win 2 lose 3, win 1 lose 2, win 3, lose 4. Completely RNG. I’m mid+, can make a few plays, but winning is completely up to the RNG gods. Kind of frustrating because I was able to go flawless twice last season during the previous matchmaking set up.

Played void titan with arbor warden(barrier grenade) and my weapons were tarraxipos with zen moment and keep away as well as vexcaliber with swap mag and replenishing aegis. Had a funny moment where a threw a barrier nade in front of a teammate that blocked an enemy shadowshot
The last month had the most heinous PVP experience of any game I've ever played, and I've been around playing games since NES days. I'm not touching trials again until big changes happen. Even if I was offered a god roll every single win indefinitely, it wouldn't be nearly enough incentive to convince me to put up with trials because it was that awful. I enjoyed grinding Kali/Last Wish for 13 hours to point of being brain dead and hating life and it was still infinitely beyond better than anything even the best matches of trials has offered.
Bro I don’t understand I physically can’t go flawless now and my kd is like a 1.8 but every single game I’m going against realllllly good people and I get the bad teammates like I don’t understand the odds of me getting good people are like 100 to 1 I miss flawless pool
Went solo flawless TWICE this weekend and it's the first time I have ever double-dipped in Trials. Been watching and learning from this dude for years. Definitely take these tips and observations to apply to your gameplay!
Holy sht Jake, so many clutch plays here. Making the right choices in the most sticky situations. You knowing there is no Fancyy or Goldexgle in your back make you even pop off more haha. Good stuff.
Is the matchmaking absolutely crazy even at connection based? At one point during duo queuing we were 17 and 17 W/L going from 5-0 wins to impossible losses back to back (WIth literally 17/17 of those games the solo just going alone and dying). It's just unrealistic to think its connection based when 30+ games are trying their absolute hardest to keep W/L as even as possible unless you play out of your mind every match every round every kill.
damn jake , i feel like your overall game sense is unreal , all the little decision you make on the fly lead to great oppertunitys to clutch 1 v 3 's or just picking people of with the sniper
I still never went flawless. The closest I got was my 7th game with no mercy left. I lost that 7th game and my dreams of flawless were destroyed because of it.
Streamers and try hards now understand how us casuals have been feeling about trials this whole time. Casuals now have a place in solo queue and all the sweats can 3 stack and face each other lmao. Everyone is complaining because they can no longer farm people who don't eat, sleep, and breathe crucible. Just sucks for people like Jake who actually doesn't reset cards and want to help people in his stream who suck like the rest of us.
Went solo flawless four times. Best weekend yet. Not sure how to feel about the matchmaking….. feels good to me just because ive had so much fun solo queueing but ive heard duo q is hit or miss and threes is unplayable
I got my first ever flawless since D1 this weekend. I found people on companion offering a free carry for flawless virgins. We got it second try and they were really awesome for that!
What’s the best beginner trials loudout for people looking to improve in trials? I always struggle in trials and I’m not even playing trials to go flawless
Honestly man, I’ve been flawless a lot, but what helped me out in the beginning was, Hunter-Mechaneers Tricksleeves with Buzzard or any crazy sidearm with sniper (invisible hunter), Warlock- Transversive Steps with Condition finality or any good shotgun with Ammit or Hand Cannon (Well of radiance), Titan-Peacekeepers Immortal Adept if not use any good smg and pair it with a sniper or shotty mainly sniper (Bubble/Void titan) hope this helps
Great vid Jake and not to mention good job slaying Chads in PvP but can you for future videos explain yout thoughts further ? For example: " I will place down a barrier to give myself a space to play around with" or something to that extect to help the lower players understand basics
went solo flawless this weekend for the first time ever. it was an awful experience the first few cards but then on my last i got 7 wins in a row. it seemed to be back and forth for the most part
I got to 6 wins roughly 8 times in a single day, only to lose mercy and then lose flawless card. I have given up and only play trials for the messenger.
I feel you, carrying 1v3s getting people who dont think and just rush in without a plan. Its crazy how often Bungie puts the lowest skill level people on my team but stacks the other team with nothing but sweats. I swear it always feels like that. I rarely get a game where I am not the one carrying the team. This weekend finally broke that mold and my last 2 games were easy af. I even got carried on one of them :D made me happy. I was like where the F were these matches on Friday. Monday felt different for some reason. I was still being matched against people who had already gone flawless this weekend before I did on Monday morning. However Monday just felt different like matches didnt feel like i was always having to sweat my ass off to win. One thing you said during one of your streams go in with the mindset that it will always be a 1v3 flight helped me a lot. Picked a bunch of straglers off and them back doored the hell out of people. Felt good to get a solo flawless this passing weekend.
Kept getting matched with what the game could scrape from the bottom of the barrel on my team, then got seal team six on the enemy team. Couldn’t get past 2 wins.
I still have yet to go flawless, tried when it first came out but could never get a good dedicated team to together and now that im trying to run solo i end up with the worst teammates ever usually on my 3rd or 4th win in a row, i just grind for basic gear now 🤷♂️
I can agree that solo trials is a 100x easier than duo or trio. Went solo flawless multiple times this weekend grinding for my gilded flawless. Thank god they got rid of having to carry people cause I do everything solo.
Was definitely a sweat fest this weekend. Went solo just fine but doing carries was a bit of a struggle. I can definitely see trying to carry lower than average or sometimes average players being a issue.
I’ve went flawless one time, and I only play solo. Game 7 I double mercied then I got 13 elims and 2 deaths to get my flawless. Then got an unwavering duty adept I was so sad
Surprisingly I got 2 solo flawless this weekend when in previous attempts It would be months for me to even get close to 1, idk how to feel about the changes but I guess we'll see, I can understand the frustration bud, it sucks, this my solo experience every time, I need pvp friends :/
I really hate those kinds of teammates who leave the Bubble. And how one side has a better angle to snipe from on that toilet side. You have to walk in to see, exposed to everyone. They are standing in the "open" (basically in spawn) but you can't contest without risk. Not to mention that side has the blocks along the wall, which sure give cover but usually just prove to be an obstacle in your way when they throw a nade. Increases chances of you bumping into teammates trying to get out. I wish we had Black Shield again, just maybe no sliding doors...
i went flawless solo for the first time on my first card without losing a game nor trailing so i got the emblem, the shader, and the new ship! all this was done on the day trials came out! best weekend ever!
Bro I’ve been Watching you like all day to the point I downloaded destiny today my light level is below 1700 still but hopefully one day you can carry ya boii to the lighthouse
I almost went flawless but my card didn’t reset. Won 7 out of 8 after I reset it. Would’ve been my first solo flawless ever. Ran again and fell at the gates.
i really hope they do something bout trials its been so hard to play i havent touched it since week one of season 20 i really dont like the changes they did
I wish you didn’t need the Trials emblem to change the shader of Trials weapons. I wish it was a shader you got once you went Flawless. Ngl I really love that gray, silver and light blue 😎
Due to my mental state and other problems i mentally cannot comprehend the way some people play destiny pvp regardless if its trials or regular crucible. everything is fast paced. people sliding around each corner, turning a whole 180 in less than a second let alone the whole crouch shooting and other things like how some can play and Mouse and keyboard and get the same aim assist as console players like myself need. ill never be able to go flawless again and get any of the armour old or new let alone adept weapons. I love destiny.ive been around since the beta for d1 released. but i just cannot mentally take t when it comes to destiny 2 pvp whether it be cause of my health and the way its played these days
Yeah i dont bother trying to go flawless ever. I just get rank up rewards until i reset then never touch the playlist again until next weekend and repeat that same cycle. As a "Average Avery" in QP and a naught-point in 3s, theres no point to me trying.
Got lucky with a 3 day weekend and thought this is gonna be great. 2 mercy’s and I’ve gone flawless by myself before what could go wrong? Friday night was miserable but chalk it up to being tired or what have you, Saturday was shitty and swapped over to pve watched a couple streams hoping to win a raffle no luck, Sunday I actually was on your team and we lost the match and the whole day was miserable I started popping off late in the night getting to 5 wins losing all of my mercy’s and lost my 6th match cause the randoms were wasted, Monday got lucky on a stream and thought maybe this is the one right? Wrong made it to 5 wins once again with no mercy and lost the next match. Trials is fucking terrible I don’t understand how some peeps managed to go flawless this weekend I tried in the morning, mid day, night time, and even tried getting carried. Shit blows.
