This is my tribute to the legendary guitar player Eddie Van Halen, in my opinion, one of the most creative and influential guitarists of all time.
This was a really fun song to try to recreate and has some crazy drumming that took a while to try to get it as close to the original as possible

I'm a 50+-year-old Gen X'er and a product of the '80s. I had to privilege of seeing VH play live no fewer than 10 times, and your cover simply blew my mind away! Amazing talent and I appreciate you sharing it with the rest of us. Your talent is God's gift to you, but what you've done with it is your gift to God. Keep on grinding!

BEST ON TH-cam PERIOD! Nobody is gonna top this. Not only were you dead nuts accurate, but you played it with feeling. You captured that “could explode at any minute” balls to the wall quality of Van Halen, but to do it on such a difficult song is pure gold. I’m a semi-retired recording engineer, it is by no means easy to impress me... I’m not only impressed, but blown away!

Um if I may. I picked up bass, drums, guitar, piano around 14, learned all to write and record my own music.
I was fortunate to be raised with a parent who had a very nice stereo system in 1977 thru the first almost 10 years of growing up. Van Halen was played a lot. MTV just came out. My dad was playing 1984 on vinyl.
I’m not into covers or cover bands so much. But when done. They should be done with taste, accuracy and respect. I’ve been trying find drum covers for years even guitar covers just to see what Eddie and the band did.
Haven’t found one! Until now and GUITAR! BASS! AND DRUMS!!

Now THAT is a tribute. As a Van Halen fan since 1979 and having seen them live up close and personal a few times I've gotta say watching you play that gave me a new appreciation for how amazing Eddie and the boys were.

Okay, so I'm a drummer right? I only play drums. And so I can say firsthand that the galloping double kick pedal is extremely hard to play well. Like REALLY hard!!!! And then I see this kid who plays it as well as EVERY OTHER INSTRUMENT!!! He recreated Eddie Van Halen. That is a feat that almost nobody can even dream about getting close to. And he did it perfectly on every instrument. At like what 15? I am Appalled.
