Its okay because we are saving the polar bears right? (who are actually still finding thier evolutionary niche and dont need year round ice to survive)
I'm happy GM got spanked on this one. They need to know consumers want to change, but not with the product quality they're delivering. I've had issues with my new Cadillac Lyriq. Took delivery at the end of October and have driven it for 3 weeks... Constantly in the shop. No heat... NO FRICKEN HEAT!!!!! It's a joke. Shame on GM.
My brother has had two Ram trucks that have had the transmission and water pump fail on him both times. Not specific to electric vehicles. I’m not an EV guy but this is an anomaly
When the transmission failed immediately on our new Toyota Rav, they wanted to replace the trans. I insisted they replace the whole car and they did so. No Pat Foran required. Keep up the great work Mr Foran! Long time fan here!
NIO and ONVO OFFERS BATTERY SWAPPABLE CARS. Get a fully charged battery in under 3 minutes. This wouldn’t even of been a problem! But of course our government is blocking them in Canada to support these price gouging oems.
And gas is free, no dealership hidden fees and gas cars are 100% foolproof. Win and smile all the way to the bank(rupt). Didn't Bush bail out all the automakers before bowing out?
From the get go, choosing a legacy company for an EV at this stage is asking for trouble. There is clearly only one choice for North American EVs. I won't mention the name due to triggering, but it definitely isn't the legacy 3.
All I heard was he's paying $2K a month for the truck.
Dave Ramsey has entered the chat.....
Business expense, not a personal expense
Yet government wants to force public to use onky EV regardless of who they are. Not many can deal with $140k repair or just buying a new vehicle
Toyota IMV-0 pickup sold in international markets: $10k USD. We're stuck in a horror show here.
Nobody forcing me.
I took the governments advice and cancelled the Disney Channel, so I think I will be ok.
Batteries also contain toxic heavy metals like cadmium and arsenic and no one is talking about how these will be safely disposed of.
Its okay because we are saving the polar bears right? (who are actually still finding thier evolutionary niche and dont need year round ice to survive)
My 2016 Toyota tundra still going strong at 175k lol. And will continue to do so for many years
got ya beat, My 2002 GMC sierra 4.8L @ 402K, all Orig, Ice Ice Baby... Who Needs EVs lol.
175k on a toyota you got another 15 years easy.
It will easily last 15 years with basic maintenance. Go Toyota!
@@Jean-SébastienChouinard thank you
@@saptarshichakraborty8140 yes! 💪
The truth is, Lithium ion technology is way too old. We need new types of batteries
Like LFP?
@@rickzane6433 Yeah. What BYD use. But we're slapping them with a 100% tariff. Can't make up this clown show.
@jptrainor I read LFP is less prone to spontaneous fires, has higher charge rate in its lifetime, but does not handle cold too well.
@@rickzane6433 Yeah. That's what I've read. Heavier though.
@@rickzane6433Yup exactly, there are trade offs to everything.
There is lots of talk about Solid State batteries in the next couple years as well.
$140k 🤣
Right that's a 2003 viper with low k n 30 k extra
I just bought an ICE pickup for $50k .... Starts and goes everytime.
Just think you saved a few hundred on gas though 🤣
I'm surprised someone paid $ 140k for a chevy when you can get an S class or Porsche
A reliable base model Toyota IMV pickup is a mere $10k in international markets.
@jptrainor but Toyota is Japanese, I thought Trump was at war with anything and anyone not American?
I’m surprised when someone pays 20 grand for a Chevy tbh
@rickzane6433 when did this become anything about trump ? Is he on your mind all the time ?
Since when are those pickups?
Meanwhile my 2013 corolla has 340k miles only needing fluid, tires and brakes
the unfortunate part of this story is that unless someone with clout contacts these car manufacturers, they leave you twisting in the wind.
We’ve known how flawed EVs are over the last 5 years. Your progressiveness cost you. Buyer beware

They are all the same, not built for Canadian climates.
the battery on my deisel is just fine
My brother has had two Ram trucks that have had the transmission and water pump fail on him both times. Not specific to electric vehicles. I’m not an EV guy but this is an anomaly
Exactly
lol. How many ice engines replace at that mileage.
For Hyundai/kia maybe don't ask that question lol.
This is like watching news from 1992
Sounds like an easy fix, just like swapping the batteries in you TV remote.
Just drop it off to Canadian Tire, and get your $20. Battery rebate swap. 😂

Ten thousand AA cells, nothing changed for years. Like PT Barnum said, There's a sucker born every day.
Thank the Lord your gas car will never break down and cost you extra.
Time bomb....already explode onces....at 3000 kmh
HAHAHA

@@omgBenton You're battery is dead...that will explode your bank account.....also later
@ChristianDuval-h9r hyuk.
lol so how much of a carbon footprint is your truck costing the planet now? Needing another battery
Yes, all EVs are terrible. We got it.
Gas cars are the best and never fail ever.
Moving on.
@@rickzane6433 Gas cars never fail? are you dumb
$ 140,000 for a truck ?!!?!!! 👀
And this is how you fight climate change, garage EV's for at least 2 months
Wait until the mileage is high and the vehicle is out of warranty. His battery will need to be replaced again and will cost him a fortune 🤣😂.
My ram 1500 abused 180,000km still on original 16 spark plugs and still drives flawlessly rather change my engine when it goes than but something new
What did P.T. Barnum say way back then?
makes me really miss my $400 Ranger that i retrieved from crushing. it's still on the road today, different owner looking after
My 2008 Ford Edge running strong ..... and payment costs on it are $0 per month. So glad I'm not a liberal
EVs are still in their infancy. I would touch one until they are better developed and the maintenance infrastructure is improved.
That's not an EV problem. It's a GM problem.
Both my EVs are going strong, and I have almost 150k km between them.
So, a new truck broke down. Happens
Love my GAS car
EV=Extremely Volatile🙂
Unlike gasoline!?! 😂

Incredibly more than 10x the price of an IMV-0 truck. And they still can't get it right.
$140k for an EV..a Chevy no less. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
