      Hi sweetie pie. I realize that you love spicy perfumes. I love Majd Al Sultan Asdaaf; I bought this few years ago because of you mentioning this (it started selling off and recommended after you mentioned it as first person on yt). I knew a long time that you loved Queed too. And finally I ordered this today. I also ordered Asad. Do you know the real difference between Asad and Queed? I have about 380 perfumes in my collection. Very diverse too. In winter time I adore spicy scents. God bless your heart a thousand times ❤️🙏

    Alhamdulillah habibati they don’t know that In the Middle East, we don’t limit fragrances by gender or season-everyone wears what they love, whenever they choose. Much like niche fragrance profiles, the ideas of gender and season in perfumery are primarily Western concepts. Fragrance is an integral part of our culture and way of life, so we often apply it generously, making it a true expression of who we are.

    This was the first "Lattafa" fragrance I encountered in Kuwait back in 2018.
    I didn't buy it then because I could not appreciate the depth and marvelous fragrance notes contained within it.
    This fragrance remained on my mind...and my "Wanted" list for 6 years.
    Now...6 years later...I am ready.
    And it is as beautiful as I imagined.
    Better than all of the Incensey, oudy, spicy fragrances that I've bought in these 6 years.
    Qaa'ed is amazing...

    • @AFragrantGlance
      @AFragrantGlance  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for your kind words my dear,I am happy to hear you feel that way and you resonate with my videos! 🤗🌹 Both Sheikh al Shuyukh Luxe & Oaa'ed are statement fragrances but scent wise they go in different directions, SAS is all about a rich rose accord spiced by some cinnamon with a sweet complex base while Qaa'ed feels more incensy and sweet spicy with a leathery undertone. Even thought they don't smell similar I would still recommend you to test it, look up a sample or decant of it and see how you feel about it, to me it smells very unique. If you love Sheikh al Shuyukh I would highly recommend you to test as well Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian & Gharam by Junaid Perfumes, look them up and see if they look like something you'd enjoy.

    QAA'ED is fantastic.
    I have had it for several months and can agree that it's wonderful on it's own, but very certainly does layer well with other fragrances.
    Believe it or not, the first time I smelled it I thought it was like "Old Spice" wanted to be when it grows up, so I layered it with a 1980s version of Old Spice Cologne that I have... Let me tell you that it's SUBLIME.
    Also, it turns out that I think it pairs incredibly well with Raghba Wood Intense.
    It's turned out to be one of my favorite scents... And on my skin, it "works" for me during Summer.
    Cheers!

      @@AFragrantGlance hi!
      Yes... Please try it over the Wood Intense...
      It's also pretty magnificent UNDER Ameer Al Oudh.
      And if you can get your hands on a small VINTAGE (pre-1990s) bottle of Old Spice, preferably the cologne concentration manufactured by Shulton... They sold out to Proctor and Gamble in 1990 or so... And it's not been the same since, about a hundred reformulations and even more cheapening.
      Anyhow... Layering the QAA'ED underneath the Old spice intensifies the spice and sweetness of the Old Spice, layering the QAA'ED over the Old Spice, it tones down the powderiness of the Old Spice, but adds a sweet kick to the QAA'ED.... Incredibly interesting how the QAA'ED works so differently with various other perfumes, and even more interesting how it works when either under or over the different fragrances.
      I don't believe I've ever owned a fragrance that acts like the QAA'ED does.
      Here's hoping that all is well with you and yours.
      Cheers!

    Just received this today. It stays masculine, but still gorgeous!, on my skin for a very loooong time. Maybe half an hour later after the initial spray the "roughness" dampers off and vanilla, the spices and a touch of leather shines through on my skin. I will have to test it a whole day to be sure, but I actually was blown away by its deliciousness even seconds after the first spray, even though it stayed masculine on my skin for a very, very long time. Qaa'ed is simply beautiful, so I hope I will be able to make it work for me. There is a huge potential at least :)

      @@AFragrantGlance I do just that after your excellent recommendation, and it works wonders ❤️ Sometimes I even (also) layer it with an Al Haramain Musk oil I just purchased, and they work so well together, I think. The leather note in Qaa'ed makes it a bit masculine, but I actually do love the leather note, and it is such an amazingly well blended perfume, so I don't mind at all - especially since I am able to "woman it a bit more up" myself 😊 And thank you for replying. I cherish that 🤗

    • @AFragrantGlance
      @AFragrantGlance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching dear 🌹❤ Usually when I want to let a fragrance macerate I do 7 8 sprays if it's more affordable, if it's pricier then I do less and I just let it sit in a cool dry & dark place for a few months and I try to forget about it for a while cause I'm very impacient and it takes a good few months to see changes. You could try to do this with Qaa'ed as well or if you have a vanilla forward fragrance then layer the two and it will amplify the sweetness of the fragrance even more 💫

    The opening is exactly the same as of the niche perfume L'amateur Amado Unisex, middle notes and base notes are about 90% the same. Amado has roses instead of carnation and a dash more of incense than Qaaed and patchouli, which Qaaed doesn`t have. But Qaaed performes such as good and smells just as "niche". I bought Qaaed for 15€, while Amado costs 198€. Looking at the price difference, I gladly miss out on the more intense incense and patchouli notes, if I still do want those, I can still layer Qaaed with a perfume that is more on the patchouli side to achieve 99% Amado. Thx for introducing this very underrated masterpiece by Lattafa. 🌹🌹🌹

    I bought the 30ml version and it smells too manly. I'm not sure how this is unisex unless you like masculine scents. Reminds me of Lattafa Velvet Oud but with spices and some sweetness. But still quite aftershave type of scent. The cedar and leather are quite prominent.

      Ok so I'm back with an update. To my nose it smells very different compared to Bade'e al Oud. Compared to Opulent Oud, Qaa'ed is warmer, way spicer, drier and more incensy, Opulent Oud is darker, sweeter, more resinous, and not as incensy as Qaa'ed. But if you enjoy Bade'e al Oud and Oud for Glory you'll most likely enjoy Qaa'ed as well. Opulent Oud and Bade'e al Oud have a very dense, concentrated aura to them (if that makes sense), Qaa'ed has some airyness (if I can call it like that) to it. Hope it helped 🤗 **in the very last bits of the dry down Opulent Oud and Qaa'ed do share some similarities

      Considering how strong it is I'd say anywhere from 3-10 would shine beautifully without feeling suffocating for you or people around you, but there's no magic number, do a number of sprays you feel comfortable with. 💫 Thank you for watching! ❤️

    Nice review. Are you aware of any middle eastern fragrances that are on the fresh green/citrusy side? Usually I can only come across ones that are darker and richer. I would love a scent that combines the middle eastern skill for good performance with a lighter scent profile.

    First, thanks for making reviews of fragrances that Western mainstream TH-camrs don't know about.
    But as a side note, why do you always have decants when the perfumes are cheap and easy to get? It would be a lot better if you could showcase the bottles. Anyways, sending love from Morocco.

      Thank you for watching! ❤ I only want to add full bottles of fragrances that I love and suit me in my collection, and I prefer to test them prior to blind buying (if I can find samples/decants). I see no point in buying full bottles of fragrances just for review and then just keeping them around 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Hi, would you describe it as a smokey vanilla fragrance or is the vanilla not that prominent?

    • @AFragrantGlance
      @AFragrantGlance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The vanilla is here and you'll pick it up but to my nose the spices are stronger. But yes, it smells like you're burning an incense stick with spices and vanilla and you go in and have a sniff and you get the smoky quality as well. Gorgeous unisex fragrance! But it's not that typical rich warm ambery vanilla style of fragrance with a hint of smokiness, this one is very dry, dusty and grounding somehow. Hope it helped ❤

      Yes, it's one worth checking out for sure if you enjoy middle eastern fragrances! Gorgeous gorgeous one. ❤️❤️ Hmm let me think, a creamy lemon with oud I don't think I've came across. The closest one is Opulent Musk by Lattafa, which has lemon, saffron, white florals and resinous oudy notes in the background. It's very potent and it smells great, I got great feedback on this one so far but it only has lemon in the opening. Quite a potent and a strong fragrance, look it up and see if it sparks your interest. If I come across any creamy lemon fragrances I will update you!
