I definitely fit in that category lol. I first heard Strawberry Jam and Feels but they didn’t impact me much. It wasn’t until I heard Alvin Row that their music finally clicked for me. And from that day on Alvin Row has been my fav song of all time 🤣

People aren't gonna be bringing up Centipede Hz. in the comments, but my favorite attributes of music are Texture and Density and it's 100% my jam. Super curious to see your reaction to Animal Collective at their most overproduced, check out "Rosie Oh" or "Aminita."
ALSO: The Residents have probably influenced the bulk of the artists you react to on this channel (including Animal Collective!). Frankly, I think they're secretly the most culturally influential artist of the century (Often credited as being the originators of the Music Video). Check out "The Whispering Boys" off Animal Lover, "Hello Skinny" off of Duck Stab, "Boo Who?" off Fingerprince, I could go forever, they've got over a hundred albums by my estimate. They're a band you have to both intellectualize and experience (they're a great acid band if your tastes run a little dark).

I have really been enjoying your reaction videos, you have a great open mind to music. To me, What Would I Want Sky is about overcoming depression using metaphors of contrasts between color and weight. "Do you get up up up?" ..."I should be floating, but weighted by thinkin." ... "Greys where that color should be," and then my favorite line "The point on the horizon is hiding its blues." Incredible song. Next you should check out their video for their song Water Curses.

Oh hokey smokes, my list is HUGE and sadly very unorganized. I cannot get to all the songs- there are some that leave me cold when listening and I just stop when that happens and go to the next so a certain percentage simply will never get recorded. I am trying my best tho, I promise you that!
Listened to their album before this EP on fungi and it was overwhelmingly beautiful.

Try Avey Tare's albums Eucalyptus and 7s if you get a chance! Also Defeat and Bridge to Quiet are fantastic. Bridge to Quiet is definitely a nighttime EP.

I’ve been loving these AnCo reactions! By far my favorite reaction channel. I’d highly recommend checking out a group called Guerilla Toss-they make really zany psychedelic-punk, definitely a trip. I’d recommend Magic is Easy, Betty Dreams of Green Men, and Skull Pop.
It legit makes me happy to see how much you appreciate good music.
Animal Collective are as good as the Beatles and Pink Floyd...possibly better.

I wonder if Conference Of Birds by Avey Tare (One of the singers/songwriters of AnCo) would trigger your ADHD or not. There's a visualizer video of the album on TH-cam that I use in lieu of anything lysergic sometimes.
It's kind of something I can't just listen to a part of, it tears your heart out, and you have to come out the other side to see everything's okay.
