- Enjoy a ride on Kilimanjaro safaris at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park at Walt Disney World near Orlando, Florida. This safari ride opened April 22, 1998, the same day Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park opened. We get on the safari at 8:30am right when it opened in the morning, which in my opinion is the best time to ride the safari. This is because the animals are more active in the mornings, and most are out eating, and the mornings is not as hot than the middle of the day. Our driver was great and the updated script was amazing, we loved it during this ride.

In an effort to learn all that I can before I apply for this job (as soon as Disney stops their hiring freeze in attractions) I have created a word document consisting of all the Swahili terms used and their English definitions, each location name and all of the animals found there, all the facts stated in this video and another video with a different driver as well as everything I can remember from riding the safari numerous times and through other research as well as my experience in the veterinary field. There is also all of the extra things like where to go after the safari such as Rafiki’s, gorilla falls, and the wilderness explorer badge. I feel like if I study this as well I should stand a fair chance at getting accepted for the job lol
