    @PostonClan At the time of this video it was Noahs 2nd or 3rd Judo tournament ever. With only a few months of Judo training. This was a year ago. Noah doesnt really pin any more in Judo. He Ippons 99% of all his opponents now.

    @kap2z Noah has no ego at all. U say let him be a kid. Would being at Disneyland as we speak for the 5th yr in a row be considered a kid thing. Noah lives like a King. He gets anything he wants. He gets strate A's in school. Noah loves winning and if he doesnt wanna do a tournament he doesnt have to. He will never be a douchebag because thats not what we teach our kids. He goes to church twice a week. As far as my dreams I have already accomplished them.

The blue and white belt are none of these kids actual color. They are only used for scoring purposes.

    • @Yimika777
      @Yimika777 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You obviously don’t do judo. If that kid was in danger they would tap out. Also they we trying to get a grip.

  • @biloxypacman
    @biloxypacman 10 ปีที่แล้ว +24

    The kid is talented, BUT unfortunately his is doing ILLEGAL JUDO. His throws are mostly Koshi Guruma and Maki Komi Techniques, and his grip around the head and across the middle of the back is not permitted for this age group, in real competition for injury reason. This kid although talented should not be using these throws yet!!! Bad Teaching...Bad Referring...

    • @othpromo

    • @biloxypacman
      @biloxypacman 10 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      It was illegal even then. Don't get me wrong the kid will be good its just to bad he was not coached properly to use Ashi Waza techniques before going to Koshi Guruma or Maki Komi throws. PLUS its kids like this that made moves like that ILLEGAL and causing less and less people to join the sport.

    Okay what I don't get is if he is a white belt by international rules you ain't even allowed to compete until the 8th Kyu. He should bet throwing things like Uki goshi and O goshi. Mune gatame or Kesa gatame on the matt. No choke holds also not grapping by the lower arm. This is why kids get injured. Just because parents want to teach them to much to fast.

    • @othpromo
      @othpromo  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Where do you see choke holds? Hes not a white belt. In this video hes an orange belt. White and blue belts are used for scoring purposes.

    • @sanneisa
      @sanneisa 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Noah Alsguson Why he aint wearing the orange then? You normally wear the scoring belt over your normal one.

    • @sanneisa
      @sanneisa 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sanneisa and yes he choked at 2:22.

    • @othpromo
      @othpromo  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sanneisa They use white and blue for scoring. Never heard of anyone using their actual belt color for scoring if that was the case the ref would have many different colored wristbands. These are the rules.

    • @othpromo
      @othpromo  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sanneisa Not sure where youve seen chokes before but that is not a choke. Hes simply pinning the kid down. Noah is now a world champion in Jiu Jitsu. If you want to see some real chokes check out some of his more recent videos.

I admire how he was only 10 when he did this and he was a pro then, i dread to think how good he is now. I have been doing judo 12 years like I said, and this kid is pretty much as good as me if not better. Judo is the path of softness and flexibility; Bad coaches, worse judges. What I saw was not judo looked like a street fighter trying to win at all costs.
    In Judo you fight to perfect yourself.
    Muscle brains those who trained that child.

      So you're saying every 10 year old is supposed to do Judo the way you think? In this video, he's 10 years old and it's his 1st year competing. I see kids doing Judo.

    It's very obvious that all these kids have zero defense knowledge. Most of them are not even resisting the neck grab attempts, zero movement knowledge, and no attack plan. This winner kid is below average in my opinion, and many 9yrs kids I know can finish him easily.

      He’s not.In competitions there should be a blue and white fighter,but if both fighters have the same color judogui then one fighter has to wear a white or blue belt.in this case they were both white and someone had to wear a blue belt.And also the colors are used for scoring purposes
