Sunday Morning breakfasts were the very best for us as well. It was big, special, and always after Mass. So, tea and toast and an orange, religiously, before Mass; then nice long conversation-rich breakfast around the table.

Ahh, those Sunday morning 'Jamaican Big Breakfast' moments... How much time do we have...😀
    Ackee and Saltfish ...and anything
Callaloo and salt fish ...and anything
    Fried fish and Bammy
Fried fish and Hard Dough Bread
    Hard Dough Bread/Butter, eggs, sausages
Seasoned Turn Corn Meal (Made with saltfish, tomatoes, onion, thyme n spices, etc.) as a side dish
    Corn Hominy
    Liver and Young Bananas
    Mackerel and Young Bananas
    Fried Dumplings and Anything...
    Roast Breadfruit/Fried Breadfruit and Anything...
Coco Tea/Chocolate Tea, Milo, Ovaltine, Horlicks, etc.
Fish Tea...For the 'serious' Men of the house...and Adults...🤣🤣
Late morning Sunday...Somewhere between that huge breakfast and Sunday Dinner. You have things like...
Coconut custard, Home processed/Home brewed coffee, Dragon Stout mixed with eggs/condensed milk, nutmeg and rum...(Yuck!! and No Thanks!! But I wouldn't dare say that🤣🤣), Soft jelly coconut, sweet grapefruit, condensed milk n nutmeg mixed together in a glass...Scrumptious and delish...🤣
Did I leave out anything? I must have left out some of it. Remind us...🤣🤣

Nothing is as sweet as that long Jamaican breakfast- the oil on top of the chocolate tea, the guava jelly, ackee with cheese, tin mackerel and everything already mentioned

I just love listening to your stories. It just brings me right back to Jamaica. I’m from Trelawny right next-door to Saint Anne’s and yes that was our kind of living, living on the farm, it was such fun -oh my gosh these kids don’t know what they’re missing. 🥰

Hey Mel it is a tight knit family that is filled with love, yes there are codes that the kids speak with and now the grandchildren will take over where they left off. Mel your life experiences make me smile because it's so surreal I could listen to your life experiences all day not boring not at all!! Keep it up Mel you just don't know how it makes other feel to know it's real.

We listen to a wide variety of music but a LOT of reggae, dancehall, lovers rock. All depends on who in the family is the selector LOL
