Major General VPS Bhakuni, VSM, was commissioned into the Dogra Regiment in 1981. He has rendered distinguished service of 37 years in the Armed Forces. The General Officer has participated in various operations including Counter Insurgency operations viz., Operation Pawan (Sri Lanka-IPKF), Operation Rakshak and Operation Parakram in Jammu & Kashmir. The General Officer has performed the duties of Colonel General Staff (Operations) of a Corps in Western Theatre and MGGS (Info Sys) and Chief of Staff of prestigious 15 Corps in Srinagar when Kashmir was under floods in Sep 2015. The General Officer assumed the responsibility of Commandant, Selection Centre South in Jan 2016 which is tasked to select officers for Army, Navy and Air Force till his retirement in June 2018.

Am I the only one who loves the English accent of South Indian people?
I kind of enjoy it maybe because of its mixture with their own mother tongue which makes it very sweet.
What i felt as a +point for her is her confidence and that she really is calm and do not react too much on any question emotionally
Her -ve point is that sometimes she contradicted her own statement..like when being asked what she will change in country as advisery to PM ..she mentioned the education and how students fly abroad...but at last she herself told that as alternate carrer she wud like to study her post graduate abroad...so i think we shud avoid such contradictions and stick to our real ideas
I know in older days no such academy.. People used to get through SSB without any support and on their own... Being Garhwali and Indian 🇮🇳 I am proud to have people known in the elite defence forces whether it is Arny, Navy or Airforce.. Names already known.. Sir appreciate your efforts to guide the young guns.. I am 2004 ex IMA cadet medically unfit .. Only case in history to record femur got damaged.. Great efforts sir.

The presiding officer's maturity, experience, and psychology matter most while conducting the interview. Although they have a set of questionnaires with them which help them to keep the track of interview in proper track, at the same time some questions are asked from candidate application which generally related to education, games, hobby, award, reward, and family background. A candidate who clears PPDT and OIR finally reaches for an SSB interview after clearing all GTO and other related tests. Remember that SSB recommends and not select. Lastly, it is the merit list which is based on vacancies.
I was interviewed by bhakuni sir in bengaluru board on April 2017(ssc tech army), Watching this take me back to remember that moment when I was sitting in front of him, cannot forget his welcoming tone when I entered the room.

This girl has to work a lot oh her knowledge upon defence and should always remember that never tell any negative points on any one. As per best of my knowledge.
I can tell in the first 10 minutes itself about her lack of clarity in thoughts and there's more of beating about the bush rather than pure and simple crisp answers.
She lacks in many aspects like general and defence awareness and even self awareness and needs a lot of improvement. The SSB is looking for a candidate who has clarity in his thoughts and is well aware about the defence forces as well as his motherland

Being recommended in all three forces, i would like to say that she has to follow simple rule which is to be crisp in her answers. They dont want good oraters only.
She is a confident lady, which is a good thing.
She should brush up her facts a little before going to the ssb.
Her flow of english is quiet good.
She is charming as well which is must for a ssb candidate.
She is relaxed and calm.
She should work more on rapid fire rounds.
Rest is good. She will get recommended soon.

@@Rashmi0815 try to get maximum marks in afcat. 30 to 35 marks above cut off will do.
I got 186 marks when i was recommended. The cutoff back than was 136 marks.

@@Rashmi0815 more or less the whole process of SSB is so hush-hush type. They never disclosed the importance of written exam other than to come for screening, but its true the weight to cross the screening lies mostly on PPDT, So please work that out.

1st she said that people should not go abroad to study and pursue their career in India....and in the last she herself said that she wants to go abroad....
Positive:
1) Knows things of her interest well like abt her state .
2) Good command on her language.
3) Fairly Confident but sometimes she slipped
4) No nervousness
5) Relaxed and calmed
Needs Improvement:
1) No speed decision
2) Didn't do her homework well. No knowledge abt the army structure.
3) Lacks General Awareness
4) Being a college student she was unaware of map of India
5) Lack of clarity in her answers
Well she is a civil candidate knowledge of army can be ignored but general Awareness can't .
Frnd, knowledge regarding defense is not ignored even if you are a civilian because it is a must know stuff and Bhakuni sir mentioned it while he asked the questions regarding military structure

She has a tendency of beating around the bush.
Her answers mismatch. She says something but when General Bhakuni sir probes further into it she changes her response, like she said her weak area was being short tempered and when sir probed into it she simply put it off by saying that she had a loud voice, this is the mismatch.
Further, she said that she runs 100 metres race but later said that the last time she had run that much was in STD IX, again a mismatch. Also, she has slouch which suggests that she's not into sports.
During the end General sir also had to cut her answers short as she was elaborating it too much.
Rest I think she is smart, has good comm skills and has good awareness of her state.

We should know more and more about our country, about our culture and know about our state administration and economic system.
Why interview in English not Hindi . Hindi is our national language and maximum government schools are Hindi medium in India.
Because English is the most common language in India &
The language of Indian Defence is Also English 🤗
Because you know how to speak Hindi, English is a language and you should atleast be able to have a conversation in English if not be fluent in it cause it's a universal language and not every one might know hindi, but you can expect someone of different region to know English
But why all government schools in Hindi medium why not English medium
