First of all, it’s one game. They are still well positioned. Of the game itself, though not their best game, besides the first quarter, the Lions played well against them. It was a 6 point loss. They can play with the best in the league and win. Their “no quit” mentality was really on display. Their loss will serve them well. Time to move on and crush Chicago. P.S. Good to acknowledge that the Bills played well in a pretty hostile environment.
@@soundrew not really, they won two playoff games and were blowing out the 49ers in the first half, and then they disappeared in the second half. With that kind of a lead, they should’ve won. It wasn’t a bad coaching issue.
Defense has like 10 players on the IR.....Can't sustain NFL complimentary football on both sides of the ball with that kind of injury list.....no matter how good your offense is.
You're not wrong we are really banged up on defense, and that is where we are struggling- heck the Lions put up 500 yards on offense. Not worried about the Bears or the '9ers, but those Vikings, who should be 12-2 by the end of the day.
@@oldjarhead386 But talent matters. Amen, and we saw the lack of it trying to stop Allen who just had to run around long enough for a receiver to get open
People are losing their damn minds. Yeah the Lions lost one with a decimated defense but they still prove that they're the number one offense with Jared goff's phenomenal play. They've only lost two against two really good teams when their defense has had issues in the coaching took unneeded risk, but the bills have lost three and two of those teams the Lions have beat. As Goff said it's only one game. They are still the best team in the league. Go look at the teams everybody has defeated and you will see the Lions have defeated the toughest teams by far and still hold the top record. They will win the Super Bowl on the back of their offense. The defense will pull it together and they will find a way to eke out some good play where's the next man up like they've been doing all year. Half face and everybody wants to jump off the bandwagon when they lose by six points you're a really good team when they were due for a loss. They want to lose again this season winning the Super Bowl when it's all said and done.
the buffalo quarterback picked the lions defense apart. those receivers were wide open and he didn't miss many passes. one reason was he had lots of time to throw. if they got close he went to his right and was accurate with the pass or would just run.
I mean giving our offense a chance to score when our defense proved they could barely stop Josh Allen. I kind of do understand it. Because at that point it really was, they score we score. But since the Lions offense started so slow and our defense was almost a no show through out the entire game. On the off chance our special teams might be able to make something and get a turnover I'll still support. Especially since again if you think about if we punt we give the Bills plenty of time to run time off the clock and our guys no chance. So when you think about time management and how we were essentially down two scores the entire game. I feel like the decision isn't as dumb. What killed us was our offense. Even with them scoring Over 40 points. The problem on the defensive side Is pretty obvious so I won't get into that. But in no way did the onside kick kill us. I mean we literally almost recovered the second one.
It doesn’t matter anymore. Alim McNeill David Montgomery Carlton Davis and even backup corner Dorsey is out from the same game going into missing anzalone hutch rodrigo Barnes Davenport etc
Season is over, I never seen so many injuries in one season, and it got worst right before the playoffs. Goff is a lucky man, got that money and the blame is off him when they lose in the playoffs. Crazy
Aaron Glenn has his mind off this Lions season and on his head coach role on a new team lol. This game looked like us playing against the Titans earlier in the season. If the Bills had the ball, Lions may well have pulled the defense off the field and saved ourselves the remaining defense players left.
@ I get it. I just think Aaron can’t do much with our street practice squad. 15 defenders on IR and mostly starters is a death blow. It does suck. Best team in the NFL and this happens.
@ I can’t believe all the “every team has injuries 🤪” people. Someone used the Giants defense in 2007 to compare. There is no comparison. Mike Strahan and their main starters were not on the IR. It’s not even close to being comparable.
@@americanagothic7851I'm pretty sure we just injured any remaining hope in our defense vs Bills. McNeil going down is the straw. Couldn't be happier with this years record though. Anything short of a SB is a step back but they did good until the last man standing.
Jared and the offense played great, it was our D that was outplayed today. Everybody has injuries this late in the season, it’s the teams that can overcome these injuries that will win. I’m hoping we’re able to meet that test and beat all comers through the Super Bowl.
The Lions have two major flaws. First, the defense is porous and its exacerbated by the injuries. Second, they have a bonehead for a coach. He coaches like he’s playing Madden- taking huge risks and putting the team in bad spots (exhibit 1: last year’s playoffs). It’s fine when you’re playing a weak, 4-12 squad but when you have a caliber opponent, those risks come with huge consequences.
Ridiculous comment on the coach. Please, this team is 12-2, you lost to the #1 or #2 Superbowl contender in the AFC by 6 points with 8 of our defensive starters out. Give it a rest on Campbell. He's the best coach Detroit has seen since Scotty Bowman.
@ I’m sorry, going for it on 4th & 3 on YOUR OWN 30, is moronic when the opposing team has a potent offense and your defense is questionable. Do that against Minnesota and see what happens.
@@vacayooper4728 I’m sorry it’s not that clear for you to see. I’m sure the decades of being in the divisional cellar have warped your perception of reality. Good post game interview. Classy and respectful. JG is Detroit. 💯
