I really want to play this game, but it's online only and I wish there was a single player like CTRNF. At least with that game you can play online and offline, even though you have buy cosmetics by staying online.
agree, its got a practice mode which is basically vs bots but you earn no xp for it and you still need to wait 5-10 min for the game to sync up with their servers when you switch on regardless, its weird really as even the likes of ghostbusters or Evil Dead gave a lot of consideration to single players even though its focused on online multiplayer. The game very much feels incomplete like it's missing things.
@@oldgrimrascal This game feels like a Crash 4 scrapped mode that got brought back to life because the next game is seemingly too far away and they had nothing planned which is probably why this game feels so empty and lifeless
@@RadiaUmbra apparently from what I heard this is a crash 4 scrapped mode, this was meant to be released as an extra mode with crash but wasnt ready so they just worked on it as it's own thing but it still feels incomplete even the menus dont look quite right and its weird that if you enter a match you can't just customise your guy etc because it just jumps into a new queue. I've often found that as I check what xp ive earned im suddenly in a new match that i didnt even want to be in. After 2 hours at most i find im done for the day with this game, it needs more characters to add variety im already bored of the same people over and over
The biggest problem with this game is also the release timing. June has been a stacked month for games, burning holes in wallets and MOST people don’t have room for this game especially when you think about what you get vs what it costs. Not to mention it’s only on PlayStation and Xbox so it’s cropping itself even harder.
so true with DIABLO 4, street fighter and final fantasy 16 whos gonna buy this one bro... i bought it to be honest because im a big fan of crash but it wasnt the best time to release it now for sure.
The amount of coping is pretty hilarious. The game will have low sales, because it sucks, not because it was released in June lmfao. This game is a disgrace, and Crash 4 was mid af. I've been a Crash fan since the '90s. This game is a disgrace and makes Crash Boom Bang look like a masterpiece.
Honestly you gotta realize with that needing of constant updates is that you must realize it will take a long time to code so I actually believe that 3 months is a reasonable amount of time.
Exactly. Ripper Roo coming within a few weeks. N. Gin and a new map on its way before September. So, I'm more waiting for new game modes which will happen soon
I was really excited about this game. But upon seeing that it is purely PvP and NOT free-to-play, I hesitated - if nobody else is playing the game, I would have spent 40 dollars on nothing.
I bought it thinking it would be great, in reality it’s quite boring doing the same thing over and over again. Dingodile is completely overpowered and you can’t change character half way through so if your in a game full of dingos it’s pointless.
Yeah 3 months for a season is just too long imo. Go to a 3 month season after a year when the game is established and has its players. People are gonna play for a week or two and not care that they released a new character 2 months after they’ve stopped playing already. It’s a fun game and I hope it can survive, but I’m pretty worried if it’ll keep its players past the first month tbh
I don't think this is a feature but they could combine the "brawling" with the normal gameplay by allowing players to "steal" another's Wumpa fruit when attacking them. Also, 3 months is a bit long for a single season with few additions I think?
In my opinion? They should change the game to FTP, and let people buy cosmetics and the battle pass. People who already purchased it get legacy items and other bonuses. FTP games really really help game survival
For me these are currently the biggest problems with this so far: - Not being f2p - No PC/Switch versions (it's crucial for a multiplayer game to be on as many platforms as possible) - Only 1 gamemode that will become repetitive within a week (Nitro Fueled has 9 with difficulty sliders couch co-op to make it even more varied) - Lack of content (even at launch, Nitro Fueled had much more content) Conclusion: They missed a good opportunity to make a party game, sort of like a reboot of Crash Bash with more fun mini games and a much more fair campaign mode that could have been updated monthly like Nitro Fueled. This paired with a good multiplayer mode would have been golden. Instead we have... whatever this is. I will give it until the end of the year before the player base dissipates.
I’m really enjoying the game right now. Something I feel they could do if the price tag is the main turn off for people then they could do a free demo which would give you access to all the content available in the beta and you would have 3 or 4 days to play it and once that timer is up it will say to get the full game to continue playing and you would still have all you progress. I think this is a good idea because I feel like this game is one where you have to play it to understand how fun it is thats how I was convinced to like this game because when I first saw the trailer I didn’t hate the idea but I didn’t love it either but as soon as I played the beta I fell in love with this game. Another thing the game could benefit from is an in-game item shop. But to do this I feel they would have to make the game free but for people who bought the game they would receive a large amount of the in game currency. And the item shop would use a in game currency that you could buy or you could grind by playing matches. I feel this could be a good direction for the game to go in the future but that’s just my thoughts
I'm afraid this will be like crash team racing, great support for 9 months and then nothing... after that anyone still playing will be elite players pushing out new players
This game looks good but for what's there, I'm surprised they went with a paid price game. Should've been FTP with a $10 battle pass like the bog standard for this kind of game. I'd have been in there already but...eh, $30-40 makes me give pause, especially with how much amazing games have been coming out this year.
I think the base game at launch is solid, but also A BIT lackluster. It's all around fun, but it needs just a bit more. Maybe if they add 3 more maps, and 4-6 more heroes, with maybe 3 more power-ups, then that's where the base game with one single game mode can shine and be more than mildly lackluster. For game modes, definitely. 100%. There needs to be more than just the base wumpa collecting one. Permanent modes need to be a thing, and it's good that the survey that they did included like 15-20 game modes that they're considering! Crash Team Racing realistically has 4 actual "characters" or stats that change the game up a bit. Rumble has a full EIGHT unique characters, each with their own different moveset and key role. The gameplay is all around fun. Even with a price tag, it's still fun. Very few games like Rumble are paid online-only multiplayer. Games like Dead By Daylight have stayed up for 7 years at this point, and it's still thriving. Going free to play in my opinion is not a good idea for the LONGTERM longevity of the game... or any game really. Right from the get-go, you are relying on player-spent mtx and money to fund the game that's not a price tag... which means mtx would be even more egregious, tedious, ridiculous, and too much... combined with a battle pass that would likely not even reward you with the premium currency. Not all free to play games do that, and those that do tried to emulate Fortnite's format, but failed. Most F2P games recently have been shut down due to these reasons alone, combined with no interest, saturated market, and literally next to no properly-thought out gameplay. CAN Rumble go F2P down the line? Absolutely. SHOULD it? Imo, no. I'd rather have a dedicated playerbase that were convinced with the game already to play continuously, rather than rely on potential new players that may not even stick around in a f2p format. One thing I could suggest is free to play weekends every 2 weeks or something per month. That would give people a chance to try the game out and convince them to buy the full game and so on. Longterm I think this would be a wiser alternative than just fully going f2p. Battle pass is... a battle pass lol. They said they will follow the industry standard, which will be either $5 or $10. There IS an actual in-game currency when you open up the battle pass menu. It's Gems. The survey also had a question about earnable currency within the battle pass... and it would seem like that they might be going that route other than just buying mtx, which is actually welcoming, because that would allow you to basically get the battle pass for free after the first purchase, provided you actually complete the battle pass to gain the necessary amount from it to cover the next in a continuous loop. Fortnite does this. COD does this. I think Fall Guys also does it. There will be a store in the future, but they've not focused on that just yet. So in the short-term, it is technically FOMO, but like Nitro-Fueled, stuff from previous seasons may return into the in-game store and so on... like every other game. There are actually 9 maps in the base game, with the 10th one coming in July or August. For content distribution and events, CanadianGuyEh actually confirmed from the devs directly that the seasonal content format is not the same, meaning this season we're getting 2 heroes and 1 map. Season 2 may likely be 3 heroes and 2 maps. Season 3 might be 2 heroes and 3 full maps, and so on. It's not monotone, so that's something good to know. They also mentioned that there will be weekly-ish events that would "spice up" the game. No idea how that would be but probably in-game weekly challenges and whatnot that might reward the in-game Gem currency. Like any MP game, it needs consistent content drops to not be tiring or get stale, which TFB have confirmed that they're "ready for a marathon". They also confirmed that they are able to work on other full scale projects WHILE working on this game as well, so that's pretty great to know. Lastly, for characters every 3 months, we are now dealing with balance and unique abilities for each character. Unlike Nitro-Fueled, nothing here is meant to the same as the other. I think at least one character per month is pretty solid considering this game is hero-focused this time around. I guess the brawling mode you're mentioning is Team Deathmatch. Yes, everyone can agree that the game needs more modes outside of just wumpa collecting, or other styles of play that would work with the combat itself as well. I think the game is going to survive and do just fine under TFB's hands. Great video, Niel.
Thank you for all the info Abdul! You really took your time explaining all this! As for the characters... If Super Smash Bros can have 30+ characters and still be pretty balanced, this game can surely do that too 😁 So 1 character each month should be doable
I agree with many of your points, but this game feels like a free to play game. The price tag is not justified with the current state of the game. At least for now. Only 1 game mode its tough…
10:48 Limiting what classes/characters people can play as will end up taking away some of the fun value this game has (even if it was only for a more "competitive" mode you would have to hope you don't get forced to play as a character/class you don't like, which is a MAJOR reason I hated Overwatch 1 making that change).
Role queueing doesn't mean you get forced to play a certain role tho... It means you pick the role you want to play before finding a game so you always play the role you like 😁
@@TheRealNiel You're right however I didn't think you meant queueing as a selected class before getting into a server. Either way it still limits you on what characters you can pick, which if there's more than one character you like playing as but they're not in the same class (example: Ripper Roo as blocker and N.Gin as booster) you'll only be able to play as one unless you leave the game, which still takes away some of the value of playing the game (it gets boring playing as the same character every game).
We need at least a new map per month but for now, the game for me is brilliant and I couldn’t have wished for anything better, it is what it is and I’ve been down for it since the beta
I've bought all crash games since the remake of the original trilogy, and I'm a Crash fan since I'm 5, but Rumble isn't worth it. This type of online support, crossplay and scheduled content should have gone to Beenox and their remake of the real CTR instead, that project had a lot of passion and was a love letter to the franchise and fans.
I really enjoy it, i think there is some balancing issues like how its so easy to run away from tawna, some powerups, boost pads takes too long, super body slam is hard to intercept
The game's had a lot of passion put into it, and is totally unique. I consider it silly to think it will die so fast, but I also have no patience for those who stay away from it because it isn't Crash Bash. To be frank if you truly wanted Bash over this gem, you have no taste in video games.
The game is basically in the same state as Dragon Ball: The Breakers is. I don't see how they can hold the interest for long. Unless there's more modes rank is going to be dead in a month in for sure. Both games needs this
Not even a ranked system, how are u an online game wich claims to have competitive with no ranked system?. It will be senseless to keep playing it in just a few weeks.
The game is ok for what it is, it's fun but there's no depth at all. No ranking system or tracking of wins and loses, so loosing or winning makes no difference. Everyone plays the same way. You trap spam the enemies bank so they can't deposit and that's it. I give this game a few months maybe less.
For me personally i think Toys for Bob put out the beta expecting the public to say that this is the best thing since sliced bread. I don't think they were prepared for the negative feedback and since then went on the mentality we are right and you are wrong and you will love it on the full game. The fact they are not making further game modes a priority in their season road map backs up that point. Unless there is drastic change in direction from Toy's for Bob i can see the player base falling off a cliff before the start of season 2 due to extreme repetitiveness and lack of other game modes. Had Toy's for Bob listened to feedback seriously a delay in the game release in order to get more game modes would have been a better option then what we have got right now. Failing that extending the beta making it free to play while they sorted out other game modes would have built up the player base and given those who were on the fence a opportunity knowing they are working on other modes. As of right now this game has simply given me no reason to buy it at least until the roadmap for season 2.
Why would you want 2 characters every months? This isn't ctr nf where all characters share a set of stats, if you add a lot of characters here it's gonna become unbalanced.
So far me atm I’m waiting until Crash team rumble goes on sale on my PS5 before I pick it up because atm $29.99 seems a bit much that and I hope they do a free to play weekend at least often so this way they bring new players in
I feel like depending on how the game does by season 2 will decide the fate of this game. If you look at the game there’s an addition that includes season 1 and 2 and if it’s still doing poor by then then it’s gonna get canceled
I think they would've made more money, and had a healthier long term player base if they made it a "free to play" game. I'd be playing it, and I don't kind throwing $10-$20 on items, as long as I really enjoy it. I spent $10 on splitgate stuff way back. But I can't see myself buying this game for $30. I really don't think I'd play more than once a month.
Solidus Snake don't think it's that simple...also answer this if you get on right now and see someone who is level 25 does that mean they are experienced at the game?
Game just Comes Out and has already confirm more is coming soon within 2 Months ish Everyone:yea it's gonna die not enough stuff and it's different from usually Crash Bandicoot Games Me:i like it it's fun Y'all just have no Patience Not everything can be Free
Yeah and it has one thing Nitro fueled doesn't have. Crossplay! Once they finally come out with a Switch and PC ports, no worries. So even once they finish updating there will always be a healthy player base. I do hope for new modes. Maybe one specifically on knocking out opponents
its a fun game without a doubt but on my first time playing it I was immediately destroyed by near max level players already, the learning curve is non existent and so is matchmaking. I still found fun but after 2 hours I was ok and didnt need to continue. The battlepass is ok but it's going to take a lot of grinding and with the matches lasting just a few minutes its going to get tedious if you try and grind for too long. Id say grinding for that battlepass is only worth it on the double xp weekends because it's going to get stale fast. This game is basically powerstone on the dreamcast, its fun but it needs more modes or match type options like capture the flag, battle royal knock out or something.
@@TheRealNiel 100%, people literally going for the throat, day 1 someone had a max level N.Tropy which is an instant loss. The thing that annoys me is that if I face dingodile he seems to be able to chain attack me non stop but if i play dingo dile I can't chain his spin in the same way its really frustrating. I can only play for around an hour now before I need a break. The progression on the battle pass is insulting, no way I'll finish it.
For me personally, I don’t usually play that much multiplayer games nowadays, but with Crash Team Rumble, it’s really fun. The only thing I want see in Crash Team Rumble is a single player mode. There are some online multiplayer games that don’t last very long due to the fact that it doesn’t have enough player base. I really think that Crash Team Rumble will go free to play in the future, but as of now, it doesn’t have any monetization in it.
This game is the epythome of a low effort cash grab. Virtually no content, no longevity, gets repetitive after 5 matches. I bought it because I wanted to support the Crash series but I honestly felt scammed.
Im refusing to buy or play this because its live service. after what happened with knockout city and multiversus im never buying or spending money on a live service game ever again.
The game is really fun no joke Yes maybe it should be f2p 💰 Yes each month add something new😅 Yes more game modes and a RANK system 🥇🥈🥈 Once you find the character you vibe with it’s a blast ❤
The game JUST came out, can we all chill a bit and see how this all plays out, instead of saying "its bad" right away? And also, you can unlock skins and such by lvl up your character
Yeah if you don't buy the battle pass the only cosmetics you can get are the character upgrade ones, which is not much :/ But indeed the game is fun and I'm excited to see where it goes!
People just stop making excuses it's only $30 buy it play it have fun I'm sure you have spent more than $30 before for some disappointing game like redfall so pay $30 and have fun
I honestly though the majority of games this days have an overrated price. In some cases it can be my personal taste of course, but there is a lot of triple A 60$ games (included remasters) that are way less worth than 10/5$ classics in the store like for example Quake.
@@Junjisboi "theres 0 microtransactions lol" --> proceeds to explain what a microtransaction is in the next comment... Now I get why battlepasses exist, some people don't think they are a cashgrab like you. You literally pay to grind a game until you despise it because you don't want FOMO. No wonder online gaming has been in the gutter for multiple years now.

This games needs a stability patch as well. The game keeps crashing every 5 mins or so, its the most unstable game i played.
Oh I havent experienced any crashes on my ps5 version of it
@@TheRealNiel Mines does, like a lot. I have no idea what's causing it.
thanks man you pointout what are the pain areas of the game
playing with bots is annoying alot
i was expecting the game like ps1 crash bash but im so disappointed that the game only internet online
Ripper Roo is coming in early July. So we'll probably get at least a new character or map monthly to help stretch out content
Yeah frequent updates are necessary to keep the game alive
I feel like the people who wanted a Bash remake want the series to be stuck in the past.
Or mayb we just like having a jam with our mates and not a bunch of tools online
This game won’t survive if you keep sending people angry messages when you lose 😔
It lead you to my channel tho 😉
Game should’ve been free to play
The game is basically in the same state as Dragon Ball: The Breakers is. I don't see how they can hold the interest for long. Unless there's more modes rank is going to be dead in a month in for sure. Both games needs this
It's confirmed Ripper Roo will come out in early July with no date for N. Gin and the new stage. Probably monthly
Looking forward to it!
Not even a ranked system, how are u an online game wich claims to have competitive with no ranked system?. It will be senseless to keep playing it in just a few weeks.
Yeah when all characters are maxed out and the only thing to do is playing to unlock items in the battle pass 😆
This is nothing like crash bash…. I’m disappointed.
I really don't understand the people that are saying they should've remade Crash Bash, or a game similar to it.
The game is ok for what it is, it's fun but there's no depth at all. No ranking system or tracking of wins and loses, so loosing or winning makes no difference. Everyone plays the same way. You trap spam the enemies bank so they can't deposit and that's it. I give this game a few months maybe less.
Yeah I feel that way too! Winning or losing... It doesn't really matter in this game... We really need a ranked mode or a stat tracker
You hit the nail on the head here... Only 1 game mode will kill this game off really quickly... We need more ways to play
I have a simple answer.
No,it’s going to die before it’s third season.
I also have that feeling sadly
Why would you want 2 characters every months? This isn't ctr nf where all characters share a set of stats, if you add a lot of characters here it's gonna become unbalanced.
Dude, you say that as if games with high rosters don't exist with balance
This dude is asking a lot for than just a month smh
The game is not balanced whatsoever right now haha
oh yes it will..a lot of content ...maps and characters are revealed and new modes too...
Just bought it so here we go.
I personally love the game
Me too!
I agree... Because I paid 30 euros already I'm now hesitant to buy any additional battle pass :/
Nah FTP model isn't sustainable nowadays unless the franchise is Strong enough like Mario or Pokemon.
I think the matchmaking is unfair and lack of game modes is what’s gonna kill the game
How is matchmaking unfair?
Solidus Snake so what...it needs skill based matchmaking....thought everyone hated that because it makes the game too try hard
Solidus Snake don't think it's that simple...also answer this if you get on right now and see someone who is level 25 does that mean they are experienced at the game?
Rocket arena taught me to wait on this one
Because it died off really quickly?
Is there split screen online?
Game just Comes Out and has already confirm more is coming soon within 2 Months ish
Everyone:yea it's gonna die not enough stuff and it's different from usually Crash Bandicoot Games
Me:i like it it's fun
Y'all just have no Patience
Not everything can be Free
Yeah and it has one thing Nitro fueled doesn't have. Crossplay!
Once they finally come out with a Switch and PC ports, no worries. So even once they finish updating there will always be a healthy player base. I do hope for new modes. Maybe one specifically on knocking out opponents
They need to have more maps
I love to boycot online only and battlepass games
Didn’t even know it was out lol
its a fun game without a doubt but on my first time playing it I was immediately destroyed by near max level players already, the learning curve is non existent and so is matchmaking.
Yeah it's only day 3 and there are already a lot of sweaty players...
0:48 Ehehe, Darude Sandstorm
Yeah these type of games you gotta play them when they are fresh
The game is really fun no joke
Yes maybe it should be f2p 💰
Yes each month add something new😅
Yes more game modes and a RANK system 🥇🥈🥈
Once you find the character you vibe with it’s a blast ❤
In a year it will be finished
No chance
theres 0 microtransactions lol
B pass
@@HighLanderPonyYT it's free if you bought it then in season 2 if U buy deluxe edition U get it free it's only 10$ with real money no mtx
@@RikuFemma theres no currency
@@Junjisboi And? Paid battlepasses are micro transactions buddy
Isn't this dead already???
This is just going to fail hard...
I doubt 😊
Only time will tell!
Nope
Smash Bros is repetitive and people praise it.
well smash bros is a fighting game, with many different modes and , many many different characters, stages and ways to change the experience. Its not repetitive in the same since of the word, if you can even call it repetitive.
Smash Bros also had over 30 characters 😆
Hahaha that was an AWFUL example bro 😂 but it made me laugh, so thank you
All online games get repetitive
The first
That almost like saying I woke up from sleep to say a comment
*Blue Shell*
Game sucks end of story 🗑️🚮👎
No it won’t
Not balanced at all but amazing
