Portaboy is back! And this time, he's here to quiz you about your video game knowledge! He's going to show you different versions of a sprite from Undertale. Of the variations, which one is real? For this set, we have Doggo, Greater Dog, W. D. Gaster, Asgore, Muffet, and Monster Kid. Try not to get tricked! Heh heh.
HARD MODE is trickier. More questions, more possible answers. Less changes. Good luck! Feel free to pause.

@@ThorDude no, that would only be in the Judgement Hall, the throne room, and the surface, although there might be a few more, but even then, that's just shadows casting on the characters, nothing like this

6/6, Muffet was dificult, but it's easy to remember because she spills her tea from her tea pot to make you pink, so it needs to be in her bottom hands.
Lowkey didn't even notice the position of the the teapots and cups were changing, my brain was auto-correcting the entire time I was trying to figure it out (and still failed)

Gaster F has the face of Uboa, a character from Yume Nikki which is one of Undertale’s inspirations. Uboa is also likely the inspiration for the mystery man sprite’s appearance

Toby Fox was inspired by Yume Nikki. It is possible that he was also inspired by Uboa during the creation of Gaster because they are very similar.

the only one i missed was muffet. i thought the teacups were being held below the teapots so she would logically be able to pour tea into them more easily.

As a fan of both Yume Nikki and Undertale, uboa+gaster coming out of nowhere terrified me.
And then Muffet turns into Monoko or something (imagine)
I had a perfect score until monster kid. That flipped sprite shit was evil
I tried to solve it without pausing. Ended up failing Muffet and mk just because there weren't enough time to analyse the sprites
I failed Doggo without pausing, i got the others correct though.

As i know, this character isn't actually Gaster, and it was originally inspired by Uboa

That Muffet one got me. I thought she held the tea pots ABOVE the cups- also I got tripped up on Monster Kid simply because it's just mirrored (the one I picked at least)

@@underplayer420 the eyes. Between a and b were the cups, same as c and d, but between a and c was the eyes since on a she had 5 and c she had 6
I just remembered her creepy blinking animation and was like “hang on she doesn’t have 6 eyes she has 5”
I think the only reason I knew it was A was because I have seen her first attack too many times.

Monster kid is easy to remember, just remember where asgore straight up punched the kid in the face.
Gonna be honest. Greater Dog, Muffet and Doggo are def Underrated characters.

I just realized that asgore probably wears purple because it used to be a very rare and expensive clothing color so only the rich like royalty could buy it.

The colored spites are alright, Muffet's teacups and teapots and Monster Kid's eyes and bow got me. Azgore's was a bit tough because of the 2 shades of purple but I managed.
I remembered that asgore had a dark blue-purple-ish not light.

The only reason I remembered Muffet was because I remembered the cool animation her eyes did and how she poured the purple tea in the beginning of her fight and if the tea pots were in her top hands it would’ve collided with the cups.

Yeah that one was pretty hard I basically guessed the muffet one
Got it right though.
How I remembered it was how during her fight, she splashes tea on us (the player) to change our color- so it had to be on the bottom, because if the teapots were on top, itd be to distracting (from a sprite/design standpoint-itd be to cluttered)

ooh i think i got the muffet one because the teacup being at the top just looks more balanced, with the flat brim of the cups making a horizontal line and the teapots on the bottom are bigger and heavier compared to the cups, which is a design principle.
good thing i paid less attention to the bottom row though, the number of eyes would have made me think more
