Hey Mike, typically I pin the bands on. Traditional, they were both pinned or glued. I have seen both on original horns. I tend to believe that base bands were usually pinned and those farther up the body of the horn glued. I’ve examined original that were missing bands and there was no evidence of pin holes. Always learning and evolving my craft as I do! Thanks for your question!
Thanks for the observation, but the intake on that particular style of heat gun is on the sides. It is made sit like that while running for hands-free operations. 👍🔥
Gawd, please don’t let your beard get caught in that mandrel 😂!!! Enjoyed the video, appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
Sweet
Nice work
Thank you!🙏🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
I need to get a lathe!
Definitely worth the investment!👍
Thx. You've inspired me to make a banded horn. It's gonna cost me about a grand for the lathe and what not. Lol. But hey.. it's only money.
Well worth the investment!👍
Damn good work you need more views and subscribers 👏.
I agree!😀
Hopefully we’ll be getting some new videos up soon! Maybe that will help!👍
Hello Clint:
I'm curious? Can you do a video on how you attach the bands to a horn?
Thank you.
God bless:
Dave
Awesome idea. I will definitely put it on the list for a future video. Thanks for the suggestion!

Ain't a good idea to put the heatgun on top of the intake cutting of the supply of air while it's still on, just an observation 🤔

What were you using to make the band?
Bands are turned from cow horn.
