I'm a bank guy & I can confidently say that the Karashi is a game changer! If you can find them, buy them! It takes a bit to figure out the action, but when you do, it's a fish catcher. It is on the lighter side, but I can get it out there on my UL rig. It will catch bigger fish as well. Thanks Matt!
Crazy. Just organizing my tackle for the coming season today and found three of them in my deep storage boxes. Pulled them out of deep storage and put them in my go bag. And here we are. Never had a lot of luck with them but was determined to get them some use this year.
In my world of speckle trout fishing. We have been using twitch baits since i can remember especially mirrorlures. We have the mrgo wich is miles and miles of rock shoreline. In the winter they are killer.
Twitch baits like the Berkley Finisher, Megabass Oneten, Rapala X Rap etc.. are popular by pearch anglers here in the Netherlands. Recently i bought the Finisher in size 5 and 7 cm. for the coming season. Thanks for sharing Matt!
Matt, you’re killing my hidden secrets; from the worms you mentioned a few months ago, to these “twitch” baits. I’ve been using the Karashi for years. Even the guy at the local tackle store, says I’m the only guy buying them, when I asked him to restock the color scheme I like. 👍 keep some stuff on the down low!🤣🤣🤣😂
try a karashi on BFS gear on a clear smallmouth lake Matt! I did it this fall down in texas and had a blast several 19 to 21 inch fish on 6lb test, so much fun.
The finisher has been really good for me, and I fish it out off a jonboat at the river among laydows with no electrinic and also as a bladebait off muddy bottoms and make small jumps or pops them kill it then pop is some more not even a ft or a few snappy jerks to make it shot across. But for me the 5 have the best in cold water would love a 9 but with a slower fall rate so if you got a redphone to Berkly can you tell them to maybe try to get out a "slowsink" with the bigger profile. :P I do think that it would smash em. :)
Great stuff Matt…. Is the hook tie on top of the Finisher impart better action than the straight one in your opinion??!! Interesting….thanks as always for the video!! 🍻🍻
Dang Matt, not sure how you have done it but you have a lot of interesting comments, lol. I picked up some in the fall and at least for lmb I haven't had any luck, they do look good and dart around just have to keep trying them and see if I can figure them out.
Biggest difference is the shimmy down and the depth control, that's not to say controlling the depth is easy. That said, Finisher prob. might not be in the same category. That said, I would say Finisher is better. Since people wanna say I am an elite to myself, let me tell you what is wrong with the Finisher; 1. The front hook will foul on line bc it tends to go side to side. 2. The side-to-side is not doable closer to the shore much like back-weighted topwaters. 3. The lure drops too fast. Some fish are unable to key in and target lock on the strike. 4. Hooks are too small in the mid-size and below, allowing fish to come off or kick the hook. Happened to me a few times in the few times I've been able to use it. If I had a guess, I would go with the other brand of twitch where it emits sound, but who am I? To not have no sound is basically to have a 70 Alpha. But yall motherfookers kept saying I am a legend unto miself. Go fooking study the craft and come talk to me again.
I bought some of these to try for 2025. I know they are erratic but my concern is how they swim without twitching them. If the bait is just a fast twitch (back and forth) darter then the fish may get conditioned pretty quickly.
I FUGGIN had this thing in my hand an hours ago at the store! Lol put it back cuz I never heard of it. Prolly go try a few. I really haven't messed with the lipless twitches

I have all of the Finishers. 3 sizes and they catch a ton of fish. And I used your link
Awesome thank you for the channel support
The Megabass Karashi is extremely light. I have caught fish on it but it’s hard to cast with any distance. It seems to be a small fish magnet as well.
it is a light bait
Just ordered a half a dozen of these yesterday!
Have fun!

I believe it helps create faster movement and more erratic motion
What's your top 3 colors for the finisher?
I like the blue smelt, wakasagi and stealth shad

i rarely have the finisher foul on it self which is really odd to me

The Bill lewis one
You should give it a try!
Hey Matthew! Would a twitch bait work at all in my fairly shallow, mossy (especially after the water warms up...) ponds?
yep you just need to keep it up off the bottom
Man, I wonder if the creator of those bots even knows what fishing is. 😂. Thanks, Matt, for doing a great job sharing tips.
I wish they would go away

If this thing works in hookup, it will take the market.
Yep…but i don’t think hookups will be good
