The song that was meant as a "throwaway song" Swedish Pagans, originally released as a bonus track, ended up being an audience favorite and a must at every concert.
Great reaction as always 🤘❤💯 I love Sabaton and they are loved by so many for their awesome music and their lyrics based on history. You get great music, history and general education in one and the same song. hugs from Sweden 💯🤘
A true banger, this song has both a groove, and a unique vocal cadence in the chorus. The sound of the entire band (sans Hannes) singing this live is very rich!
Hello Daniel thank you for your kind comments on the greatest band on the planet, i have been a fan of there's for many years now as one of my personal interests from a young age is the military and military history. I had family that served in the British Army and the Royal Air Force ( RAF) during WW2 and later a cousin who was a Captain of a Royal Navy frigate. I wanted to serve my country England in the British Army and went for an interview with my local Regiment....The Royal Anglian Regiment but i was turned down because of medical issues. I got into Sabaton when I first heard them from my mates Sabaton album where i was hooked. My personal favourite's are The Christmas Truce, 1916, En Livstid i Krig, Rorke's Drift, Dreadnought, Winged Hussars, Night Witches, Shiroyama, Red Baron,To Hell and Back, Last Stand and The Lost Battalion. Mind you all Sabaton songs are just incredible. Sabaton videos should be shown in every history class in every school on the planet to educate children, for them to never forget those heroes who fought and died or had received life changing injuries also all Veterans who gave there freedom to fight for the freedom that many of us enjoy today. Those who i look up to in life are Veterans weather British or our Allies, those who suffered life changing injuries but my heroes including my late mum and dad are those who gave there lives from WW1 to today. Daniel you are a Military Veteran from our close Allie and I want to personally thank you for your service and for keeping this British civilian safe when you served in America's Military. Every Civilian owes military Veterans gratitude and a lot of respect and that is what i have for you, your country's Veterans, our British veterans and all Veterans of our Allies. Thank you Daniel and Welcome to the Sabaton Family. BRITISH SABATON FAN 💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🏴🤝🤝🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💙💛🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪 ps I have just subscribed to you Sir.
Great reaction!🤘 I couldn't have said it better myself! 😊 This is why Sabaton is my favourite band. They have all of the songs from the Great Tour, 2020 (including this song) recorded on their official YT channel. Now it would be one song at the time and not the whole concert in one piece. And you also need to know the setlist to get it in the right order. All of the songs are recorded from different arenas around Europe. But the visuals and audio have high quality. There is also the show from Woodstock, Poland, 2012. I think you have access to the whole show. But the Sabaton line up is a bit different. It's good to know if you choose that one.
Following this you should do Father (if you haven't done it), as it talks about Fritz Haber who was partially responsible for this as the father of chemical warfare.
i suggest listening to the song Father by the Sabaton as well. it's DIRECTLY connected to this song. it's the father both figuratively and literally to this song. it's about Fritz Haber who was the scientist who's credited as "the father of chemical warfare" as he invented Chlorine Gas by discovering how to use ammonia to make fertilizer and Zychlon-A the first pesticides, but also, in doing so, figuring out that it can be deadly in high concentrations. thus, Chlorine Gas was born and eventually Mustard gas and, most horrifyingly, Zychlon-B AKA the gas used in the Chambers in the Nazi death camps. he's seen as one of the most controversial figures in history as he won the Nobel Prize for his work in helping farmers bring food reliably to people, regardless of circumstances, but he has a lot of hatred too due to his cruel method of killing.
Привет, спасибо за обзор. Не поверишь, но есть русская версия этой песни от Radio Tapok - Атака мертвецов, с клипом с кадрами из короткометражного фильма про эту историю. Уверен, что понравиться. Greetings from St.-Peterburg!
Just to help you for pronunciation, since Slavic phonetics is weird, W makes a V sound, C makes a Ts sound. Osowiec is pronounced Oh-So-Vee-Ets for example The issue with Polish is it using a Roman alphabet but the letters often having different sounds.
Thanks for your reaction! It's one of my favourite songs of Sabaton. Osowiec is situated in today's Poland and thanks to this song I went to visit the Fortress this summer! Awesome feeling. I also recommend to watch Radio Tapok's cover and " Osowiec. Attack of the Dead Men: Wargaming Short Film. Premiere with English dubbing!" Liked and subscribed! :-) 40 km from the Fortress Osowiec there is the grave of Kpt Raginis who defended Wizna. The song 40:1 by Sabaton is about this event of 1939. The great video of this song is from the epic concert Woodstock, Poland, 2012. Epic!
If you want a ”cryer” and very sensible song with Sabaton… pls try ” Bullets Fly” animated version with them.. TRUST ME.. not an eye will be dry… dare me pls with a reaction to it 🤘🤘🤘
Sabaton Concert in Houston TX 10/1/22 . The photo shows a fan in a gas mask. The song Attack of the Dead Men starts about 20:30 of 1:36:00.This show starts with a tribute to WW1 Dough Boys, and the need for a national WW1 monument (which they now have I think). The intro video is truly moving, especially when the news films shows 1918 crowds cheering the end of the war at the same time the Sabaton audience is cheering the end of the war. Very strange sensation to look into the eyes of people in the past, and share a moment of celebration, that Americans had done something good together. Not sure if you want to react to the whole concert, but it's a lot of fun to watch and listen to. Also, there is a vlog, so you can see what the band members were up to during the tour.
A song that shows all the strength of spirit and courage of Russian soldiers. Knowing that they were poisoned and as good as dead, the soldiers found the strength to defeat the enemy. I am grateful to Sabaton for this song. And thank you very much for this reaction.
@@mikaelsjoberg5024 while that is true, it is still admirable to still take up their weapons and charge the enemy while coughing up their lungs. Most people I would guess would lie dying on their ground not even thinking about fighting anymore.
@@SayaViking what's even a bit more impressive is the fact that 100 odd Russian soldiers (with some reserve troops) managed to force 12 battalions of 7000 German soldiers into retreating.
I think it was Mr Ballen, but it may have been That Chapter...they actually covered this case in detail. definitely worth a listen. Going to re-iterate listening to Van Canto. Can't help it as these two band fit together; hand and hand to me. Love it. Thanks
I just came across this video two months late, but a random fact about this battle is that the man who ordered the gas attack and in charge of the Germans is the same a-hole who put the man with the funny Stache in power of Germany in the 1930’s.
When the dead start speaking Russian... You need to check out the live action as well, it drives home the conditions in Osowiec, horrifying for both sides.
Just for the sake of interest: there is a Russian who has done covers of songs by world famous groups, including this one. Actually "Sabaton" has done a cover of his song: as the singer told, they have been considering a song about the battle of Moscow, and finally did a cover. But this video is special for cameo. Only subs will be of no use, because Oleg sings in Russian which is grammatically different to English, so he has to rewrite the lyrics. th-cam.com/video/hRow6G5wQIw/w-d-xo.html
Hey, I love your reactions! Did you already watch the video Joakim, the singer of Sabaton, did with Nanowar of Steel, called Pasadena 1994? It is about a totally different kind of battle. Have fun!
BTW I am a huge Sabaton fan, I even call my broadcast "Attero Dominatus" after one of their songs, and that has been up and running on our radio station for 17 years now! :D
Finally got a video Up today! Sorry for the late upload! Much love guys.
I highly recommend watching the cover of this song performed by Radio Tapok. You will be very (but pleasantly) surprised))
You are getting why we love Sabaton!
When they're in their home country, they bring out all the props. Watching them live is addicting.
The song that was meant as a "throwaway song" Swedish Pagans, originally released as a bonus track, ended up being an audience favorite and a must at every concert.
My favourite song by Sabaton. I was so happy they did this one live when I saw them in concert. 🤘☺️

A fight worth nothing, they didn't defeat the enemy, they lost
