Really enjoying this series. I own a 2017 sport 1050 and I came across your videos by accident. However I've now subscribed as I love your presenting style and especially you honesty. Showing where things go wrong is a brilliant way to learn. Thankyou so much for this excellent series and looking forward to catching up on all your other videos.
Great video again. I use the oil filter removal cup, which makes changing so much easier. I noticed you removed the wiring harness to help access the valve cover. Good tip. I should have done the same, rather than me resorting to strapping the cables and hoses up with ductape! Looking forward to the start-up.
Great video,im saving them to my playlist for future reference,I have been debating about fitting the thicker cables but didn't know where to get them from, so I will now get some and fit before the bike comes out from hibernation next month.Big thank you ,keep them coming👍
@@DGMotorcycles starting from cold It doesnt seem to crank over as fast as i'd expect ( Im also a plant engineer ,dont like the term " fitter" we are more than that )👌
@@xl250mon5yeah mate I’d double check your CCA in battery if all good these pudding cables will help turn it over faster. Haha it’s never really bothered me if someone calls me a fitter. We know what we are worth 😀
Hi Dan - great video, love your work. The front tyre tread is 180 degrees out from when you removed the wheel ( check your first video to see the difference). If you haven’t had the tyre off the rim I suspect you put the wheel in back to front. Take a look and let me know what you think. Not trying to be a knob - it just seems obvious when I look at it and it might save you a bit of time trying to work out why the wheel is suddenly stiff to rotate
Thanks mate, no you are right in this video the I did put the wheel in the wrong way round. I think I did notice a couple days later and it is now the right way round 👍🏻
Love the rebuild vids. Learning so much. I have a first gen Sport. Just wondering how you get hold of the upgraded cables. Not clear in the forums. yep always fill the oil filter, just makes sense to me. Can't wait til you hit the start button!
Thanks, if you search Jeff ‘pudding’ halford on Facebook mate he should come up. Or join triumph tiger 1050 and tiger sport 1050 owners on Facebook he is also in there. Hope this helps.

Nice work. Got the older 1050. Lots of fun. Look forward to the next one when we hear it run.

I'd check the manual as most bike I know you don't screw in the dip stick to get the correct oil level reading, you just rest it on the filler neck.
Yeah I did refer to manual and says to screw it in fully then check. But yeah like you say most are wipe clean and dip.
You must be minted buying ready mixed coolant from Triumph ! 😂
Have to keep the tax man off my back some how 🤣
