We had such a great time eating so much amazing street food in Singapore! We hope you like the video as much as we enjoyed making it. We have so much more delicious content coming your way ❤️
OMG!!! seeing you both eat the wantons and dumplings and noodles just make me so hungry. Glad to see you both having such an amazing good time eating!!! Makes me drool... hahaha!!!
Yes my darlings, the food in Singapore can be absolutely fabulous. However, be aware that the locals have somewhat of an aversion to vegetables and other fibre rich foods. For many visitors this can have a rather unfortunate effect on their digestive system (read total shut down). So, when you are at a hawker centre, please consider patronizing one of the many fruit stalls. Salad stalls have even started to appear in recent times as younger people become more health conscious . Two other tips. Check out the Botanic Gardens and Joo Chiat. The food is great at both as well as the scenery.
Thank you so much for this insight! Our visit to the gardens and Joo Chiat will be coming soon on the next episodes - don’t worry, we made sure not to miss those! 😉
If you like coffee with sugar & cream (or milk), you should check out Heap Seng Leong next time you’re in town. They’re famous for their butter coffee & kaya toast, toasted over a charcoal fire. Alternatively, you could also try Chin Mee Chin, which has other baked goods besides just coffee, toast & soft-boiled eggs…
One could get the same Michelin-star food at half the price across the street at the Chinatown Hawker Centre also by Hawker Chan (minus the air-con). Look out for the queue because it is value for money.
Welcome to Singapore!! So glad you had a great time eating through Singapore!! :D We also put up some videos on great food places to check out in SG! :D
I'm a Malaysian staying in Malaysia, North of Singapore. Here we have 70% Malay, 25% Chinese and the rest Indian, Iban, Kadazan, etc. If only Tunku didn't let Singapore out in 1965, Malaysia wouldn't stay behind. In Penang, you'll find food from all places. Ipoh, Selangor, Melaka, Johor, Miri, Kota Kinabalu... And many more...
Kopi = Coffee (suger + sweet condensed milk) Kopi O = Black Coffer (Suger) Kopi O Kosong = Black Coffee There is at least 12 ways (including the above 3) to order kopi (coffee) in SG... And at least the same amount of ways to order tea... If you guys are still in SG... Die Die must try.... "Soup Tulang Merah" at Golden Mile Hawker Centre...
They do not all close at three. The ones that open in the morning close early. The late shifts open around three and some open later and go through till they sell out.
The main reason why Hawker Chan Soya Sauce Chicken received the Michelin Star was the price, it used cost only $2.50 Singapore dollars or $2 US dollars. In fact, many locals were perplexed when he was awarded the Michelin Star. Sure, it's not bad, but there are better Soya Sauce Chicken options. It's not that special. The only thing that made it special in the past was the price, but with the price increase now, it's no longer worth it.
Thanks for watching! We try to be open minded when tasting other chefs food to stay respectful - we know how much work goes into making the dishes, and we try to give honest feedback instead of making comments on how it should have been done - especially since this cuisine is not our specialty. Overall, if we think that the food is made correctly and tastes good, we recommend it in a way that most people would understand 😊 thank you for the feedback - we’ll definitely try to give more technical comments if you guys would find that interesting!
@@TheTravelingChefs I was hoping for a chefs dissection of food contents, & cooking methods, rather than criticising. Basically, a chefs guesswork of contents and the cooking methods. This will aid the viewer in better understanding the food. From afar.
Yes it’s a lot more expensive now than before! There are soooo many amazing food spots in Singapore especially at the hawker centers, and we will definitely come back to try more next time 👍🏽
I think they’d get more views if the gentleman stops WHISPERING through his videos. It’s super unnatural and irritating. Just talk at a normal volume you’re not gonna disturb anyone. You’re a vlogger have more confidence. The lady is so much more natural when she talks

You guys eat so well:) It's different when you have a couple of proper chefs rather than "foodies" or influencers. Actual relevant advice

If u dont want it strong you have to add poh. Kopi o kosong poh
Ahh good to know!!! There are so many different ways to order coffee 😅
Something missing. As travelling chefs blogging, I was expecting a added angle from the chefs angle rather than a same tourist blog.

Hawker chan has no star anymore and is just recommended (my other comment got deleted for no reason)
Oh no!! It was still really yummy though! 👍🏽
I must apologise. I saw an Asian man wearing a hat behind you.
Thank you for watching! 👍🏽
already lost the star in 2021!
Ahh yes we heard! Sad to hear they lost the star, but we still enjoyed the food though 😊
Hawker chan is really not worth it.
We really enjoyed it! But we can see that it’s probably not for everybody 😊

Sorry about that!! We try so hard not to be obnoxious because we don’t want to disturb all the other people eating 😅😅 thank you for the feedback!
