  • So, as seems to be a trend on the channel at the moment, this video is not full of fish, or any fish, this is a walk around of some of the Farnham Angling waters of which I would be targeting this season. I had a look at some Carp venues and multi species venues too so to have some variety in my fishing. I may do another video like this later in the year looking around iconic lakes such as the Yately complex. Join me on my ramblings exploring some really nice looking lakes.

Winchfield is exceptionally difficult and very few get caught.
Tarn is a lovely lake although it doesn’t hold anything big nowadays but has a lot of history and is where Andy Little used to fish a lot. Don’t worry about night fishing there, very safe.
Stockbridge is very pretty but can be a moody water although has fished very well recently.
Badshot Lea (in my opinion) is the land of the Noddy angler who likes to drink and smoke funny substances. Some lovely fish though.

Thanks that’s a great help. I did a video at Stockbridge yesterday and had a great day, loads of Tench considering it was so cold at night and sunny in the day. May try the Alice holt one next as fancy a few Carp. Cheers.

Remember to register your car if you are going to Lodge Pond (details in the handbook).
Take feeder gear with you as the Carp are small and plentiful. It gets very busy and you will see guys with full carp set ups, but completely unnecessary as the average size is approximately 5lb.
Can be fun catching them off the top too when the Sun is out.
      Enjoy.

How do you rate FAS waters now, 9months after this video was uploaded?
I hear it can be so busy at times that getting a swim at one of the specimen waters is rare?

I have not really fished any of the Yateley waters so can’t comment on those. But I have had no issues getting swims on any water I have been on. Nothing like I thought it would be. And rivers seem very unfished as I have been the only one on the stretch on a few occasions
