Hello looking for something to run with a yaesu ft891 that's been converted for 11m bands power output is 40w am 100w ssb but of course it can be adjusted down.....these radios don't have much for am swing but was wondering if the 703 could be a candidate for this radio and do they come already from the factory for 11m or do they need converted?
As I'm getting back into the hobby, I'm glad you explained the difference between average & pep. Terms I don't remember ever hearing back in the day.
If there's anything I can help you with let me know
Pretty good about a dollar a watt! I'm convinced and will be in touch rooster!
Got it in today looks good, bigger than I thought it would be
Awesome terry enjoy and thanks again sir
Love my 503hd
I do too good bang for the buck in my mobile rig!
I find they draw more when using FM. That might be why they recommend 60 amps supply as well.
Your the best bro
Any idea why the 703 has just started loud clicking on SSB. Relay chatter, but loud and didn't used to?
Sounds like your ssb delay isn't working
Love
So what’s the The end receiver seeing pep or average on their meter…

It was made for 20-30MHZ
Will a 50 amp DC power supply work with this linear?
It looks like it will
If you don't have it switched on correctly to ssb and you are transmitting on sideband can you damage it
Relays will just chatter, if you do that constantly it could wear the relay out
Boy you need to send me one
Does it not stress and wear the cb radio when using amplifier?
No
I own one. With a Stryker or a Uniden grant xl
