I am 72 years young and found your videos a few months ago. I really respect your open and honest tutorials/reviews. I still really enjoy makeup and love skin care. I know that taking care of myself, exercising, eating (mostly) healthy, and using makeup is so that I can feel the best version of me. My 40’s are long gone, but I can present the best of me and that makes me feel good about myself.. So thank you for your willingness to be so real. I'm 78 and I totally agree with you. I take pride in how I look. I wear make up, eat a low carb, healthy diet, take the time to do my hair and dress to look my best. Not nessasarily to impress anyone, but just to feel good about myself. I also think of it as honoring God ~ after all he gave us these bodies to take care of. 😊

I agree about Elf foundation. Their products are great and have replaced my department store make up with Elf products. I’m 79 years old and find the Elf foundation is perfect for light coverage.
In addition to Elf products, I have found NYX makes a great eyebrow brush called “Lift & Snatch”. I have light eyebrows because I’m blonde and as I’ve gotten older my eyebrows have “shrunk” and are even lighter. The NYX eyebrow product fills them in naturally. They look very natural and great. I agree with you about wearing make-up each day no matter what you plan to do makes you feel better.
I just turned 69 July 2nd and I put make up on everyday. It makes me feel good when I look in the mirror. Makeup makes us look attractive and alive! It truly changes our look...for the better. Great video!!
I think that another missed opportunity is not using an eyelash curler. The uplift the curler gives makes the difference in the eyelashes showing up. Without the curl the straight out lashes don’t really make the eyes standout, IMO! Lovely transformation.
So I watched your video s second time to study the hooded eye segment. I paused it, went into my bathroom, applied the shadow etc following your technique...and guess what...it works! At age 78 I have very hooded eyes, but with the upturn effect, they look much more youthful. Awesome! Thank you for your demo!
Beautiful makeup. Moved to east coast on Canada 2.5 years ago. Hate it…everything about it. Given up on makeup, caring for myself since moving here. I’m 64 years old. I used to love wearing makeup and doing my hair, exercising, caring for myself. Inspiring video Heather. If only that inspiration I felt watching your videos lasted. So glad to see you still here, as I haven't received any notifications and while strolling through a playlist, came across your videos I had saved - so clicked on to the most recent. Girl, you're only looking better. You haven't changed at all through the past four years. You're skin is glowing and vibrant. So glad you're still uploading because we never stop needing tips but especially us older women, 67 here. On some of these makeup videos the amount of "stuff" they have on their and the younger faces is enormous, over the top. Completely unnecessary. My most important factor is foundation, though. It even outs my skin tone, gives a fresh dewy complexion and is the compliment in pictures. Non comedogenic, of course or I would sweat 💦 and the good old Cover Girl tube concealer. Very small amount needed but will look at that Neutrogena. They're getting harder to find where I live or only have a minimal display. Tarte is not in the USA - I got it through Ipsy and love it. Powder the lashes with the transulent powder before mascara - what a difference and Maybelline Soft n Full, silver tube is my go to! It dries and a second coat can be had or on tips if you want. I also find supplements, Neocell with hyaluronic acid, to be a great benefit from the inside out. Helps with eyebrow growth, nails and skin. OMG, this video was soooo AWESOME! Real-life useful tips … and you don’t just “do” but you explain the “why” behind everything. ☺️ The best thing I ever did for myself was to get tattooed eyebrows. Makes it a lot easier to just fill in where needed.

Hi Heather: BEAUTIFUL, beautiful look! I don't think I could do that in five minutes, though. 😐 What a difference it makes. I lack motivation; that's my big issue. People always say, "Do it for YOURSELF", but, it's hard to care when you're both single AND invisible. I'll be 74 next month (ugh!), and, as much as I want to improve my appearance, it's an uphill battle (weight, thinning hair, aches and pains, jowls, etc. (BTW, I don't think you have those dreaded jowls). I try, but sometimes, I look in the mirror and think, "Why bother?" Anyway, this was a great video...I've always said I love how you do your makeup. I hope Bill and Hurricane are well. TFS. Hugs! The upswing with the eye makeup looks great! But I have smaller eyes that are kind of deep set, so I’m not sure if a dark color in the crease area would be good in my case. I wonder if eye makeup should change with the eye shape. ?
When nutrition not is as it has to be , the color of my eyes is light and eyes look "glassy" .When add nutrition and vitamins the color of Eyes look if it deepens and the color look definite .( Actually the nutrition shows in color of my Eyes)

Perhaps a foolish question but for the Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer when applied to the marionette lines; should its color be lighter or the same as the foundation used? I'm 78 years old and the application of such is now a neccessity .... 🤗. Thank you so much!
I am really loving your style of showing and explaining everything. But there’s a little dab of brown eyeshadow on the tip of right side of your nose that’s driving me crazy! 😄 I think it’d be really hard to make a make up/skin care video - or any video so just pointing that out. I’m 69 years old - almost 70! Overall, for me, life just keeps getting better and better.

Lash serum like Grande Lash or X-Lash is an absolute essential for me…use one nightly and have for years…made such a huge difference!!

About the same color but a little lighter will do (not darker though) Then lightly put foundation over it
