Interestingly and maddeningly, the idea of ‘plus size’ is actually a relatively new concept, like within the last 100 yrs or so. Previous to industrialisation all clothing was custom made, so there was no separate straight sized and plus sized fashion it was all the same. From memory it was around the 20’s when start seeing the concept of plus size fashion, and it comes alongside ready to wear fashion and trying to make standardised sizes.
I really enjoyed the first two episodes with Anna and Emma, but this one with Abisola is my favourite! I’ve been following her for a few years now and love how she puts together an outfit or curates a space. Either way her taste is *chefs kiss* Just to add, I agree with other comments that the audio needed a bit of work as it was hard to make out what was being said at a few points.
I first "met" Abisola through Brittany Bathgate, and I absolutely love her aesthetic. I've also been dying for another one of these episodes, so THANK YOU!!
What she said about how she always gets given the serious work to do is so real. I watched that happen to one of my old coworkers all the time!! My feelings were like, it’s great that you’re here acknowledging that you/we make things more difficult for her. But what makes you think the solution is to just ask her to do even more work? Like give her a break 😭 A paid holiday and a pay rise would be more appropriate. Like you evidently realise she has insights that no one else here has, and you’re admitting that the work environment takes more from her, so compensate her accordingly!!!
I love this interview! I do feel like I have missed parts of the answers (and obviously I miss out on that!) because of the volume changes in the speaking and the relatively loud background music. I can imagine it is hard to even out the changes in volume of the speaking, but not putting the music over it would have helped immensely in making this interview accessible to people like me who have a hard time filtering those sounds.
Something I notice with larger size clothing is that it's often just the small pattern blown up in every direction...but with no changes made for the way a larger body is different. Example, the bust will still be very high even though it's made for larger breasts...so the extra bust fabric is sitting way too high, and is super tight on the fullest part of the breast (which sits lower, because it's heavier!). I feel the same about using teeny spaghetti straps on the larger bust sizes. Why?! visually it doesn't make sense, and it also doesn't give the support necessary

This nothing to wear episode was perfect. Great production and Abisola was awesome - so succinct but insightful! And I mean those clothes 😍

Lucy your content is just amazing lately!! Please do more of these
The audio is a bit funny, the speech volume goes up and down and sometimes it's really hard to hear over the background music o.O

Lucy, I have been looking everywhere for that red bag in the background. Can you please tell me where it’s from?
Love this series, but I would like to see more clothes in these videos. I feel like there was too much talking, too little clothing shown.
Yayyy! Love these videos 💖💖💖

I love abi ❤️🧡
You look so much like selena gomez in that thumbnail🤩
Great video, although it made me seasick. If you have any opportunity to correct it, it would be perfection.
