There is a movement in Germany called "Pegida" (means patriot europeans against the islamisation of the occident) but the countermovement has more than 20 times more supporters - it's partially ridiculous that e.g. in Frankfurt 80 supports of Pegida face 5000 opponents and need to be protected by the police. Apparently when I was little (around 3 years old), my dad used to sing me this song to sleep every night and I couldn't sleep without it because it was my favourite song in the world. I mean, England only beat Sweden and Colombia, teams that were not that good, and lost to Croatia, who also wasn't that good. Croatia subsequently was destroyed by France. England only benefited from having weak opponents. To say it was "nearly so sweet" is absurd. Even if England beat Croatia, it wouldn't have stood a chance against France.

@@gabrielnascimentorm Got further than Spain, Portugal, Holland (didn't even qualify), Germany (didn't even make it out of the group stage), Argentina, and Italy (failed to qualify) so if you wanna talk about us having weak opponents well then we would've played all the teams I've just mentioned but as I said they didn't get as far as us so who we play in the last 16, quarter finals and in the semi finals doesn't matter, those teams still made it further by outperforming the rest so not so "weak" opponents as much are they?

Abengance Woah, slow down looool, it was a great match, but we still need to improve. We still only just came back against a weak Germany side. At full strength they'd have had an easier time against us.
This just proves you have to be at your best to beat us, it shows that we can go toe to toe with the second best, which is an improvement because normally a subpar German team would beat us.
It's progress, but we need to be able to consistently beat Spain and France and Germany etc. to win tournaments. Which is the end game.
