ROBBERY OCCURRED ON HIGHWAY BETWEEN PHERIMA AND MEDZIPHEMA

- A shocking incident of highway robbery has surfaced in Nagaland yet again. It has come to fore that on the night of June 30, a vehicle with five passengers on board was hijacked from the highway between Pherima and Medziphema village. After 7 days since the occurrence of the incident, the police have finally begun an investigation into the robbery case. NLTV on Thursday visited the site where the passengers were held hostage and spoke with the victims regarding the incident. It has been learned that two Bolero hijacked the passengers and took them towards Patkai four lane. The hijackers, who claimed to be from the crime branch, held the victims as hostages for almost four hours. After being released, the victims discovered that two mobile phones, charger, powerbank and a cash of ten thousand were stolen. The victims also discovered that carpets and spare tyres were damaged with a sharp weapon. The investigating officer also informed nltv that due to protocols the investigation was delayed. Meanwhile, head GB of Pherima village expressed dismay over the incident while President of Poumai Hoho Dimapur urged authority and police to initiate strict action against those involved.

we have highway police. At night they are visible. I was on a bike with big packing back and sack (vegetables) and they followed me. I slowed down, stopped and waved. They waved back and turned back. lol.
Why Nagaland post did not respond to phone call as stated by the speaker..
This crime branch even hanging out around new market dimapur, 2 guy even stop me in dimapur new market area and told me to give show my driving licence and vehicle documents saying they are from crime branch dimapur and they left me.
Pherima village are really good. They always do the hardest work during road accident. They have safe many life. Government should provide them equipment too for emergency.

I saw a guy on Facebook posting abt his cars Day time robbery its been months ago saying tat some special crime branch came and ask them abt his car documents after tat thy ask him fine something like tat so dimapur police shud take action against them Or if anyone come to tis situation directly call police and public

There a check gate near entering to dimapur from kohima so my opinion is that there should be a cctv install on Avery check post so that we can catch the culprits as fast as possible
All inter district check gates are closed. There is no more check gate there in pakala pahar. There are check gates only in the interstate borders now

According to me, those people are from some NSCN Crime branch, they might have received information about something but they meet the wrong car. I think they should apologize for the incident.

(The Poumai hoho should have escorted the victims to Police Station that same day. The Police should have dispatched a personnel to the spot and help the victims with relevant information. Still, glad that the matter is picking steam.🔥🔥🔥).
Nagaland police should pass an information sheet to all incoming vehicles at Khuzama gate. Except for hit and run and police chase, drivers should be informed not to stop for any highway intervention except where appropriate gates are set up by Police. And if similar gangster pursue their car call the hotline immediately ( number provided at Khuzama gate).

We hear lots of stories of people roaming around claiming to be crime branch.. hello nagaland police what r u doing.. please nab the culprit and also public should be aware of these kinda frauds. If crime branch they should produce identification before investigating

A humble suggestion to NLTV. Please let all the anchors practice their presentation everyday prior to their appearance on screen. Too many words fitting and poor passive voice.
Train them the presentations for different situations. If not, monotonous strategy for entire situations leads to incompatibility.
