All the while, this poor guy is in a hospital room with a broken face because his father hit him so hard it broke his cheek. Still, he submitted to every test and gave his statement to the police. Because proving something is a lot easier that proving something ISN'T, and the girl was smart enough not to ever admit she was lying (to my knowledge, anyway), nothing ever really resolved. The only thing I can say conclusively is that no criminal charges were ever filed against him. And unlike in fiction, most of the time real life doesn't ever really give you closure. The only time an apology is worth anything is when someone offers it and they had no intention to harm you. But when a person says something or makes a conscious decision and does something that harms you or your family or your relationship with them. That is unforgivable. When someone make s decision too make you a victim. That is a line that cannot be uncrossed. That person has revealed their true self and it is important to cut those people out of your life. Because they will do it again, and that will be your own fault for allowing them in your life.
People said the opposite of love was not hate, but indifference. What they did cut so deep every love OP had for them bleeding out with little to none left.
Yep. These idiots murdered OP emotionally. The sperm/egg donors shouldn't bother OP anymore since they destroyed the boy they had and he isn't coming back.
When my sibling informed me that my mother had passed I felt nothing that I would not have felt after hearing about the passing of a random stranger with the exception of a sense of relief. If that makes me a bad person I am okay with that as you have no idea what I lived through growing up. In my 60s and struggling with the emotional damage.
OP should have told his mom how much she failed as a mother and should have stopped wasting her time asking for forgiveness as it was never going to happen
So many women pull this bull shit to get rid of a child. The thing is , no Proff, not police. And they usually imploded. A woman like this is so dangerous to any child , even her own.
I can really appreciate OP for not going back to those who basically stabbed him in the back and just taking the step mothers word at face value. Knowing that his parents are probably stewing in regret for their actions. That's punishment right there. Good on OP for building a life and coming out on top!
I’m just going to say this: if you can’t rewrite the past trauma that you put me through, then don’t even bother reaching out to make amends. Situations like these should have never happened in the first place. But since they did, what’s done is done. There will never be any room for forgiveness or anything like it because those painful memories will stay with you no matter how much you “move on”
They disowned him. According to them he wasn’t their son and if he isn’t their son he has no obligation to visit strangers in the hospital. “Stay where you belong, in my memories.” -Cloud Strife
He moved to another country, established a clean slate, got a home, a new job, started dating and got married, but didn't gain any purpose in life until he became a father! Either it's allegorical, or embellished by someone devoid of life experiences!
And time. The sperm/egg donors wasted so much time to reach out. So even though they're sorry and want to make things right, they're so late and everyone has their limits.
Man, stories like these whether they're real or fake always get me. It reminds me that even as a parent, an adult with many years of knowledge and experience, we can still screw up and destroy our kids lives. That mother is going to live the rest of her days knowing that her only son has a family, that she will never even meet. She has a grandchildren who she will never even see. She was lost before, but reading that letter most likely destroyed her. At the very least, always get the other side of the story, no matter how dire the circumstances may be.
100% man. If people just did a little investigating and learn to make careful judgment. That woman knows she deserves this. Her self-righteousness got her here.
I hope OP changed his last name. They wanted you to die alone - let them die alone. Attend the funeral? To whiz on the grave? They were only sorry after you were exonerated. You had always been innocent. They had always been wrong and hateful.
Yeah they are sooooooo sorry now that the truth came out. However if the truth didn't come out they'd still think OP was some abuser. What failures as parents. What I dont understand is why the mother believed it.?
People make all kinds of decisions with misinformation or a lack of information. I am surprised that his bio mom sided with stepmom though, but then again I heard a story where a guy's mom dated and hooked up with her son's high-school bully, and even chose the bully over her son, so........I guess it's probable that there's a woman out there that would chose the stepmom over her own son loke this.
I have seen Moms do the complete opposite down to the point of yelling that their children aren't guilty after having a bunch of proof of the child killing an old woman while she begged for help and then when in custody, escaping by stealing a gun from a detective who was interrogating them, shooting said detective till they died, and then jumping put a window.
While not supporting, I can understand why dad cut off his son against his wife, but why mom chooses to believe her too and cut op off? Yondu says it best "he may be your father, boy.. But he ain't your daddy"
I don't get how people say to forgive those who have wronged you is for yourself but then those who have done wrong only ask for it for themselves, not to have learned from it but not to get to suffer the consequence of their actions and pretend everything is fine again?
We'll never truly know because we aren't evil like them. My parents do this to me all the time and it enrages me. Whenever my mom says I'm being resentful, I shoot back, "you and dad aren't even trying to fix yourself! So why should I keep forgiving you!?" We're also Christian and my parents take Bible verses out of context to brainwash us to forgive them. But I remind them that I am a human being. I can't be loving as God. And stop taking verses to reinterpret because you're making Christianity look bad!
A simple response. "Dear (Father's Fullname & Mother's Fullname), Thank you for mentioning that you now know the truth. However, let me make things crystal clear. There is nothing for you here. Please move on and live the rest of your lives with this. -- your former Child"
Let's all agree that we can't change or tell how anyone should Feel. Whatever they feel, it's a Life Experience that made them who they are. Like the Phrase how Heroes/Villains are Made, not Born. It just takes 1 Bad Day to ruin all of it, creating someone whose work so far to forget about their past.
This is why you ALWAYS take rape accusations with a grain of salt. If even a tiny discrepancy in a rape accusation is found, it should be automatically null and void in the eyes of the law and the accuser permanently shunned from society.
I hear you. Must SA survivors have their minds broken and they behave differently. But from I hear about false accusers is they still act the same. Such as being confident and upbeat. People forget about checking the psychological signs.
You nee family is all you ever need. Leave these people who claim relation behind you. They did the worst think that can happen to any child, requarekes if wgat age.
It's amazing when family and friends will believe a stranger's word over someone they've known for years. The fact the dad didn't see the red flag after she told him to change the will showed how far gone he was. But the biological mom believing the stepmom is something I wouldn't see coming.
Sometimes i wonder as a final fu to them these people(Accusers) say you believed me a stranger over your own flesh and blood who's the real monster here? basically to thrust a knife in and twist......honestly tough call.
So his mother rased him sence his life started and couldnt help but to know him better than that. His dad same thing, plus he knew how she regarded his kid. Neither parent where anything but a relative that wanted an excuse to become a estranged relative. They aint family f um.
I’m all right with everything this person did for the most part. I really wish she talked to his father, but if he wasn’t going to talk to your father, you probably shouldn’t not took the money. I understand how crazy that might’ve been, but you set the tone for what was to come next you made it clear. You didn’t really need nobody I guess to some degree. I understand that you took it because it was the last attempt at your father, trying to be a father, but I just feel you would have been so much more at peace. Had you had just seen your father on his deathbed I just sometimes wonder how would your kids feel at some point in life, knowing that you had a chance to say goodbye at the very least not to just forgive you didn’t have to forgive but to give some end to a horrible situation of someone who did nothing but manipulate and lie I understand you’re not forgiving because at the very least you are right where was the detective work on what she said just believing in somebody with no proof yeah that’s crazy. I’ll give you that.
If OP was so hurt that he could not see his Dad in his death bed, he should have left the inheritance as well. It's looks like OP was wronged but also lacked morals at his end.😂
This story is just weird. Was ops parents married? Why did mom talk about losing the marriage when there was a step-mom in the picture. How did step-mom get in moms mind when she hated op because of his connection to her
Those people that told him to forgive the parents are the same toxic people that would rather condone a Younger brother that slept with the older brothers GF and says to the older brother to forgive him because they are family.
@@Otis56 How does that work? Forgiveness doesn't automatically let someone back in your life if you dont want them to be. You forgive them so You can let go of those burdens and finally move on, so they can stop living rent free in your mind while they live their lives without a care. None of it is for them.
Forgiveness is never to the other party, but to oneself, you can forgive the one that wronged you but that doesn't mean you'll need to keep them in your life or even knew that you've forgiven them it is for you and to live free of them
Im guessing this is not a real reddit post. The facr that there was never an attempt to file a police report and the adults where fine with that is what makes me think this is not a real post.
This story is a rewrite of an AI story from another channel. Nearly everything is the same except in the original the mother had passed away when OP was young, so obviously there was no letter or anything. In the original, the two kids of the step mom were slightly more present.
Anyone know what happened to the stepmom after the truth came out? Mine think that the stepmom have been exile after being divorced by the mc's dad after he discovered the truth and her affair.
Come on, AI, really? "The uncertain future/IDK what the future holds", "Over the moon", constant repetition, ending moral of the story and lesson learned. You used to be the best cause you actually just posted things from the source with no BS. What is this?

I'm not going to lie this whole entire story makes no sense and I'm not saying it's not capable of happening to anybody or anything like that but you're telling me the whole entire family you're telling me aunts uncles and the grandparents plus the posters mom on top of that we're willing to just take the word of a random woman they barely know over their own family blood maybe that's just me but unless the family is filled with just literal fucking snakes and two-faced motherfukers then I get it but the fact that there was no reason given like let's say the poster being on bad terms with most of the family constantly getting into arguments with them stuff like that and even his mother maybe being a narcissist maybe I could buy while they turned on them
No I agree with you that's why I said it's not impossible that I can't happen but it's just to me I'm like the whole family plus his mother on top of that is the part that is kind of getting to me because look I hate to put it like this I could maybe understand the poster had some backstory detail where details that the family for some reason has just never liked him or gotten along with him and there was already dealing with his mom not being one of the best parents in his life so far besides baby his dad but I just can't get behind the whole entire family plus like I said the Mom it's just like why two-faced people out there and you know terrible family members
It makes even less sense that step mom and regular mom were both involved yet the parents were supposedly divorce yet the very end mom said she was contemplating the end of her marriage. So that assumes dad and mom were married at the time step-mom married dad and added 2 kids
All I can say is that its possible for narcissism to be passed down to descendents. They were all raised in environments which made them narcissists, something which becomes more probable as nor eof them become narcissistic
The only things OP should have done differently, in my opinion: 1) When his parents tried to reach OP, he answered with silence, because he considered them as part of his past, however this decision didn't gave them closure, and they kept trying to reach him. OP was the last thought of his dying father, and his mother tried multiple times to contact him after father's death, this due to the fact that OP did not emphatised enough the closure with them. When they tried to reach him he should have answered "I appreciate you now realized your mistake, but it's too late. I am no more son of yours, leave me alone. For real". OP claimed that the final letter to his mother gave him closure, so answering both his bio parents would have avoided the following struggle. Leaving the parents in silence did not gave them closure, and they kept trying to reach OP. 2) The father included OP back in his will, and OP wonders if this was a final attempt to catch up. No shit, Sherlock, the father tries to contact OP until his last dying breath, but it's the money that gives it away, isn't it? After refusing to meet at the hospital, to attend the funeral, OP stll accepts the money. To me, it's hypocritical
OP should have given them closure for ruining his life? That's the worst advice I've ever heard and i have seen stories where friends told someone's wife that they should cheat on their husbands because life is more exciting that way.I would like to add its not hypocritical to get compensation for all the trauma OP's Step mother and Biological Parents caused him
Fuck those parents. Where was his chance to explain himself when he was accused? Why should his father get his chance at closure when he never got his chance to explain before getting kicked out the family? His father clearly was thinking more with his dick I'm glad he died not getting the closure he want. Why should he get what he wanted when OP never got it. You call it hypocritical? I say his father was far more hypocritical. In fact, he should get majority of the inheritance after all the shit that useless dog put him through. I'm glad he made the decision to never meet them again. The past is the past and their son died when all of them abandoned him. He has a better future and it's much better for him to look towards it rather than the incompetent creatures that identifies themselves as his "parent". Any parent that chose their new partner/stepwive/husband over their own children due to false allegation deserve 0 sympathy for they have clearly chosen to get rid of them in their life and doesn't deserve them back. He has a better family now and his wife's family probably treat him far better than his own family. Hell, it also saves money and you only have 1 set of grandparents to visit and not needing to care about the other one. His peace is all that matters, not the peace of the people that destroyed his life. Forgiveness belongs to him and him alone and no one else can tell him otherwise especially the perpetrators.
I'm questioning the validity of this story. How old was OP when he was accused? OP made it seem like he was still a minor, yet when he was kicked out, wouldn't that be illegal? (Depending on the country) Plus what about OP's mother made her believe Stepmom? A little history about why the parents split up would be helpful, because how would the mom know about the SA? If the Stepmom was an affair partner, why would the mom believe her? If she hated the Ex, why would she listen to him as well? Context helps. Also if OP wasn't a minor then why was he living with his dad? Wouldn't he be living with his mom if Stepmom was showing signs of not liking him? Was there even a custody arrangement if he was a minor? Plus im pretty sure the cops would have gotten involved by someone, as if SA is so big someone would have reported him. In most SA stories the cops are called. This has a lot of questionable variables....also this story seems to follow the same trend that a lot of similar stories does. Op gets accused, have to leave, meets someone starts a new life, the truth comes out and people begs for forgiveness. A family member gets sick and wants to see OP on his deathbed, and OP refusing to see them.
Question is... why do they have your phone number/socials in the fist place after you have moved to another country? A phone number is not that easy to find, just change number and move on, no need to engage in this bullsht.
The op chose his choice and is completely in the right, but in my honest opinion he should have sat down and have a conversation with his parents. Just like how they didnt give him the chance to explain his part of the story he didn't give them that chance either. It was deserved and poetic but its just that when the didn't give him that chance and abandoned him, they had to live with crushing guilt, regret and remorse along with the what ifs. Like what if they let him explain, or what if the just took his side or what if they just took ot to court. Just like how they had to live with thise thoughts so would he. What if i went and talked? What if i just told them what they did to me and how it affected me, would we have reconciled? Maybe or maybe not, hell new know because his father died. I just wouldnt want the op to have to live with the thoughts they will always have with them. Maybe its just me and my im weird but i would want to be the better person, better than they ever were and just give them the chance they never gave me even if it was just hear what they were thinking at that point and what lead to them making that horrible decision or just get full closure so that i wouldnt have to live with the thoughts and feelings on mind and chest. Even if not for any of those reasons id just learn from there mistakes and never fuck up as bad as they did with me. Maybe its just me. Maybe I'm just built different🤷♂️.
I get your point, and you're right that a conversation could've brought closure. But not everyone has the strength to give those who hurt them another chance. It's about how we choose to protect ourselves, and everyone handles betrayal differently. You're not weird for wanting to take the high road-just built differently.

He filed a successful restraining order against his parents thanks to his father breaking his face, but then the pandemic hit and I haven't heard from him since.

@@wolfehologram3539Dang. I hope that friend is doing well. And no sympathy for that sperm donor for attacking now and question later.
The only time an apology is worth anything is when someone offers it and they had no intention to harm you.
But when a person says something or makes a conscious decision and does something that harms you or your
family or your relationship with them. That is unforgivable. When someone make s decision too make you a
victim. That is a line that cannot be uncrossed. That person has revealed their true self and it is important
to cut those people out of your life. Because they will do it again, and that will be your own fault for allowing
them in your life.
He kinda did. He made it clear to her to never contact him because she emotionally murdered the son she once knew.
This dudes a badass finally a story about how a real man acts and responds to betrayal
I hope someday I will be like him
I’m just going to say this: if you can’t rewrite the past trauma that you put me through, then don’t even bother reaching out to make amends. Situations like these should have never happened in the first place. But since they did, what’s done is done. There will never be any room for forgiveness or anything like it because those painful memories will stay with you no matter how much you “move on”
Rule of thumb: ALWAYS get both sides of the story before doing anything
They disowned him. According to them he wasn’t their son and if he isn’t their son he has no obligation to visit strangers in the hospital.

I’m surprised OP’s dad didn’t stop to think on why she was so adamant for him to remove his son from the will and have her and her kids on the will
I've been in a similar situation, I told my family that somethings can never be undone, no matter the age or why.

Is he still alive? What's the deal?
He moved to another country, established a clean slate, got a home, a new job, started dating and got married, but didn't gain any purpose in life until he became a father! Either it's allegorical, or embellished by someone devoid of life experiences!
Why is there so many repeative words surrounding 'Jessica and my son are my family...'
because AI
Chat GPT wrote this mess of a story.
Apologies are only words, actions speak louder and OP's parents did not have faith in their child.
And time. The sperm/egg donors wasted so much time to reach out. So even though they're sorry and want to make things right, they're so late and everyone has their limits.
Finally some happy ending and not the typical doormat stories

Or self-righteousness. People want to see themselves on the right side without doing the required work.
Never for forgive people who betray you. They show they're loyalties are not with you.
Well done survivor! May happiness surround you and yours.
So why should I keep forgiving you!?"
We're also Christian and my parents take Bible verses out of context to brainwash us to forgive them. But I remind them that I am a human being. I can't be loving as God. And stop taking verses to reinterpret because you're making Christianity look bad!
Those who preach that we should forgive are also those constantly asking for forgiveness to escape consequences.
@Scymet Right.

It's amazing when family and friends will believe a stranger's word over someone they've known for years. The fact the dad didn't see the red flag after she told him to change the will showed how far gone he was. But the biological mom believing the stepmom is something I wouldn't see coming.

It's looks like OP was wronged but also lacked morals at his end.😂
as much as I agree, OP might prbly use it for the kids andfor the good of their family
It's really sad that the mom, of all people, would believe the woman who replaced her. It's actually, in fact, odd that she does.
In the original AI story this one is copying the mother had passed away when OP was young.
This is one of the best AI stories on here.
OP is with a great woman, has a son that he won't hurt and is away from his egg/sperm donor. It seems to have a good ending.

I'm not going to lie this whole entire story makes no sense and I'm not saying it's not capable of happening to anybody or anything like that but you're telling me the whole entire family you're telling me aunts uncles and the grandparents plus the posters mom on top of that we're willing to just take the word of a random woman they barely know over their own family blood maybe that's just me but unless the family is filled with just literal fucking snakes and two-faced motherfukers then I get it but the fact that there was no reason given like let's say the poster being on bad terms with most of the family constantly getting into arguments with them stuff like that and even his mother maybe being a narcissist maybe I could buy while they turned on them
It does happen. And narcissists never make sense. My family members are similar. The way they justified bad things makes me lose my sanity.

The only things OP should have done differently, in my opinion:
1) When his parents tried to reach OP, he answered with silence, because he considered them as part of his past, however this decision didn't gave them closure, and they kept trying to reach him.
@@Otis56 I think he meant a closure so the thought of his past dosent live in his head rentfree
whats with the loud background music ? good story but background noise spoils it
I'm questioning the validity of this story.
All in all i just hope the op wont regret his choice and just live his life happily woth his family, God knows he deserves a happy ever after
I get your point, and you're right that a conversation could've brought closure. But not everyone has the strength to give those who hurt them another chance. It's about how we choose to protect ourselves, and everyone handles betrayal differently. You're not weird for wanting to take the high road-just built differently.
