Lea A side note. The ticks here in New England all test positive for Lyme Disease. All ticks here in the states carry various other diseases. The important thing is to buy SAWYER PERMETHRIN spray and spray your clothing and let it dry. It's the only thing that works and will last months on your clothing. I do a lot of metal detecting as a hobby and watch clouds of ticks die before the get to my knees! I lost 4 dogs to Lyme disease and I've had it twice. This stuff works great on all your outdoor gear like tents, sleeping bags and furniture. It kills all types of other insects as well. Peace! 🙂

Fond memory's. I spent 6 months in Germany in 2014 visiting my daughter and the thing I will remember the most was my daughter buying a brand new BMW in Amberg (if memory serves me right) and me getting to drive it to Zurich and a week later to Prague. We also went to October fest (I know it's spelt different there) and going to Berlin and putting my name on the Berlin wall. I am from California and at my age at the time never thought I would be flying around on the autobahn in a brand new BMW. At the time my daughter lived in a small town named Vilseck in Germany.

I lived in New Mexico for 25 years and many of those years were mega drought. I live in the Northwest now, but have friends and family in the Southwest and they are again in a mega drought. Here in the Northwest the rainy seasons are getting drier, the dry season longer and hotter and fire season longer and more destructive. I will ALWAYS choose rain and cooler. Rain and snow are absolutely essential for life even though they can cause their own disasters.

Living in Murten near the Jura Mountains, I can say that this region is the best for motor biking in Switzerland. I do not miss the Alps with enourmous traffic. I love the small roads in the Jura and the beautiful river doubs. Enjoy your journey 👍

I never plan my routes beforehand and navigate very spontaneous, that’s why I have no proper gps routes. But I am thinking about putting the routes of my longer trips like Norway together in a travel guide…

Food selection in France looks to be more appetizing than the states. When I visited France years ago, French bakeries in general are another level.
