what is the reason for high vibration on gearbox Philadelphia setup gearbox . compressor tripped on high vibration . we have changed the 4 bearings of gearbox but still the vibration exists. it has diaphragm coupling with a rpm 12000.
You should go step by step. 1)Check alignment (soft footing too). 2) If problem exists too, go for "spectrum analysis". It will tell you everything. 3) If you want to skip step 2, than check rotor centering. 4) It could be a process issue also.
