i havent played D2 since launch. ive recently returned and unfortunately heard of the DCV and the whole.. cycling content.. but has Leviathan come back at all?
It has Come back as a sort of patrol kind of thing, It's mostly used for farming Opulent weapons now, But you still can basically explore the leviathan again.

I entered this raid blind on New Light with 3 friends, took me about 50 minutes just to do the first bit with the flags that can get stolen, was so happy when we finished it, little did we know..
Same story here! Went in as a group of 4 thinking it would be easy as it was "Recommended Power 750" and we were well above that. Didn't manage. Decided to get in a fifth random player, didn´t manage. Decided finally to get a sixth random player, and only then after a bunch of tries did we manage to get the gate open towards the gardens. The infighting put an end to our raid attempt lmao.
Love this, just one tip. *DO NOT* kill the war beasts in round 1 if you're a team thats unfamiliar. The more that die, the more reckless they become. What you want to to do is weaken them to the point they're nearly dead. Ideally by the 3rd chance you'll be able to kill them all at the same time. From experience the more dogs you kill, the less time you have so be careful.
Jabber Walkie never had a chance to try it to be honest. Never had a competent enough raid team (it was thrown together in lfg) so i used the method i stated to get them past it, but yeah you're right.
This is what we did too. We managed to get a 48 stack and we each had a beast that we were responsible for and we had no problem getting them all down to less than one bar left after the first one.
I am really confused right now lol. You guys are saying that the dogs get more reckless when they die and kackis said that every round they get more reckless, which one?! If they get more reckless when they die, then a team should be just weakening them all to below one bar. And if they get more reckless every round u just need to get the 48 and kill as many as possible. As u see these are very different ways of doing this stage...
I dont play D2 anymore, but this raid was one of the most memorable raids i've done in aby video game. Back then D2 went through a period of funny nicknames, mine was 2 calus 1 cup
*Steps for Entrance:* Split into defense and attack teams. Defense team: Defend the flags from the Cabal. Don't let the liberator get near the flag, go punch the councillor as soon as they spawn. Strike team: Find a flag, kill all the Cabal and a Bearer will spawn. Kill it and take its flag, then go to the next flag and repeat. *Steps for Baths:* There's two plates on each side and a buff called "psionic protection" which holds back a DoT effect. The protection runs out at about 1 per second, and you'll take damage until you die when it's fully gone, but you can refresh it in the middle. Split into 2 teams of 3 and put both teams on different sides. Person one and two stand on a plate while the third waits to be called upon. When person one's protection buff gets to about 20, they leave their plate to refresh their buff, and are immediately replaced by the third person, who didn't have a plate, to stop the plate losing progress. Person one refreshes his buff, and immediately goes to replace person two, who's probably pretty low by now. Repeat as much as necessary, killing ads along the way, until the plates are finished. You'll hear a "ding" effect and the chains still stop moving when this happens. Now everybody goes to the middle and stands on the plate, which gives the "strength of will" buff. This buff allows you to damage the purple canisters hanging from the ceiling, and destroying all 12 completes the encounter.
Jesus, I haven't played the game but the difficulty spike between the base game and this is like having a Water fight to having to perform Nuclear Fusion.. while on fire in 2 minutes with a Stick and a rock

its official the sweeper bot was angry at his job of sweeping so in revenge he told the cabal how to shut down the satellites causing the sneak attack at the beginning of the game that took down the last city that is the background lore for destiny 2
Such a shame too... I never really got invested in D2 so I never completed most of the vaulted content. I got back into it about 2 weeks ago and I'm realizing that I missed a lot of cool stuff just because I didn't know it wouldn't be there for much longer. I understand the reasons behind it but I really hate it when developers vault things and make things limited time (screw the season system). Same thing happened with D1. I never even got to do Trials of Osiris because I didn't think they'd remove it. So much for all of that gear.
I've only just started playing Destiny 2 properly a couple of days back. Started this raid last night, wish I had seen this prior. 2 hours in and still not done. We've done bath house, and the one with dogs and Crystals. Going to continue our checkpoint tonight. We're at the one with platforms and arrows where people have to carry orbs or something and shoot the arrows. It's been so fun. At no point during the two hours have we been bored or frustrated. Watching this Is helping me understand so much better.

People say these guides are too long, I find them extremely helpful. Other guides just tell you the mechanics immediately and you have no idea what is happening. This guide actually explains strategies on how to beat the different encounters and how to actually beat the raid.
Ahh, such good memories - Autumn / fall 2017, and the magnificent leviathan is with us! Best raid ever! Loved the lore, the look, the opulent feel to the whole thing- and the ending is awesome!!
Not even joking when I haven't done a raid in a while I literally watch these videos as a refresher. The problem nowadays is no one plays with people who don't know how to do the raids therefore your videos are the only way really to learn the raids.
At the very beginning of the raid there is a way to get into the bowels of the ship. When you spawn there is a room to the right, pull all 6 levers and it opens a room under the main bridge. Pull those levers in a sequence and it opens up the area you see at around 26:00 ( where the canals with the pipes are ) this will allow you to use your keys on the chests without having to beat each section.
This popped up on my reccomended, this was my first raid and this video was PERFECT and helped me and my friends a bunch. Great memories and great videos. Thank you💯

I played every raid in destiny and always had fun. I watched 16 min of this raid, after seeing all the mechanics just in that time. I'm pretty confident I will not be wasting time in this one good vid though
Totally agree..... VoG is by far one of the most popular raids within Destiny for it's simpler mechanisms.....even with the other raids, people have said they don't like the raids so mechanically sweaty, it was a strongly shared opinion, yet Bungie topped it off with this raid..... I really hope the first DLC brings an arena mode like Prison of Elders instead of a raid. I think Bungie forgets that Destiny is a FPS....
Pleasure Gardens - Our raid team decided to assign a war beast to each person. we did about 1/2 to 3/4 damage to each war beast in the first go round and kill them off in the second phase. We struggled after killing one or two because they become enraged faster when there are fewer war beasts on the map. just a thought for you out there that aren't able to get to the spores fast enough.
Coming from an Overwatch player that newly bought Destiny 2: Forsaken with Annual Pass, I thought Competitive Overwatch was toxic but I haven’t seen this lmao.
I used to play overwatch in a Korean server since it has the best ping for me, 120+ up to 200. The only time the overwatch competitive became toxic is just once, not just spammed me for getting tilted mid game BUT also became racist against my nationality. The only thing that made me quit that game is boredom while the pink mercy breast cancer awareness event is running.

If the Destiny community wasn't such a steaming pile of ass this raid wouldn't be so bad. LFG is a complete disaster zone, there's no one willing to help at all. Everyone is so quick to blame the guy next to them... horrible experiences trying to run this raid (with LFG). Running with a good team is fun. I remember running the vault of glass, people were totally willing to Sherpa in LFG. I Sherpa'd tons of people through, I loved helping someone get a Fatebringer/Atheons Epilogue etc. NO ONE does that anymore with this raid. Every post is NEED RAID DONE FAST. NO PEOPLE UNDER 330. IF YOU SUCK YOU'LL BE KICKED. KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO. How is anyone supposed to learn?

The whole thing is such a fucking mess, bungie really doesnt deserve the cash people put out for it. I had no idea what the raid was until this video but im putting the game down because i cant even fathom why they thought in a million years this could be anything even close to a good idea. Why make the rest of the game so easy just to gimmic the shit out of the end game content under the guise of making things "challenging"
All I'm hearing about this raid is, "Don't do this or you all die." "Do this and you all die." "Kill this one or you all die" "Stand here or you all die." "Go there or you all die." "Sometimes you all just die for no reason..." Welp... Fuck this raid...
You say it in a funny way, but it's so true. I like Destiny, but they really didn't do a great job allowing viable alternative strategies. Do you enjoy sniping things from a distance and high mobility and smart positioning? Well fuck you, you'll stand on this plate killing the stuff that spawns right in your face, and you won't move until your teammate comes to relieve you of your duties. Then you'll hurry your ass back and stand there again.
Mr. 603 it really just seems like "my way or the highway" style of level design. I prefer it when games give me freedom to finish a level how I want, not do a specific set of actions or I lose.
worst part is this is the first raid in destiny existence where failing to revive someone = wipe. not because u needed the dead players, but because it wipes you if someone doesnt get revived in 20 seconds.
The last phase has a part where 3 people need to shoot psions and pretty much every little thing gets them killed. Its really annoying. What i dont like about this raid is the fact that its so picky with everything. I mean There is so little fighint on it. 80% of the raid is basically little details killing you. Not actual enemies. Feels weird.
I just started D2 but I played D1 quite a bit. My friend who’s played D2 for a while tried to explain this to me but it’s pretty complex. I’m yet to attempt this but I think the video has definately helped. Cheers mate

@@MrLolliam Bungie isn't really the type of gaming company to tell you : "This is how you defeat the raid boss and instantly beat the game and also here now you can do a very good skill instantly and you just started." They're more of the gaming company to tell you : "We don't wanna make you mad, but, we don't make tutorials, are mechanics are easy to understand, raids... Not really to easy to understand, but it's still fun." I like that about Bungie :)
My edit for dogs is to simply memorize the spawn pattern of the flowers and wipe until you get a good spawn. With x48 stacks my team (of just 270-275 power) was able to kill ALL 6 dogs in one damage phase. To do this assign each member a dog and after x48 is reached, SNEAK to each dogs howling place, because they all run to the same place to howl, and everyone unloads grenades(use AoE ones) supers and power weapons. (Best power weapon by far for this are swords with the mod that increasea damage with successive strikes. Otherwise merciless is the best) Do this, and you can one cycle all 6 dogs

@@MrMrRubic I tried only 1 raid with a clan I'm with and thought that would be cool because I was running with the owners and they said they would teach me. Puff... explanations were totally messed up, they just wanted to boss me and got pissed every time I said I didn't get it or died. I hate these kinda "pro players" thing.
You probably know now since its been 2 years but, When a new raid releases there is like a contest to see who finishes it first and those teams figure it out for the rest of us. Also if u ever go into a raid blind you figure things out surprisingly easily, just alot of trial and error/ observation of surroundings, buffs, debuffs, and shit like that.
I personally love the raid, though my whole group hates it. We are currently on the last boss and after dying to multiple glitches and other bullsh*t decided to do it tomorrow. Got him down to 1/5th before wiping :/
TheDestroyerOfWorldss AndOtherVariousThings kings fall is the best for me because i actually gave a fuck for what i was doing, i knew who oryx was, i knew what he had done, and i had motives to want to explode him, not just a giant praetorian, i'm not saying that VoG isn't fun or interesting lore wise, fuck no, for me it is the 2nd best, but for me kings fall has much more of an epic scale, through its mechanics, bosses (mainly oryx, obviously) and the lore, that made me care at what I was doing
I know it's more of a mindset but it doesn't matter though. The game caps your power just a little above the recommended one, so even if you're power 670, the game will treat you as a 300ish light player when you're there.

Nathan M best strategy is to get 36x and everyone kill one dog solo.

It has one mistake in it at 28:09 he says you need to duck behind cover. However you can't actually dodge incoming projectiles this way.

Not even joking when I haven't done a raid in a while I literally watch these videos as a refresher. The problem nowadays is no one plays with people who don't know how to do the raids therefore your videos are the only way really to learn the raids.
At the very beginning of the raid there is a way to get into the bowels of the ship. When you spawn there is a room to the right, pull all 6 levers and it opens a room under the main bridge. Pull those levers in a sequence and it opens up the area you see at around 26:00 ( where the canals with the pipes are ) this will allow you to use your keys on the chests without having to beat each section.

I played every raid in destiny and always had fun. I watched 16 min of this raid, after seeing all the mechanics just in that time. I'm pretty confident I will not be wasting time in this one good vid though

Totally agree..... VoG is by far one of the most popular raids within Destiny for it's simpler mechanisms.....even with the other raids, people have said they don't like the raids so mechanically sweaty, it was a strongly shared opinion, yet Bungie topped it off with this raid..... I really hope the first DLC brings an arena mode like Prison of Elders instead of a raid. I think Bungie forgets that Destiny is a FPS....
Pleasure Gardens - Our raid team decided to assign a war beast to each person. we did about 1/2 to 3/4 damage to each war beast in the first go round and kill them off in the second phase. We struggled after killing one or two because they become enraged faster when there are fewer war beasts on the map. just a thought for you out there that aren't able to get to the spores fast enough.

I used to play overwatch in a Korean server since it has the best ping for me, 120+ up to 200. The only time the overwatch competitive became toxic is just once, not just spammed me for getting tilted mid game BUT also became racist against my nationality. The only thing that made me quit that game is boredom while the pink mercy breast cancer awareness event is running.
Destiny is rarely toxic, overwatch is like a fucking nuclear plant

LFG is a complete disaster zone, there's no one willing to help at all. Everyone is so quick to blame the guy next to them... horrible experiences trying to run this raid (with LFG).
Running with a good team is fun.
I remember running the vault of glass, people were totally willing to Sherpa in LFG. I Sherpa'd tons of people through, I loved helping someone get a Fatebringer/Atheons Epilogue etc. NO ONE does that anymore with this raid.

The whole thing is such a fucking mess, bungie really doesnt deserve the cash people put out for it. I had no idea what the raid was until this video but im putting the game down because i cant even fathom why they thought in a million years this could be anything even close to a good idea. Why make the rest of the game so easy just to gimmic the shit out of the end game content under the guise of making things "challenging"

You say it in a funny way, but it's so true. I like Destiny, but they really didn't do a great job allowing viable alternative strategies. Do you enjoy sniping things from a distance and high mobility and smart positioning? Well fuck you, you'll stand on this plate killing the stuff that spawns right in your face, and you won't move until your teammate comes to relieve you of your duties. Then you'll hurry your ass back and stand there again.
Mr. 603 it really just seems like "my way or the highway" style of level design. I prefer it when games give me freedom to finish a level how I want, not do a specific set of actions or I lose.
worst part is this is the first raid in destiny existence where failing to revive someone = wipe. not because u needed the dead players, but because it wipes you if someone doesnt get revived in 20 seconds.
The last phase has a part where 3 people need to shoot psions and pretty much every little thing gets them killed. Its really annoying. What i dont like about this raid is the fact that its so picky with everything. I mean There is so little fighint on it. 80% of the raid is basically little details killing you. Not actual enemies. Feels weird.

This video was SOOOOO helpful, I did the leviathan raid for the first time and this video guided me through it.
My edit for dogs is to simply memorize the spawn pattern of the flowers and wipe until you get a good spawn. With x48 stacks my team (of just 270-275 power) was able to kill ALL 6 dogs in one damage phase.
To do this assign each member a dog and after x48 is reached, SNEAK to each dogs howling place, because they all run to the same place to howl, and everyone unloads grenades(use AoE ones) supers and power weapons. (Best power weapon by far for this are swords with the mod that increasea damage with successive strikes. Otherwise merciless is the best)
Do this, and you can one cycle all 6 dogs
The boss fight seems the most simple honestly

You probably know now since its been 2 years but, When a new raid releases there is like a contest to see who finishes it first and those teams figure it out for the rest of us. Also if u ever go into a raid blind you figure things out surprisingly easily, just alot of trial and error/ observation of surroundings, buffs, debuffs, and shit like that.

i literally did this raid for my first time and when i was at the boss 4 people left and i had to go too
I personally love the raid, though my whole group hates it. We are currently on the last boss and after dying to multiple glitches and other bullsh*t decided to do it tomorrow. Got him down to 1/5th before wiping :/

This raid may not be as epic as king's fall, but by far it is the most beautiful
kings fall was shitty as fuck. vault of glass was the only good raid.
Kings fall was more challenging than VoG but VoG was way more fun

I know it's more of a mindset but it doesn't matter though. The game caps your power just a little above the recommended one, so even if you're power 670, the game will treat you as a 300ish light player when you're there.
