KackisHD My raid group and I managed to one phase Calus by using the risk runner and arc grenade self harm in the skull room. The grenade activates the perk and allows us to continuously shoot the skulls without ever having to reload. Without the use of a warlock we were able to consistently get above 90 skulls with 3 people. It's fun strategy and hope you'll give it a try.
KackisHD imo cold-heart is not necessary since u have the titans shield which reloades your weapon then i believe with an autorifle or an SMG your fine. Personally about weapons i have for primary the vigilance wings - mida multy tool and sweet business about energy weapons I've cold heart and another one that fires burst (can't remember the name but you can get it from the campaign) and about heavy i have merciless and the rocket launcher that xur sells right now. Most likely I'm doing it tomorrow and it's my first raid cause i hadn't a full team in d1

I am pretty sure, people have the brains to know he means a one minute, in the damage phase, Calus kill, because there's no way to significantly reduce the time to get the damage phase.
I don't think him giving extra details is a bad thing honestly working with people to do the raid is stressful. Right now they're saying he talks to much but nooooo when it comes to the actual raid they need to be explained how to fucking shoot I've done all the raids and guided people thru and this man has helped me when I came on a tight spot and even with him explaining the people I would be running thru would want more explanation so he's helping you and essentially making it easier for all of us by adding these details.

For everyone who wants a even quicker summery of this vid to keep in notes I made a copy to pull out in the raid and describe to ppl what they need to do so you don’t need to remember all of it 1 round calcus Loud out 1 - 450 rounds per minute primary orgin story is recommend) - Cold heart as secondary - a rocket launcher with cluster bombs Load out 2 - Same 450 round per minute primary - Energy weapon can be anything - merciless as power What you need to do - To get calus in 1 run you need 2 ppl to take the portals and leave 4 behind in the wall section. Proceed with the regular procedure but in the end of the wall section it is VERY IMPORTANT to get 90 or more skulls. The load out is important because you need to use the rocket launcher for the main section you need the and cold heart as a back up than. Than classes come in, a titan and a warlock with with a empowering rally combo will be placed down to get more dps than the hunters will use golden gun and celestial night hawk. Helpful tips - To help get skulls you need a warlock who is using arch then have empowering rift with arch soul they will help destroy skulls - Use rally barcade on titan to provide ammo reload - Use cold heart on skulls, its the mist efficient way to take out the skulls. - Do NOT forget about grenades, pulse grenades do a ton of damage so use those as much as possible - With cold heart try to get as many critical hits as possible Rules - Nobody can step on the damage faze pad until every member of the fireteam it there or else we all lose. - If calus aims his gun at you that's gonna do an aoe attack so hop off the plate and get to the next one even in the last faze when he has no health left I assure you you WILL die so don't stay on hope of asap - During caluses animation he becomes immune to all damage so watch out and make sure you DONT waist ammo but also STAY ON THE PLATE if you hop off you can memes up the damage faze Thank you kackisHD for this
We tried with 45 skulls, a bottom tier Golden Gun Hunter with Celestial Nighthawk gave around 7lakh damage, We had 4 Hunters so = 28 lakhs damage, so it almost killed the calus in one shot

This is not true. Idk about the raid rocket, but the linear fusion from asher does more dps than merciless does. With ~60 skulls merciless does 158,000 a linear fusion rifle does 215,000.
As a titan (and since you've already done this once, and there is a video from Datto that covers it) running Sweet business in your kinetic slot with an auto in your energy slot (cluster rocket launcher in the power slot) and having Actium War Rig on has the same if not higher damage potential as Coldheart. And to run some numbers... Coldheart has a mag size of 101 and RPM of 1000 meaning it can be fired for a whole 10.1 seconds. Sweet Business has a mag size of 99 and an initial fire rate of 360 which ramps up to 900 fairly fast and will take about 11 seconds to throw out all 99 rounds. However since Actium War Rig (which only effects auto rifles (which sweet business is but coldheart isn't)) reloads 10% (rounded) of the mag per second and Sweet Business fires (at full speed) 15 Rounds per Second, we lose a net of 5 rounds per second from the mag. This gives us 300 rounds per minute loss from the mag which gives us about 33 seconds of uninterrupted fire until you HAVE to reload. But for fun, if coldheart worked on the Actium War Rig... it would be roughly 28 seconds of uninterrupted fire. Anyways, there's you another option for running the last boss in under a minute (especially if you don't have coldheart or merciless)

Yes it does. Try actually watching it before making comments like this. We go though all the classes and loadouts you need and why, we do a walkthough exact strategy for all roles, even using multiple perspectives. And we then go over a ton of tips to help your success. Why would you want a worse video, just for the sake of being shorter?

What really needs to be asked is what PL should the team be at all 270ish isn't gonna cut it. I'm 290 and think it could be done around that and higher. Detail the lvls of each person you raided w/. Gives a good idea of the kinda dps output that can be expected for those wanting to try this.

Andrew Nguyen honestly i dont either, i think its just because some youtubersll go into a bit more detail than others, for example i saw one of byfs recent videos where he was talking about the bugs like the bug with the raid step of the legend of acrius quest chain being bugged and not dropping the right amount of seals, but the way he was describing it i couldnt tell if he was saying bungies already patched it or if its going to BE patched, so i went around looking at other destiny youtubers who posted about the same thing he did, cause in that video he was also talking about the new clan stuff

I know this is a bit old now but would you recommend the tarantula instead of merciless. It seems to kill it against calus and opens up the exotic so you can keep coldheart.
There's checkpoint for a reason. Either you can't play on weekdays or both weekend and weekday have the same amount of time for you to play, just do part of it and continue later
Got a question. Does the auto rifle have to be 450 rounds per minute specifically, or should it just be at least that fast. I've only beaten Calus once, but I was using the Ghost Primus at the time, which is 600 rpm.
I think it’s just that the 450 currently have the best perks. Origin had killer range and rampage is really nice. The bonus damage from ghost isn’t really significant enough to compensate.
I really appreciate this video! Me and my friends were able to do this method, sadly it took us two of the stages to do it, so a little longer than we were hoping. But the whole method of using the rocket launchers defiantly helped! Thanks!
I am curious on what your opinion about using sweet business instead of coldheart to take out the skulls? Cold heart has a very focused spread that makes aiming directly at the skulls difficult. 4 people using sweet business can get a lot of skulls taken out that might otherwise be missed?
We single phased calus with a 5 hunter one titan raid team. 4 and 2 like with this strat. 4 hunters all have celestial nighthawk the other haas whatever helmet as he needs 3 golden gun shots. all hunters built to generate orbs with precision hits. basically unlimited golden guns into the boss on 80-90 force of will absolutely melts him
At the part where the Psions are spawning in, should you kill 3 of them and leave the last one to prevent further spawning but still getting some power ammo?
Just wanna raise that the "immune" phase he has isn't from changing forms or anything related to damage. Each plate has a timer on how long the "force of will" stacks are available. When this runs out is when he is immune. Same as if you were trying to shoot him whilst not on a plate.

I dont have D2 yet sadly, so please correct me if im wrong here: Wouldnt 4 striker titans (if thats the little wall one) a nova bomb warlock and a stormcaller warlock be the most efficient? 4 titans for the 4 spots youll need the little wall for, the stormcaller for the skulls, and the nova bomb for dps.
ok so quest question, I'm a main warlock (I use dawnblade but I like to use stormcaller arc souls for strikes and stuff, also the rift always up helps) and I am going to be trying the raid for the first time soon (on PC) I am using the eye from another world, for this would you recommend using the Lunafaction Boots as they reload the weapons of people in the rift?
You mention needing 450 RoF kinetic auto rifle but never mention where you would need it? Is that supposed to be a fill in for the Cold Heart if you don't have ammo for it in the big head world? Cause you do replace the Cold Heart with the Merciless in load out B.
Ok so If there s two in rift how do they know the 3rd call out.. I heard you say 'same but what person will know to call same aka symbol? The first Guardian or the second, example if 1 Guardian say chalice and second says axes would the second guy say same or would same mean go to the other symbol that hasn't been called..
Highest dps possible is any max impact sniper rifle (like Borealis) + any 450rpm auto rifle (Origin Story does as much dps as Coldheart). With ~100 FoW stacks, Borealis hits like a truck (about 60k dmg per shot) and you can fire 5-6 shots per plate with means that if every player in your team land just 5 crits per plate, boss is going to lose about 90% hp before you get to last plate without golden guns, empowering rifts and titan barricades.
Do all 4 guardians on the "big head" side get orbs to spawn for them in order to teleport back or is there something else to It? Thought only 3 orbs spawned after taking out skulls...
It's a decent guide, but there's room for improvement. First, warlock's exotic boots lunafaction allows fireteam members inside the rift to automatically reload, when coldheart is used, the damage will increase substantially (Coldheart increases its damage by how long you are hitting your target). Secondly, when you are on the skull phase, go back as further away from the boss and shoot skulls there. One arc soul (with the lunafaction boots) should be able to get you to 110+ EASY. Plus in this video the team outside shut down Calus' shield after 16 seconds, which is way too early. I think a few tries later and a fireteam can comprehend to an optimal time do it, for my team we do a callout when the people inside the dimension reach 90* skulls and we shut him down, but it's takes a team experienced team member to judge whether it's a good time to do it from the outside as well. Oh and one more tip, don't wipe when one of your team inside the dimension dies.When people die from the inside, revive him from the outside, continue the callout process and kill the TWO counselors remaining in quick succession. if you are good at shooting skulls two people can get it up to 55~65, it won't get you one phase kill but at least you will be able to continue.

Andrew Nguyen honestly i dont either, i think its just because some youtubersll go into a bit more detail than others, for example i saw one of byfs recent videos where he was talking about the bugs like the bug with the raid step of the legend of acrius quest chain being bugged and not dropping the right amount of seals, but the way he was describing it i couldnt tell if he was saying bungies already patched it or if its going to BE patched, so i went around looking at other destiny youtubers who posted about the same thing he did, cause in that video he was also talking about the new clan stuff

TheDaxter11 I didn't call you dumb... it was a question, if you don't know proper grammar, a question mark at the end of a sentence means it's a question and you answered it. 😂 As for the ten minute factor, you do realize, Kackis was trying to explain it to everyone, not just guys who already know how to do the raid, he also was telling what loadouts to use, as well as what subclass to use, as well as the strat itself, as well as the reason he chose to use this subclass or this weapon over others. May I go on? This is why it wasn't under 6 minutes, he was going in depth on how EXACTLY he did it, what he used, recommends, and why he uses it. I'm not asking you, are you dumb again because I already know the answer! 😂 Also emotes are easier and better to use than XD, and I use XD frequently... 👍👌

I know this is a bit old now but would you recommend the tarantula instead of merciless. It seems to kill it against calus and opens up the exotic so you can keep coldheart.
The raid is stupid I don't have 6-8 hours at a time to play straight

Either you can't play on weekdays or both weekend and weekday have the same amount of time for you to play, just do part of it and continue later

Got a question. Does the auto rifle have to be 450 rounds per minute specifically, or should it just be at least that fast. I've only beaten Calus once, but I was using the Ghost Primus at the time, which is 600 rpm.
More RPM equals more damage output, so as long as it has decent stability or you have stability mods on your armor, you should be great!
jedimasterpickle3 with the 450 firing slower you can aim better so it would be reccomended
I think it’s just that the 450 currently have the best perks. Origin had killer range and rampage is really nice. The bonus damage from ghost isn’t really significant enough to compensate.
An also good idea for the warlock with the empowering rift is to have the lunafacation boots which automatically reloads your weapon in the rift

What about the Osaris trace rifle, prometheus lens, instead of coldheart?
I am curious on what your opinion about using sweet business instead of coldheart to take out the skulls? Cold heart has a very focused spread that makes aiming directly at the skulls difficult. 4 people using sweet business can get a lot of skulls taken out that might otherwise be missed?

We single phased calus with a 5 hunter one titan raid team. 4 and 2 like with this strat. 4 hunters all have celestial nighthawk the other haas whatever helmet as he needs 3 golden gun shots. all hunters built to generate orbs with precision hits. basically unlimited golden guns into the boss on 80-90 force of will absolutely melts him

Just wanna raise that the "immune" phase he has isn't from changing forms or anything related to damage. Each plate has a timer on how long the "force of will" stacks are available. When this runs out is when he is immune. Same as if you were trying to shoot him whilst not on a plate.

Hey kack I have a weird exotic set up on my level 18 warlock with level 20 gear both dubious volley and as well as my sunbreaker gauntlets no tweeter for the pic
It also helps when you have 108x damage from the skull count kill. The higher the skull count is the higher you damage output would be.
What exotic armor do you recommend for each class?
I dont have D2 yet sadly, so please correct me if im wrong here: Wouldnt 4 striker titans (if thats the little wall one) a nova bomb warlock and a stormcaller warlock be the most efficient? 4 titans for the 4 spots youll need the little wall for, the stormcaller for the skulls, and the nova bomb for dps.
I saw a team doing a 1 phase and the sweet business plus raid rocket did more than my nameless midnight, coldheart, and curtain call.
how do you get 4 guys out of the big head section. Do four portals spawn? or does one stay for 2 people?

ok so quest question, I'm a main warlock (I use dawnblade but I like to use stormcaller arc souls for strikes and stuff, also the rift always up helps) and I am going to be trying the raid for the first time soon (on PC) I am using the eye from another world, for this would you recommend using the Lunafaction Boots as they reload the weapons of people in the rift?

You mention needing 450 RoF kinetic auto rifle but never mention where you would need it? Is that supposed to be a fill in for the Cold Heart if you don't have ammo for it in the big head world? Cause you do replace the Cold Heart with the Merciless in load out B.

Ok so If there s two in rift how do they know the 3rd call out.. I heard you say 'same but what person will know to call same aka symbol? The first Guardian or the second, example if 1 Guardian say chalice and second says axes would the second guy say same or would same mean go to the other symbol that hasn't been called..
Highest dps possible is any max impact sniper rifle (like Borealis) + any 450rpm auto rifle (Origin Story does as much dps as Coldheart). With ~100 FoW stacks, Borealis hits like a truck (about 60k dmg per shot) and you can fire 5-6 shots per plate with means that if every player in your team land just 5 crits per plate, boss is going to lose about 90% hp before you get to last plate without golden guns, empowering rifts and titan barricades.
Do all 4 guardians on the "big head" side get orbs to spawn for them in order to teleport back or is there something else to It? Thought only 3 orbs spawned after taking out skulls...
It's a decent guide, but there's room for improvement. First, warlock's exotic boots lunafaction allows fireteam members inside the rift to automatically reload, when coldheart is used, the damage will increase substantially (Coldheart increases its damage by how long you are hitting your target). Secondly, when you are on the skull phase, go back as further away from the boss and shoot skulls there. One arc soul (with the lunafaction boots) should be able to get you to 110+ EASY. Plus in this video the team outside shut down Calus' shield after 16 seconds, which is way too early. I think a few tries later and a fireteam can comprehend to an optimal time do it, for my team we do a callout when the people inside the dimension reach 90* skulls and we shut him down, but it's takes a team experienced team member to judge whether it's a good time to do it from the outside as well.
Oh and one more tip, don't wipe when one of your team inside the dimension dies.When people die from the inside, revive him from the outside, continue the callout process and kill the TWO counselors remaining in quick succession. if you are good at shooting skulls two people can get it up to 55~65, it won't get you one phase kill but at least you will be able to continue.
