Hi, thanks for another great video. A couple questions, 1) Would these principles apply to airguns as well? 2) On you rifle you had collars, tuner, etc. multiple devices, does each of these constitute a node?

It should also apply to airguns as well. The tuner is used to adjust the acoustic length off the barrel and hopefully creates a node at the muzzle. The weights were used to adjust the muzzle rise to compensate for vertical dispersion due to variation in ammo velocity. Hopefully with the correct weight and placement, you can reduce the vertical spread due to velocity variation.

    I'm following you on this.
Tune the Rifle not the Ammo.
    The 'Toothpicks' got my attention.

Not much you can do with bad ammo. However, use reasonable good ammo and tune the rifle is best. That is the reason I am designing circuitry to better understand the barrel behavior under loading condition.

@kennethdoughty644 Consistent ammo is key. I have measure a few brands of ammo. Bad ammo are so inconsistent with mass, and dimensions. Therefore, groups are large.

The length of the Harrell tuner at zero mil setting may not be 2.425 inches. There are tolerances between tuners. So, I recommend that you measure the length of the tuner and adjust the calculations accordingly.

Look and see if any top br shooters use Purdy method lmfao NO!

They may not if they want to test lot the ammo. The point is, you can tune the rifle instead of tuning the ammo.

Your gun isn't tuned either kid

It's tuned. Now getting consistent group size of 0.25" @ 50 yds.

I've tuned it so good that it will make tight groups no matter what ammo I feel it. My secret recipe that don't know if I want to disclose to the public.

@@TunerPlinker lmao bs there is no magic sauce in this game kid. It's called killer ammo and killer barrel. You havent found anything that's new. I have far more experience in tuning these guns and har.onics cannot tune a gun barrel. The ammo varies in speed on every shot that in itself changes harmonics every shot. If you can shoot any ammo .25 you're still behind the best br guns in the country. I know for a fact no gun on this planet will shoot the same size groups every single time with any ammo lmfao. Go win the br nationals then kid
