@@daraghokane4236 I disagree, as although Norse Gods are able to die I believe that their described strength more than makes up for it. Such as how Odin and his brothers created the heavens (which is pretty much the universe), which holds Asgard, which holds Valhala. While this would already be an impressive universal level feat, this power is further amplified as (according to information that I got from a previous literary who video) Valhalla should be infinite in size, with Odin/his brothers having created this and much larger/more meaning they have beyond infinite strength. This should mean that other Gods that are implied to have beyond or at least similar strength to these gods such as Thor, Freyja, Magni, Vidarr, etc should have this infinite/beyond infinite strength.
Great work man! I swear you're getting batter and batter with each of these. Im really excited for the Cu Chullainn video. Also a few addendums. I think there is an irish story where Lugh is considered the strongest warrior of all time, and is portrayed as equal to or stronger than Ogma who is the first statement at 4:55 is stated to be equal to The Dagda or at least the second strongest. So this can be used to argue that Lugh is equal to or stronger than The Dagda. I think there was even one story where Lugh put all of the tuatha to sleep and killed Ballor a giant who single handidly turned the battle against the tuatha in the fomorians favour. But this is in the irish version. Nuadu's sword is also stated to be able to cut trough any shield. And the name of "The Good God" for Dagda is debatad wather or not it means he is morally good or if he is just talentad.
From what folklorists have described, the Dagda is not a morally good god in the sense he is omnibenevolent, he is good at "fucking everything" according to Jon O' Sullivan. He has a channel called the Irish Pagan School where he explores this in more detail. He is a bard of the Dagda and he explains that the Dagda is skilled at everything since in the second battle of Mag Tuiredh, he claims that he will take every skill the other members of the Tuatha have and use them for himself which from lines 70-83 includes things like: "Then he said that they should bring him the fidchell-boards of Tara, and he won all the stakes, so that he made the cro of Lug. (But if fidchell was invented at the time of the Trojan war, it had not reached Ireland yet, for the battle of Mag Tuired and the destruction of Troy occurred at the same time.) 70. Then that was related to Nuadu. "Let him into the court," said Nuadu, "for a man like that has never before come into this fortress." 71. Then the doorkeeper let him past, and he went into the fortress, and he sat in the seat of the sage, because he was a sage in every art. 72. Then Ogma threw the flagstone, which required fourscore yoke of oxen to move it, through the side of the hall so that it lay outside against Tara. That was to challenge Lug, who tossed the stone back so that it lay in the centre of the royal hall; and he threw the piece which it had carried away back into the side of the royal hall so that it was whole again. 73. "Let a harp be played for us," said the hosts. Then the warrior played sleep music for the hosts and for the king on the first night, putting them to sleep from that hour to the same time the next day. He played sorrowful music so that they were crying and lamenting. He played joyful music so that they were merry and rejoicing. 74. Then Nuadu, when he had seen the warrior's many powers, considered whether he could release them from the bondage they suffered at the hands of the Fomoire. So they held a council concerning the warrior, and the decision which Nuadu reached was to exchange seats with the warrior. So Samildanach went to the king's seat, and the king arose before him until thirteen days had passed. 75. The next day he and the two brothers, Dagda and Ogma, conversed together on Grellach Dollaid; and his two kinsmen Goibniu and Dian Cecht were summoned to them. 76. They spent a full year in that secret conference, so that Grellach Dollaid is called the Amrun of the Men of the Goddess. 77. Then the druids of Ireland were summoned to them, together with their physicians and their charioteers and their smiths and their wealthy landowners and their lawyers. They conversed together secretly. 78. Then he asked the sorcerer, whose name was Mathgen, what power he wielded. He answered that he would shake the mountains of Ireland beneath the Fomoire so that their summits would fall to the ground. And it would seem to them that the twelve chief mountains of the land of Ireland would be fighting on behalf of the Tuatha De Danann: Slieve League, and Denda Ulad, and the Mourne Mountains, and Bri Erigi and Slieve Bloom and Slieve Snaght, Slemish and Blaisliab and Nephin Mountain and Sliab Maccu Belgodon and the Curlieu hills and Croagh Patrick. 79. Then he asked the cupbearer what power he wielded. He answered that he would bring the twelve chief lochs of Ireland into the presence of the Fomoire and they would not find water in them, however thirsty they were. These are the lochs: Lough Derg, Lough Luimnig, Lough Corrib, Lough Ree, Lough Mask, Strangford Lough, Belfast Lough, Lough Neagh, Lough Foyle, Lough Gara, Loughrea, Marloch. They would proceed to the twelve chief rivers of Ireland--the Bush, the Boyne, the Bann, the Blackwater, the Lee, the Shannon, the Moy, the Sligo, the Erne, the Finn, the Liffey, the Suir--and they would all be hidden from the Fomoire so they would not find a drop in them. But drink will be provided for the men of Ireland even if they remain in battle for seven years. 80. Then Figol mac Mamois, their druid, said, "Three showers of fire will be rained upon the faces of the Fomorian host, and I will take out of them two-thirds of their courage and their skill at arms and their strength, and I will bind their urine in their own bodies and in the bodies of their horses. Every breath that the men of Ireland will exhale will increase their courage and skill at arms and strength. Even if they remain in battle for seven years, they will not be weary at all. 81. The Dagda said, "The power which you boast, I will wield it all myself." "You are the Dagda ['the Good God']!" said everyone, and "Dagda" stuck to him from that time on. 82. Then they disbanded the council to meet that day three years later. 83. Then after the preparation for the battle had been settled, Lug and the Dagda and Ogma went to the three gods of Danu, and they gave Lug equipment for the battle; and for seven years they had been preparing for them and making their weapons."

This is so cool! Not only because I have Celtic ancestry and love mythology but mainly because I love how many supernatural powers the Tuatha De Danaan have! Why this hasn’t been made into a movie yet is beyond me. I wanted to ask you a question if I may. In a match up between the Tuath and the Greek pantheon - who would win? Also who would win between the Tuath and the Norse Aesir? I hope all is well. 😁
( 1:40) the sword will never misses, even if it’s blocked or just cuts some hair, it still technically hit something. It can also bypass resistances. If the sword does 100 physical damage, but you have a 75% physical damage resistance, reducing the damage to 25? Nope. Full 100 damage dealt.
It’s funny enough that in celtic mythology there is an example of the superiority of magic over raw strength. There is Fianna knight called Goll mac Morna who can push back with his punch a sheep which contain weight of all world in body. And that Goll cannot protect his kingdom against evil god Aillen because Aillen just use sleep spell and burn everything when Fianna is asleep. Only when Fionn mac Cumhall appear and use his magic bag of magical tools Aillen is defeated pretty easily. Even Goll admit Fionn power over his own.
Good and entertaining video all around. I would generally have to agree with the scaling here, and star level should generally be bacled up (for the high tiers like lugh and ogham) due to balor and his connection to sun (his eye) One other thing i would argue is revival hacks for at least lugh (and the other of his tier), given he can freely leave the otherworld, as shown in the cattle raid of cooley.
Ok after these thoroughly hilarious breakdowns i NEED to see you cover Elder Scrolls mythology. I know tesbros can be………opinionated but imo they have just enough wackiness. Like Pelinal Whitestrake alone
@@literarywho ty! I believe we chatted briefly once before and iirc you had asked for some resources and YT wasnt appreciative of me linking outside of YT lol. Some fast resources: The Monomyth (details the creation myth as jt appears across tamriel) Varieties of Faith within the Empire The Song of Pelinal Whitestrake The 36 Lessons of Vivec (this one is a bit much tbh tho it does give some important feats for the Living Tribunal, who are regarded as deities in some Era in Tamriel) The Book of Deadra The Darkest Darkness The Doors of Oblivion/On Oblivion (The last 3 is specifically for Daedra, which technically are still gods albeit different) And ofc the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages, which is the place yt wasnt happy w me for talking about last time lol. If im being honest you could/would likely have to make it 2-3 parter like you did w Irish Mythology or Lovecraft. Ofc i am a biased TESbro so may take that w a grain of salt.

It says would so probably it makes a person's pride to be higher so they will never dodge out of pride and the later part means no one can resist that effect do anyone he fights with will never dodge his sword
@@gurd739wrong bro that will be a no limit fallacy. And there are primadals in the myths. Then goku will dodge the spear since he is a little bit pride put he mastered his ego, instinct.

Hey Literally Who, With the Tuath being intangible like air and being able to do things like walk on the clouds and float about - is this innate godly power or is this the manipulation of air elemental magic? You mentioned their magical abilities as their most powerful feature but before that how they are the people of the wind. Is this a separate power to magic or are their godly powers and magic one and the same?
Hello Viking of Hard Cheese. The Tuatha de Danann's ability to be intangible and having flight is likely innate. But their other abilities are described as magic in most sources where they appear.
Your thumbnail for this video is a little bit incorrect, IMO. Celt's weren't just restricted to Ireland. If you think about it, the jurisdiction of the Celtic Pantheon actually spans a total of FOUR countries: Ireland, Britannia (which includes Britain AND Scotland), France (which was originally called Gaul), and Spain.
Honest question. Is there actual any different stories for the roman gods that aren't just an alternative version or as side characters for european novels centuries after?
@@luckluca8982there are Roman stories they add to the tapestry of Greek mythology and they are in general more “brutal” as ive heard them described lol. You dont lose much but there are subtle enough differences imo to warrant at least an explanation vid
@@luckluca8982 Many Roman sources are the best and most detailed sources that exist on Greek myths! Claudian's De Raptu Proserpinae is by far the most detailed source that exist about Hades and Persephone, the poet Statius wrote a backstory about Achilles( the Achilleid), the best source about Seven against Thebes( Thebaid) and one of the best about underworld in general too. People don't like him, but Ovid is the best source on many Greek myths like Orpheus and Euridyce
@@luckluca8982 There is the Aeneid, the national epic of Rome, which is simply a continuation of the Iliad, Seneca's version of Hercules is possibly his most powerful version, because in Seneca's poem it is explicitly said that the heavens have an immeasurable or infinite weight. Seneca's nephew, Lucan wrote an epic about Orpheus that was unfortunately lost to time. About your question, yes, most of Roman Mythology is just Greek mythology fanfics, continuations or reboots, but in many situations they are the most detailed sources that exist about these myths.
I want to say two things First :Where Cernnunos how strong is he Second: pls make a how strong is Hercules video he has good feats trust me from running Faster than His own Arrows almost shooting down the sun His Shield may even have Gorgon's on it he also lifted the sky and the Constellations and just Universe on top of it
Cerrnnunos is gallic and not part of irish myth. Hercules is truly slept on to much. He defeated in one version Poseidon, Hades, Ares, Hera, Apollo all at once in Pylos. He lifted the universe and according to pliny easier than atlas. He stalemated Zeus in wrestling during the first mythical olympic games with the text calling them equal. Since he already defeated Poseidon and Hades earlier this could make him as powerful as the iliads „God of Gods“ version of Zeus who boasts that he is a God compared to all the other Olmpians combined. In the Odyssey, Odysseus calls him so skilled in archery that he can contend with Gods and that he doesn’t dare compare himself with him. He defeats Thanatos or Hades to retrieve Alcestis soul. But according one version he replicated Asclepius feat of reviving the dead with God-level medical skills. He also knows divination and might know magic. His golden falchion , which in some versions in archaic vase depictions is actually the Harpe has Hydra poison and his arrows are dipped in hydra poison too. Which is powerful enough to almost kill Hercules and kills everything else instantly. The Nemean lion pelt which makes him invulnerable to weapons. In Orphism, the Orphic hymn to Heracles says that he is so skilled and strong that he is a God among Gods and rules over them.
@@Andre-c6z I started thinking about what is the most powerful versions or sources of the Greek and Roman gods are and after searching a little I think it would be like this! Zeus= Orphic Zeus of course Hercules=Seneca, furens (In this version it is explicitly said that the Heavens have immeasurable or infinite weight, and it is implied that he could defeat Jupiter) Hades= Statius Thebaid(books 8 and 11) and Claudian De Raptu Proserpinae Poseidon, Apollo and Dionysus = Nonnus Dionysiaca Hephaestus = Metamorphosis
here's the thing though... i have read the mahabharata. unabridged by the way. the mahabharata (at least the version i have) is 10 thousand pages long and i've read that. not to make youtube videos mind you, i just wanted to read the mahabharata. so i'm no stranger to reading long books... but if you and i were playing yugioh, i would not read your cards. ain't nobody got time for that 🤷♂ my approach to dueling is to just do my thing and then hope for the best.

I just finished watching your backlog! Thanks so much for all the great videos!!! Have a nice day!
thanks and you too!
@@literarywho Thanks man! I hope your channel really takes off soon, you really deserve it!
Work, what's that? It is time to watch a frog talk about power levels, something far more important.
Love this channel
Love your videos man.
11:00 given the composition of ki, any dragon ball character would be resistant to mental attacks. But you are likely already aware.
Another banging video as always Mr Who
Brother I actually love you. excited to watch this it will be my introduction to celtic mythology! I believe it will be a good introduction!
thank you for watching. love you too!
Huge fan of the Celtic stuff you’ve been uploading! After Cú Chulainn, could you talk about Fionn MacCumhaill? Keep up the great vids!
Bro can we get a " how strong is essential divinity?" , anyways you finally uploaded
Can't wait for the next video
*BIG STRONK* 💪💪💪
It’s funny enough that in celtic mythology there is an example of the superiority of magic over raw strength. There is Fianna knight called Goll mac Morna who can push back with his punch a sheep which contain weight of all world in body. And that Goll cannot protect his kingdom against evil god Aillen because Aillen just use sleep spell and burn everything when Fianna is asleep. Only when Fionn mac Cumhall appear and use his magic bag of magical tools Aillen is defeated pretty easily. Even Goll admit Fionn power over his own.
This sounds insane. Is there a source for this that can be found and read?
What part of the Fenian cycle is this found in?
Honestly seems reasonable. It's like how Goku is Low Multiversal yet he can still be put to sleep with magic and still die from diseases.
@@juliusnovachrono4370 It is one Fionn's feats, that he uses his own magic defeat Aillen
Good and entertaining video all around. I would generally have to agree with the scaling here, and star level should generally be bacled up (for the high tiers like lugh and ogham) due to balor and his connection to sun (his eye)
One other thing i would argue is revival hacks for at least lugh (and the other of his tier), given he can freely leave the otherworld, as shown in the cattle raid of cooley.
Ok after these thoroughly hilarious breakdowns i NEED to see you cover Elder Scrolls mythology. I know tesbros can be………opinionated but imo they have just enough wackiness. Like Pelinal Whitestrake alone
elder scrolls huh...
not a bad suggestion actually. thanks.
@@literarywho ty! I believe we chatted briefly once before and iirc you had asked for some resources and YT wasnt appreciative of me linking outside of YT lol.
Some fast resources:
The Monomyth (details the creation myth as jt appears across tamriel)
Varieties of Faith within the Empire
The Song of Pelinal Whitestrake
The 36 Lessons of Vivec (this one is a bit much tbh tho it does give some important feats for the Living Tribunal, who are regarded as deities in some Era in Tamriel)
The Book of Deadra
The Darkest Darkness
The Doors of Oblivion/On Oblivion
(The last 3 is specifically for Daedra, which technically are still gods albeit different)
And ofc the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages, which is the place yt wasnt happy w me for talking about last time lol.
If im being honest you could/would likely have to make it 2-3 parter like you did w Irish Mythology or Lovecraft.
Ofc i am a biased TESbro so may take that w a grain of salt.
Could you please make a video about hindu pantheon, that should be interesting. As I know gods there are quite powerful, especially the trimurty
By the way, you make great videos, they're always interesting, you have my gratitude
As someone who is Irish, thank you for doing this
my pleasure!
thank you for watching.
@@literarywho can't wait for the next vid
Someday you should do some monster mashing. Like vampires and mummies and stuff. It somewhat clashes with mythology too! Also Shinto has some crazy Gods/Folklore I am sure
I Loved It, Funny,Detailed And Cool Vídeo 💪😎
Sugestion Of Next Mythologies:
Orphism,Hinduism,Abrahamic, Brazilian And Gnostic.
We really need to know how big stronk slavic gods are next
you can make assian pantheons as well like Chinese to Steppes if you want
I wave back when you say bye as an absent minded gesture. So it would seem it the favor is returned in kind 😂
much love brother.
I love these videos
Woooo!!! My favourite pantheon!!!!!
Haven’t clicked on a video so fast in a long time
If you want a nutty pantheon to scale next, check out Finnish pantheon. Their death gods especially are a crazy bunch
Your videos are such a great way to learn new stuff about mythology 😂
Do the Slavic gods next
Would love to see a video on how strong Scathach is.
You should Slavic gods next
Please do a video for hindu mythology
Him covering Hinduism and Buddhism would be awesome.
1:40 sword got aim bot and is sharp enough to cut to shield and armor or gives the opponent a mental debuff for fighting. I think dagda is 4D, vegeta can resist the mind control because he always keeps his pride.
Have a custumer on hold on the phone while I watch this video.
You're the salt of the Earth.
Do the classic universal monsters next
Yooo new upload, BTW you said in you yog-sothoth video that the other gods aren't the strongest characters in fiction? Then who is? In your opinion
thanks for watching! to answer your question:
nobody. i don't believe that the strongest character in fiction exist.
fiction does not have a limit so no character can ever claim the title of "the strongest"
Can you do a video on the Valar of the Tolkien legendarium?
can you do the pantheons and cosmic beings of marvel and dc comics?
One problem they can get speed blitzed so anyone with existence erasure (like manga goku) who is way faster can just speed blitz and erase them at least if he’s taking it searsly
While they have good hax due there lacking speed a don’t think there that stronk
Yay, Colin
please do something on LOTM :3
Does anyone know the RPG Game that came up in 3:11 in the video?
I've been looking for that for many years now, i still remember playing that game in my PSP.
👍
Do hindu and Buddhist mythology next?
Can do a video on Scarlet King vs the anime fate
From my personal experience Excalibur gave me ultimate wisdom while sheathed and turned you into a killing machine when unsheathed.
Been waiting for this one, could the Incan Gods be next?
Hey Literally Who,
With the Tuath being intangible like air and being able to do things like walk on the clouds and float about - is this innate godly power or is this the manipulation of air elemental magic? You mentioned their magical abilities as their most powerful feature but before that how they are the people of the wind. Is this a separate power to magic or are their godly powers and magic one and the same?
Hello Viking of Hard Cheese. The Tuatha de Danann's ability to be intangible and having flight is likely innate.
But their other abilities are described as magic in most sources where they appear.
Manannan Mac Lir is my favorite Celtic God! He is just awesome!😂
What do you think about the comic Godzilla vs cthulhu?
BIG NUMBER.
I wonder if there will be something about Slavic mythology or not?
Hey bro did you read the lotm novel
still waiting for the roman mythology(Greeks on steroids)
@@luckluca8982 and also have the strongest versions of Hades ( Claudian and Statius )
So will you consider doing Hindu or other Asian mythologies now?
How powerful are Norse gods ( like how powerful are Egyptian gods)
th-cam.com/video/nsm9uajlONg/w-d-xo.html is your link to the egyptian gods
you will find how strong is odin in his video collection.
@@juliusnovachrono4370 i did
Babe wake up new literary who video peak peak peak
Can you do cu chulain ??????
You should do a video about non canonical Jewish texts, like the book of giants and how sexy time made world bad.
Do the Valar
Can you do old Ukrainian gods next? Also known as Slavic gods
11:37 or just speed.
Fear and hunger pantheon powerscaling when? ;)
never heard of it but i'll look into it and if i like it i'll consider making videos about it.
thanks for the recommendation.
You didn’t do speed.
8:24 given that his reason for existing is unknown, no.
Cernunnos gave me PTSD in FGO
Does anyone know the game in 3:11???
How strong is Mwindo
Good question ho
Im curious how many pantions are left xD
Ahh yeah
Hindu myth🦉🦉
Asta?
But What about the carrot!🥕
I want to say two things
First :Where Cernnunos how strong is he
Second: pls make a how strong is Hercules video he has good feats trust me from running Faster than His own Arrows almost shooting down the sun His Shield may even have Gorgon's on it he also lifted the sky and the Constellations and just Universe on top of it
Cerrnnunos is gallic and not part of irish myth.
Zeus= Orphic Zeus of course
Hercules=Seneca, furens (In this version it is explicitly said that the Heavens have immeasurable or infinite weight, and it is implied that he could defeat Jupiter)
Hades= Statius Thebaid(books 8 and 11) and Claudian De Raptu Proserpinae
Poseidon, Apollo and Dionysus = Nonnus Dionysiaca
Hephaestus = Metamorphosis
If you read all those texts then you might actually be the only Yu GI oh player that reads the effects
here's the thing though...
i have read the mahabharata. unabridged by the way.
the mahabharata (at least the version i have) is 10 thousand pages long and i've read that. not to make youtube videos mind you, i just wanted to read the mahabharata.
so i'm no stranger to reading long books...
but if you and i were playing yugioh, i would not read your cards.
ain't nobody got time for that 🤷♂
my approach to dueling is to just do my thing and then hope for the best.
@@literarywho LMAO
That's fair
I usually look for key words when an effect I need of a card activates if I can and should do anything about it
@@literarywho wait imagine you make a live video where you read every Yu hi oh card until you reach a certain goal of subscribers💀💀
