- Hey comic (and beer) fans, I once again go to a fantastic comic book show held at a local BREWERY! Not only did I see and buy some great comic books, I was surprised to meet a published comic book artist and dip my toes into the world of original comic art! Oh, and of course I also had a fantastic time hanging out with family and friends... check out the video to check out this amazing show and what awesome stuff I picked up!

They just started doing a vinyl record & collectibles show in a Brewery near me here in Phoenix, Az. One of the vendors is a comic book guy. I love it, old records, comics & collectibles there’s nothing better than that!
That Xmen art is sweet but that ghost rider art is wicked nice! 👍 nice grab!

Congratulations on those pick-ups. I think you got a really good deal on those original works. It reminds me of the early days of eBay when I picked up a David Mack panel. I've found that the smaller shows sometimes have the best original art deals. I picked up a George Pratt framed painting used in Wolverine Netsuke at a small art gallery show in Santa Fe that was reasonably priced. I don't really display comics but I do have a lot of original art in my art studio and home.
That Ghost Rider is incredible. $300 for that group of items is great. I feel like some of the great artists from the 90s and 2000s are criminally underappreciated. I had 2 sketches of my kids done as Hawkeye and Batgirl by Steven Geiger. I dont remember what I paid for them but it doesnt matter, theyre incredible. Keep an eye out for these 'forgotten' stars!

My watch list is laced with Larry's luxurious work. It disappears, as quickly, as I add it. I remain undeterred.

I feel $300 on the X-men and $200 on the Ghost would have been a fair price, so 200 bucks for both is a steal of a deal! Especially for OA! Like you said quick head sketches are typically 100 bucks alone. Beautiful grab!

The only DD 131 on Ebay right now for under $100 are trashed and no MVS, I settled for a 4.5 for $140 with the stamp, it seemed the best deal on there, the higher grades were $200 and up. I'd say you got a pretty good deal.
That X-Men piece is sweet! I would have paid that price all day!

Those pieces at bigger shows would be easy 300.00 or more easy.
DD 131 is high on my list. It'll complete a nice Bronze Age DD run for me. Just waiting...

My local fb group puts on retro video game swap meets and those are at breweries and our group’s events are growing bigger and bigger unfortunately I have to work during this upcoming one but they are always at a brewery and the shows are fantastic!

Buy more comic art and commissions. You got so many vintage retro comics already. It's getting boring fast.
