I'm utterly ignorant of 2CV tuning, but it looks as if the cooling-fan ducting has been modified so that it also pressurises the carburettor. Very neat, if so. What sort of boost does the arrangement deliver?
What a fantastic job Bram! I was particularly excited to see that you had fitted the Burton Y Sports exhaust; I have one on my 2CV, it sounds wonderful, let me know what you think of it? When will you post the rest of your build, I'm looking forward to seeing the body go on. Cheers!
Thanx Jeremy, as soon as we worked to the end stage off the body we will post. I can’t wait to hear the sound of the exhaust…. Nice to hear from you that you like it

I'm sorry that I can't write in Dutch, I can understand a bit, after all it's a cousin of English :) I belong to the 2CVGB Club, when I posted that I had fitted the Burton exhaust I got a really negative response; it seems that it's quite acceptable to paint a 2CV weird colours, but pop a sports exhaust on and you are in trouble! Our car is 35 years old, it's now faster than when it was new, 123 ignition, Burton high power coil and the 'Sports exhaust'. I think the exhaust makes the most difference at high revs; you just have to be careful on the over run, it crackles and pops a lot, which is not supposed to be good for the engine? I just cover the throttle a little with my foot to stop it; although it sounds great!
