- I was challenged to get 1,073 kills in Splatoon 3 with the Splatana Wiper. So I streamed for a total of 13 hours just to achieve this. Of course I lost my sanity halfway through...

If anything, I think he needs bedtime after this hellish challenge…
My dedication on mastering shooter weapons is nonstop but swipers, brushes, and rollers is another story.. I cannot do these kind of challenges as jay does and that's why I watch him do these kind of videos to give me some confidence too on mastering Splatoon.

As the man at 12:22 my plan was just to go in there and hope for the best. The best did not occur and I have learned my lesson to never pick up Dapples again

the fact that jay, someone who says he dislikes the wiper, ends up becoming better than me, a wiper main (though a very bad one, at that), at the end of this, is kind of insane to me. congrats on beating the challenge though!
this reminds me of when i beat inner agent 3 4 times on splatoon's 8th anniversary. i was going for a 5th because i wanted to beat it 8 times in total for 8 years of splatoon, but i was going insane by the end and couldn't.

I’m no shiny hunter, but my parents made me fold the laundry and you are excellent background noise
I will make a few things straight for Jaymoji for future reference
Opening Gambit is the first 30 seconds, however if you get a kill or assist while the effect is active, it gets extended by 15 seconds, and since your main drive is purely kills, as long as you’re not to reckless in the start of the match, you can get a pretty large speed boost for almost the entire game
However, run speed is said to be disregarded with Wiper since Wiper has the best strafe speed of any weapon. Usually people use Ninja Squid since Wiper is a light weight front line and Quick Respawn incase they mess up more than they intend to
You can roll the torpedo on the ground to make the 60 damage more reliable however it comes at the expense of it being a meat shield, but either way combos well with the main weapon and the hammer
Just a few things if you ever consider Wiper or anything else relevant to this comment

As an Aerospray main, I can confidently say no other weapon is harder to get a kill with (although its still not *that* hard)
As a former Aerospray main, you haven't touched Undercover Brella.

As someone who mains wiper a common mistake that new players (and me occasionally) do is they try to only get the one hit kill. Or they will spam vertical attacks and while that is good for poking it’s not the best. The best way to use the vertical is to combo it with either a torpedo which will create a one hit kill at a distance or follow it up with two quick horizontal attacks for a 3 shot at close range. The Biggest thing for new wiper players is don’t get charge kill happy and remember that you have more range than most short ranged shooters like TTek or splash so play for your range. Hope this helps new players
@@SStorm337 the horizontal swing on its own has already gotten me so many kills but im too obsessed with trying to master the vertical swing
also another tip take advantage of the wipers high mobility as much as you can

It's funny how I'm a splatana main so much so I learned the closer you are to the enemy it deals more damage
I didn't even know this was going on and yet i managed to get into the vid by deciding to play some turf one night. I was in the last few matches before Jay reached his goal. Good Job Jay!
