Even though this video has nothing to do with Nautilus, I have to say Jay, thank you. You honestly inspired me to play Nautilus in Splatoon 3, and now it's one of my favorite weapons. I will make a few things straight for Jaymoji for future reference Opening Gambit is the first 30 seconds, however if you get a kill or assist while the effect is active, it gets extended by 15 seconds, and since your main drive is purely kills, as long as you’re not to reckless in the start of the match, you can get a pretty large speed boost for almost the entire game However, run speed is said to be disregarded with Wiper since Wiper has the best strafe speed of any weapon. Usually people use Ninja Squid since Wiper is a light weight front line and Quick Respawn incase they mess up more than they intend to You can roll the torpedo on the ground to make the 60 damage more reliable however it comes at the expense of it being a meat shield, but either way combos well with the main weapon and the hammer Just a few things if you ever consider Wiper or anything else relevant to this comment

As someone who mains wiper a common mistake that new players (and me occasionally) do is they try to only get the one hit kill. Or they will spam vertical attacks and while that is good for poking it’s not the best. The best way to use the vertical is to combo it with either a torpedo which will create a one hit kill at a distance or follow it up with two quick horizontal attacks for a 3 shot at close range. The Biggest thing for new wiper players is don’t get charge kill happy and remember that you have more range than most short ranged shooters like TTek or splash so play for your range. Hope this helps new players
