This game is underappreciated. I wish we could somehow get a superman game similar to Marvel's Spider-Man and the Batman Arkham games. With most if not all of Supes rogues gallery.
I feel like it would have to be level based like this game was though. Free roaming would not work at this point. Not with a character like Superman.
@@ChannelNerdgasm No it would be perfect! Imagine being able to fly around the world!
@@Mr.PR2000 If superman can free roam, what you can do in the game is severely diminished because of how many resources go into making the world instead of fun things to do. A level based game would fit supes better for the technology/design philosophy at the moment
@@Shadowkunakari I’ll take that aswell. I don’t mind tbh. Maybe have big hubs like God Of War and Rachet and Clank. Semi open world setting. I still think an open world Superman game could work obviously limit it to a few cities Like Metropolis,Smallville and maybe some other city. Then the rest spend the resources on gameplay and story. Also they can just use the assets of Suicide Squad kill the Justice league.
@@Mr.PR2000Actually I was thinking about it, and I think an open world supes game would work if it was structured like dead Rising. Hear me out, the game is telling one story, but, to actually see it you have to do everything in time by flying all over the place just like Clark would have to., So you're trying to have a perfect day for superman/clark while flying all over the world trying to solve various problems under a time limit.
I give some props to this game for actually using other Superman villains besides Luthor and Darkseid (who is not even Superman villain by the way). For some weird reason movies seem to forget that Superman has other enemies besides Luthor or Zod, making his rogues gallery and potential for stories feel very small.
I could not stop playing this back in the day next to pacman world 2
Both Shadow of apocalypse and Superman Returns whether you love them or hate them, they're at least better than the n64 dumpster fire

This game is so nostalgic for me.
This was one of the earlier games I played on the GameCube and I enjoyed it, though I could never get pass level 3 lol. That stupid dam level!
But I like the gameplay, the graphics were nice, and I love it's inspired by the Superman Animated Series design, especially with how much I love Superman The Animated Series!
I think the Superman returns game would be right up your alley if you wanna review it.
I plan on reviewing it next year closer to when the new movie comes out. A few Superman-related videos planned actually lol

This game is pretty good but it would've been absolutely amazing if it was freeroam like spider man 2
Imagine flying around a huge metropolis as super man beating enemies delivering them to the police and getting missions from friends like jimmy olsen and lois lane on the daily planet
We're about due for a new attempt at a Superman one. There are ways to nerf him and the environment to make it work.

How about villains get a hold of kryptonite gauntlets to punch superman
They could use Kryptonite or have you in dark environments with the red sun as the only light source. And they can do what they did in this game, have Superman heal over time when you're outside or something. If they can't have it fully open-world, have semi-open levels like Shadow Of Apokolips had. Or a newer example would be maybe Marvel's Avengers where you load in to a designated area. I honestly don't need games to be fully open. As long as a strong story is driving you, a linear game is fine by me.

@@ChannelNerdgasm I had the Xbox version and the ps2 one and there different the graphics powers levels all differ from each other don’t know what the ps3 version looks like
