I think I have fallen behind in my quarterly compliment of this amazing example of a Streetfighter. Gorgeous. Hear a big L twin and a dry clutch chatter....must be a Ducati.
Faaaarking Sweeeeeeeet! Talk about foreplay.....little bit of attention here, firm grip there, gentle touch...then at 5:48 - make that baby purrrr! Seriously mate, that is one gorgeous machine. Props to your girlfriend for filming and for obviously being so chilled with your love and passion for your Duke. Safe riding. Cheers from Australia.
I just picked up a loaded 2012 Streetfighter S at my local used bike shop. It was consigned by an M&M Mars executive. 303 miles and roughly 14k in parts. Your video and a few others really helped me pull the trigger. I love the 1000+ class and I can't get enough of the dry clutch. Take care of her next season :)
Heya. THANKS. Limited space here. You send Shift-Tech yours, and then they do the necessary alterations, and send it back to you. If you have the tools I am pretty sure you can do it yourself. But be very careful removing your rear foot pegs. Taking them off is very hard and it is easy to really scratch your bike. The Led / License plate removal system I used is Competition Werkes, in Oregon. Mine is the STEALTH tail tidy. Again, if you are a bit savvy you can do it yourself. GOOD LUCK!
My god that bike is gorgeous. Can't say I would disagree with a single thing you have added to it. Very tasefully done all around. Totally stealing that exact handlebar setup (bar, mirrors, grips) for my Street Triple.
That Exaust is freaking Sick, how it wraps around and then is tilted up so that naked beautiful rear wheel is showing nicely next to the carbon fiber! I hate when people get the dual Exaust and end up covering the view of the single sided swing arm with the dual pipes on the side instead of getting dual exaust kits where the pipes are nicely coming out underneath the seat like 2 Rockets lol 😂. So big props to you on your choice and style of exaust bro.
sweet bike... was looking at these today at the dealer when i was picking up parts for one my bikes... wish we could have lisence plate holders like that in the UK... makes back end of bike look so much nicer
The seat is very high and I'm 5'8 with about 30" inseam. I have no problems although I can't even come close flat footing it. If you have ever ridden large MX bikes you wont have a problem as the weight of the bike isn't an issue. This is one my favorite bikes of all time that I own. The bike is very visceral and handles amazing. The power is addictive and the bike begs to be ridden fast. The bar ergonomics and seat position are not an issue for me as I have long arms. Beautiful Bike BTW!!
Yes, Of course. Looking forward to seeing your bike. I've only been in the rain a few times and the tail of the bike takes care of 99% of the splashes.
I own several Ducati's and I will say that the 1098SF is unequivocally the most exhilarating bike I have ever ridden. I would love to try the Aprilia Tuono V4 but just cant get past the looks. If Aprilia makes a factory version with better colors I would definitely consider it. I hear the bike is amazing and extremely fun to ride. Next year Aprilia is updating there bikes. I want an to see the new iteration of the SF next year. If its anything like the panigale it will be a home run. IMHO
Gausereporting I just picked up a sf848 dark stealth and I'm leaning towards the shift-tech exhaust. Did you go with that style over their termi version for a reason? I like the one you have one here, who do go through to get it installed? Last question, how is the bazzaaz working for you? Thanks, and subbed btw.
P Banks HI, sorry I took so long to get back to you. I got that exhaust because I thought it looked the best out of all the options, and honestly in person it is Awesome. You buy it directly from Shift-Tech Carbon in Florida. You have to take off your headers and send it to them because they have to do a little modification, and then they send the whole unit back to you. You have choices of: blacked out, exhaust valve removal, db insert baffles. Just email them and Guido will help you. Mine is version 2, and now I think they are on version 3, but you can just talk to them about it all.
Gregg, I now own your bike in Tarpon Springs, Florida. YES, this very bike is now in my garage. And how it made it here to the Tampa Bay area is beyond me, but you'll definitely see a lot more views of this video from my friends checking it out.
Hi Doug. Sorry for the lag in answering. Well, I hurt my back, not riding, and it was severe enough that I had to move near family to recover for awhile. My wife's family is here in Clearwater and it worked best to come here. Yes, Im in Clearwater, like 10 miles away. Anyway, that's how the bike got here. There was one owner between you and I and I know hm well and he treated the bike very well too. I'd be happy to meet up and tell you about the bike if you wanted or have any questions. I'm "proheli" at Ducati.ms.
Looks amazing, sounds like a tractor from the 50s! ;) I'm sure it's completely different in person though. Super jealous. I wish number plates like that were legal in the UK, I'd be pulled over as soon as I left my house with that!
I'm almost 6' 2" and the bike is totally comfortable. Rizoma has a handle bar called MA008, which is 20mm higher with a very comfortable wrist bend, if you need any more room. You can actually ride all day with that bar, day after day. The bar that is on there is actually lower than stock and I ride for hours no prob.
Sorry, I missed this post and am just now answering it. You are correct. You have to get the bar end adapters/adjusters. It IS sold separately. Best, Gregg
No, I was trying to remember the name of the Exhaust Valve. It opens below 5000rpm and lets the bike run quieter. But if you remove it or close it then the bike runs smoother below 5000 (yes a little louder). I believe the Catalytic Converters are in or near the stock mufflers, and they were removed when Shift-Tech did the exhaust.
I understand, but Street Triple is a fantastic bike. Its true the SFS is a step farther up the performance ladder and I can tell you that everywhere I go the bike just PULLS compliments, but to get all the mods that I have done to it, you could have two new Speed Trips. If you've got the money, spend it, if not, save for it. Its worth it.
Nice bike, enjoy some of the attention to detail. jmoth79, on my zx6r, when the dealership installed the slip on and power commander, noticed a lot of backfiring. Found out it was the conflict between the upgraded mods to the emission system. So after gutting out the smog canister, and emission box, reroute some hoses and put some block off plates, got rid of the back fire and runs sublime. So with that said, Ducati might have a similar system.
I definitely hear you, that was a weird couple of weeks on new tires, with not many corners, but I can report that the rear finished up edge to edge and the front only had about 1/4" chicken strip, which I'm told is pretty dang good for the pirelli.
It is 1 inch lower than stock and has a more comfortable bend, and it makes the bike handle a little quicker. Its a great option. I currently use the 005, which has even more bend and I have them turned down a bit, like clip ons, and they are cut of an inch on both sides. This makes the bike handle even quicker and a little easier to hang off.
I only had the Shift-tech on without the Bazzaz for a few weeks. It didn't ever back fire and maybe only mild pops on decel. Once the Bazzaz was in, I quickly did the auto tune and never had any issues, maybe only once in a while hearing some mild pops. Most recently I have had a custom tune, just a few rides so far, and only noteworhtry because the AFR is about 13.4/13.5 - 1. Much leaner than before, and so far there has still never been a back fire and really only the mildest pops, if any.
Hey man thats one hella bike right there! I own a Duc 750 ss '92 myself and added a few mods such as a racing exhaust (*don't tell anyone* ^^) but I still get a little envious when I see this wicked beauty. =)
Hi. Yes, Guido did the coating too. He said he had someone pretty close by to do it and the price and quality were good. I think it is just power coating.
Hi Craig. Thank you very much. My exhaust is by a company in Florida called Shift-tech Carbon, or just Shift Tech. Guido is the owner and you can go to the website and email him with questions. You can research them on Ducati.ms - the Ducati forum.. Mine specifically is their 2nd gen Streetfighter 2 into 1 GP exhaust. Also its blacked out, has the exhaust valve removed and No exhaust baffle. Around $2,000. There is also a great Slip-on by SC Project, for about $700 that looks Really good.
I'm having the same exhaust made for my SF 848 right now. Did you have Guido at Shift-tech do the coating on the exhaust? If not, where did you have it done and what kind of coating is it? Ceramic? Thanks! Gorgeous bike!
The bike is totally comfortable. I recently rode 5 hours from San Francisco to L.A., and then the next day spent about 4 hours up on HWY 2 in the mountain. No aches/pains or tiredness issues at all. Some guys do change the bars to get a more comfortable wrist angle. See my response to lukashehvich.
Thanks man. I had a shop do most of it, but that is because I travel for work all the time and it just was not working to do it myself. Going slow and paying attention to all of the instructions, lol, a guy could do it himself. All but the custom tuning.
Greg, real quick, what rim tapes are u using and how easy/difficult is the stealth tail tidy installation? I read somewhere on compwerkes website that the underbody needs to be drilled for installation. Also, what did you do to cover the holes where the stock mirrors are placed?
Gregg, I just picked up an '11 SFS and your bike is perfect in every way. I called Guido from ShitTech and I have appt to leave my bike to get the exact exhaust. I am friggin physched. Quick question...did you have to remap for the exhaust or need new ECU? Are there any complaints with it? Beautiful bike dude. I hate to copy but damn I dont think it gets better than your ride. Can;t wet to get my hands on mine.
I think it was about 240. I like the blacked out look for my bike, plus the can is wrapped in CF which really ties in the can to other parts of the bike
That exhaust really cleans up the bike!
Beautiful bike. Love the way all the little details you paid attention to brought it all together. Even without the mapping adjustment it sounds sick
I think I have fallen behind in my quarterly compliment of this amazing example of a Streetfighter. Gorgeous.
Hear a big L twin and a dry clutch chatter....must be a Ducati.
i too come by every few months to appreciate this beauty lol
Wow that is just beautiful. That bike is pure art. Absolutely amazing
Faaaarking Sweeeeeeeet! Talk about foreplay.....little bit of attention here, firm grip there, gentle touch...then at 5:48 - make that baby purrrr!
Seriously mate, that is one gorgeous machine. Props to your girlfriend for filming and for obviously being so chilled with your love and passion for your Duke.

beautiful bike!! great job!!
Thanks very much, and thanks to all the guys that said they liked it. It is very cool to hear great feedback on the bike.

Really sweet ride you created. Awesome.

you can tell this guys is proud of his bike! i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haven't seen a lot of bikes as clean as this one! Great job man, looks sick!
Nice review, Gregg. Great-looking bike. Now I have to do something to my Monster 1100evo down here in Sacramento region!
That Exaust is freaking Sick, how it wraps around and then is tilted up so that naked beautiful rear wheel is showing nicely next to the carbon fiber! This is how a youtube-bike-video has to be, great job! and even more congratulations to your beautiful bike!!
Gregg, your bike gorgeous! Well done on putting your own touches on this bike. My dream bike right here man. Enjoy, stay safe, and God bless.
S-ah-toe rear sets...stunning. Well done. Frame plugs are also a nice touch..
You are very lucky man. That bike is a dream
Dude that thing is amazing!
GREG!!! You're famous! This must have been the first clean after we got home!!
Hey Man. I just saw a video of you leading about 10 of us through the Sierras at WCM
wow, what an amazing bike you got there!
Beautiful bike man, i wish i could have one like that .
Beautiful bike!!!
Damn thats such a Beautiful Bike! I would never get rid of that bike...even if I stopped Riding id keep it. Sweet Ride Greg!
Superb, beautiful bike.
Very nice. A buddy of mine just got a Black Monster Evo, with full Termi's. It sounds so good.
sweet bike... was looking at these today at the dealer when i was picking up parts for one my bikes... wish we could have lisence plate holders like that in the UK... makes back end of bike look so much nicer

I am very impressed with your Ducati Gregg. You did an outstanding job,and it's not over done, very classy
Thank you very much. That is a nice compliment.

Hi. Yes. I've been riding more and more. Thanks for asking. :-)
Oh wow, I see you on the Duc ms forums, didn't know you were proheli. God I bet getting rid of your sfs was tough. Hope you're on the mend.
Give me a buzz if you want to get a coffee or something. I'd love to see the bike again sometime.
Looks amazing, sounds like a tractor from the 50s! ;) I'm sure it's completely different in person though. Super jealous. I wish number plates like that were legal in the UK, I'd be pulled over as soon as I left my house with that!
Looks great! Sounds great!
gorgeous bike
Awesome bike!
perfect! found it and purchased it! great vid by the way and amazing bike. i have the new 2012 848.
Beautiful machine mate, one day I'll have my own!
ocd, money, and a ducati = This. Awsome

I'm all set on placing the order. I will definitely post a video response and give credit to you for inspiring me! :) safe riding!!
Nice work mate! Duke looks bad ass!

sunny day in Oregon looking tobuy one of thoses this week great tips
This is my quarterly comment on this beautiful bike. I like my Italian supebikes like I like my Italian super models.
Sweet ride Bud.
Looks awesome. Thanks or sharing. A list of all the mods you did including the prices in the description would be awesome!!!
I've watched this at least 100 times
Nice ride!!!
It is already sick, but it would look pretty good in dark blue/dark purple color scheme!
Competition Werkes, in Oregon. It is the Stealth Tail Tidy. It also includes sliding the license plate in under the tail.
That bike is perfect. Ducati could have stopped making bikes after this one.
Love it! Really nice!
Great bike, thanks
cool n clean bike dude....one of my dream bike... DUCATI
Thanks! Really helps. Will share mine when I'm done :)
When you take out the exhaust valve, it does get a bit louder below 5000rpm, but its alright. It sounds REEEAAALLLLLY good.
A work of art. Awesome bike. I would ride it then stare at it...then ride, stare..etc. that exhaust shows off that sweet single sided arm...nice.
I only had the Shift-tech on without the Bazzaz for a few weeks. It didn't ever back fire and maybe only mild pops on decel. lol. I do sound that like sometimes. But mostly its the recording. That bike sounds like the beast lives inside when its running, it sounds that good.
Sounds good

The rear blinkers are in the tail vents. It is part of the Comp Werkes tail tidy.
I'm having the same exhaust made for my SF 848 right now.
Did you have Guido at Shift-tech do the coating on the exhaust? If not, where did you have it done and what kind of coating is it? Ceramic? Thanks! Gorgeous bike!
The Streetfighter is BY FAR the best looking bike on the market no doubt.....
love your bike bro! really nice ducati you've got there! but hey how tall are you? think the bike looks small if you sit on it? drive safe!:P
The handling is already very very good on a StreeFighter ;)
Outstanding job Greg, it is a really great bike and it looks really really great !!! Did you do the mods by your own or in a Ducati shop ?
Thanks man. I had a shop do most of it, but that is because I travel for work all the time and it just was not working to do it myself. Going slow and paying attention to all of the instructions, lol, a guy could do it himself. All but the custom tuning.

I wish wish wish I could put that exhaust on my 2014... not made anymore. Nothing close besides the AR. This looks so nice
Nice mods :D
perfect bike
very nice bike
Stunning, perfectly modded machine.......
nice mods and sexy streetfighter i seen so far! great job!

I like the bike I have a hypermotard 796 myself. One question the open clutch is tight and all but that loud clacking noise doesn't bother you?
Sick bike man! No tank protector?
Nice bike Gregg! You didn't mention anything on the steering damper. Also, is it the 1098?
I think it was about 240. I like the blacked out look for my bike, plus the can is wrapped in CF which really ties in the can to other parts of the bike
Still a sick bike in 2024 😎🤟🏼
Perfect !
