Have the same trailer, the issue with just flipping the axle is that you need the over/under kit to relocate the perches so you don't just add a ton of negative camber

Those tires look so much better
Not dragging the license plate on the ground over every hump and bump either!!!

This has a cheaper straight axle, not the curved/bent one. Perches are needed for a curved axle only. no issues so far.
@@Montana_Outdoor_Adventures ah didn't realize you could get a straight axle and now I'm jealous haha
@@mrpopo573 LOL, now my new overland camper has the curved axle, but came from the factory already under the leaf springs.
Great info. Where did you get the new tires?

Thanks to your video I lifted my 5x8 trailer the same day I got it. Super easy job. Way better for off road.
Thanks, glad it helped you out. I still love it!!!
I just might have to do that also, just as soon as I have a trailer to upgrade.
It is so easy...if you have a STRAIGHT axle.
@@Montana_Outdoor_Adventures I don’t have a trailer yet.
@@trevor6485 Baby steps!!! I did get a new camper, check it out!!!
I plan to do the same, What size wheels and tires did you use?
1st, make sure you have a straight axle. This is the tire size I used: 165/80/13

@@TonyChin226 Make sure your axle is straight and not curved up in the middle.

great thinking.... about to do the same thanks
Be sure to check if your axle is straight and not curved.
@@Montana_Outdoor_Adventures is the curve noticable?
@@maestrozilla Yup, the axle will be curved up, a bit higher in the center.
Nice 😊
Thanks.
Strangely enough, I had to resubscribe to your channel. TH-cam must have unsubscribed me.
Weird?!?
