Great video. You and my family convinced me to watch Stranger Things and you were right, it is fantastic. You also convinced me to get some cards from the show. I did pick up two graded Dr. Brenner and a National rare Steve, so far. Whether the cards go big or not, it is great to have some memories from this iconic show. Appreciate the time and effort you took to make this video and convince someone who is not easily convinced.
Great video and impressive collection! Fans will be watching Stranger Things for years to come which make these cards great long term investments.

Thanks! Almost fell down the rabbit hole but pulled back! Congrats on your pick-up - great cards. If you keep the redemption auto's - put them in a team bag for protection - "dirt" will fall into the holder. Good luck - love the show and the cards, but I have a hard fast $100 max on purchases for cards so these for the most part are out of my zone (auto's).
I would just grade them because it should be on the flip that it is a redemption.
Love the content and I agree collect what you like , but do theses cards have any staying power? Autos of 13 year old kids on a manufactured patch ? For the cost it show have been show worn.This just blows my mind .
I hear ya man, might not be everyone’s thing, but bottom line is I can get basically the best of the best Stranger Things cards for the average cost of a sports card hobby box. Still buying sports cards as well, but this is a fun side project

What do YOU really want to do?? With those redemptions, is what matters.
I always get excited for other collectors who really enjoy a certain “section “ of their collection as yourself.
I truly believe there are safer cards to invest in, but, what do I really know lol and as long as you’re happy then good for you!!
Have you checked out the waffle parallels? These are numbered to 11. It would be tough to do but building the complete 100 card base set in this pararllel would be cool. Also, have you come across the "christmas lights" parallel? I have yet to see one of these for auction but they are listed on the odds list.
ooooh yes, have a few of the waffle parallels. Agreed that would be an amazing set to complete. But probably incredibly difficult. A fun chase! Also have not seen a 1/1 Christmas Lights parallel yet in the wild.
Keep them in the redemption holder. There like cucumbers now, and once you take them out then they become pickles, never to be cucumbers again!

I just don’t get the hype with this show. If a Joe Exotic card isn’t fetching booko bucks then there’s a 0% chance Stranger Things would catch on. What’s Netflix’s biggest shows ever? I would say Tiger King and Stranger Things but idk. Either way it’s only been 2 years since Tiger King and that holds basically a 0 premium. Sure, money “could” be made right now with these in the hype stage… but one the show ends… idk man.
I feel like we have 2 extremes here with you throwing $4,000 on a whim towards cards you have a connection too and really like the show, makes sense but it’s an absolute pure gamble. Then we have Brad who doesn’t even seem to do anything with cards anymore, except give them away to make personal connections.

Lol still buying sports cards as well TJ, but yeah this is speculating….much like sports cards, just a different lane. And absolutely, if the show is of no interest, like yourself, makes sense you wouldn’t be interested in the cards. All good 👍
@@TheSportsCardDad Much more speculation with stranger things than sports cards, the collection/investment in cards has been around for over 100 years. There are safe investments with cards, when buying vintage and GOATS. Same can't necessarily be said for a show, which only been around for past few years.
@@ACD1994 right but you said it right there. “When buying vintage and goats”, but how many people are speculating on modern players? How is that different than stranger things? And then, much of the vintage and Goat stuff is at all time highs, so where do we look for upside? Agree with you ST is a show and cards are highly speculative, but I’ve stated my reasons for giving it a shot
@@TheSportsCardDad I think it's an interesting choice/decision; not even saying it won't even pan out. Just something, I would wait and see if it has staying power...I'm the same way when it comes to modern in sports for the most part too. The ones who are investing (really it's actually, gambling), on modern, are either very new to the hobby, and don't really know much about the hobby yet, or have lots of money to spend, the ''whales'' and high rollers, the Gary Vee's and Geoff Wilson's, etc, anyway time will tell
