The String Soloists is an dynamic international string ensemble based in Amsterdam, comprising 12 string players who perform under the leadership of artistic leader Lisa Jacobs.
Founded in 2015, The String Soloists have already performed at all major venues in the Netherlands and extensively throughout Europe. Highlights of past season included an extensive series of concerts in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and concert tours to Italy, Germany and France. This season concerts in Copenhagen (Tivoli Concert Hall), Belgium, China and Germany are scheduled besides their activities in the Netherlands.
Dutch violin virtuoso Lisa Jacobs is known for her passionate performances, interesting programs, and communicative qualities on stage. At the age of 17, Lisa made her successful debut with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra under the baton of Riccardo Chailly. She has played all around the world ever since, both as a soloist with renowned orchestras and conductors, as a recitalist and vivid chamber musician.
Lisa Jacobs collaborated with amongst others Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Amsterdam Sinfonietta, Brussels Philharmonic, Bremer Philharmoniker, Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra and respected conductors such as Neeme Järvi, Riccardo Chailly and Carlos Miguel Prieto.
Miss Jacobs has made numerous international acclaimed CD recordings.
Besides her concert career Lisa Jacobs greatly enjoys teaching and is a professor of violin at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, Belgium.
Jacobs is a proud Pirastro Artist since 2017 and artistic director of the Music Festival Middelburg.

I think this concerto is super underrated. Sure, it might not be as difficult to learn compared to other violin concertos but this concerto still requires good practice and is difficult to master. Awesome interpretation.

Stylish, friendly, inclusive playing. Concerto as chamber music. Love it. There are so many valid ways to interpret this period of music now, and many varying editions, it can be hard to know which way to jump!

Baroque interpretation with modern arch. Not much logical thread
I'd rather play that on the Cello.
CircuitsAndStrings 2 Mr Stern probably could also make a very nice rendition but maestro Haydn really originally intended it as a violin concerto!
