Blame the one who wrote the rule. The normal average person wouldn't interpret ALL as ALL LANES. This is why I wish there was a mandatory annual theory tests for all drivers so rules like these can be explained further and reminded.
Well you CAN change lanes on a roundabout, but you have to indicate and give way, same as for any other lane change. The idiot still had their right indicator on. Better to pick the lane you need before entering on such a tiny busy roundabout. Crash car had zero reason to change lanes and should have just exited in the right lane, should have indicated correctly, shouldn't follow so closely and is definitely not blameless. Dumb move. I'd say 70% of the population haven't got the foggiest idea how to use a roundabout correctly, and 50% don't even know how to indicate on a roundabout correctly.

@@bigshowdownunder8969 Go read the rules again. The "in front" rule is for lanes merging without any lines marking which one ends. If you have to cross a line at all, you have to give way. These are the Australian road rules. All states use the same base rule set. The variations are mostly to do with mobile phone use and P plate restrictions.

Yep. Dc caused that one and then had chuckle. What a piece of work?
What a knob, submitted a video of an accident that he caused.
Yep and most people don’t seem to realise that people already in a roundabout can also change lanes. Exactly the reason why that law is in place.

Go read the rules again.
The "in front" rule is for lanes merging without any lines marking which one ends. If you have to cross a line at all, you have to give way.
These are the Australian road rules. All states use the same base rule set. The variations are mostly to do with mobile phone use and P plate restrictions.

Always be ready for someone who hits you to do a runner. See that so many times in these videos. Be ready to give chase
Have a plan.
Arrange by whatever means to communicate with the other driver to arrange a meeting place to discuss details for insurance.( hand signals. shouting etc.)
By their reaction you will know how likely they are to try to do a runner..
Be prepared.
If you have a dashcam get in behind them as they maneouvre to record the whole moving to a safe location...and keep recording once you are parked...get the other driver right in the frame.
