Juries couldn’t appreciate her I’m happy for the people votes at least
AH THALASSA is about her father who passed away recently, before the contest. This song is dedicated to her father and the meaning behind it is deep and emotional, you can even hear it on the instrumental
It has a deeper meaning. It also refers to the refugees that died in the sea near Greece. Why did Marina use that reference? Because her father is buried next to their graves, just because he was also a muslim.
@@youtube_veteran Yeah well she just revealed what her song meant. I wrote the comment 2 days ago
The mixtape is Marina answering to all the negative comments before and during Eurovision ❤
According to Marina It was created prior to the eurovision and has nothing to do with the happenings of Eurovision.
They also criticized her before the actual song contest. So she included some answers
@@fm95master it's about the hate when the song got releases
AH THALASSA ended suddenly, as a reminder of how suddenly a life can end in a minute🥹 keep it up we love you here in Greece ❤️❤️
Ah thalassa was written for her father who passed away a few weeks before Eurovision. In the song there are many symbolisms one of which is the sudden ending which symbolises how suddenly and out of nowhere we lose a beloved one
I am Turkish and I love listening this album so much especially MixTape,Lalalala,Stin iyia Mas and Zari❤
Mixtape is an answer to all of those who heavily critisized her everyday on morning TV shows trying to bring her down and about how she shut them up. "Copyright στο TATATA" refers to a songwriter that openly blamed Marina for copying a hit song that she wrote for another artist that also has "tatata" in the lyrics of the chorus like Zari (😂😂). The "glyka glyka" lady that you can listen to at 4:29 (her name is Efi Thodi) is a famous Greek traditional singer who called Zari "cat puke" just because Marina incorrectly referred to that song (glyka glyka) as a song by Kelly Kelekidou (another Greek singer that has covered Efi's song) on an Instagram live. Now Efi (the woman that humiliated Marina) is on the credits of Mixtape since Marina used her original version of the song as a sample. How much more of an icon can Marina be?
Ah Thalassa is dedicated to Marina's father who passed away a few weeks before the contest and the abrupt way it ends symbolizes his sudden death.
Eimai kala!!! just samples some of the positive sayings of a famous on social media Greek therapist who's considered iconic in Greece as she's always being seen with a big fat smile in her videos sharing (generic) positive thoughts. "Eimai kala!!!" quotes "I'm doing well and everyday I'm doing better with myself", "I'm the number one choice, I deserve to be the number once choice, I deserve to be treated the best way possible by everyone ", "I have a lot of money, I save a lot of money, when I save a lot of money I feel much better with myself". It's actually only her (Katerina Salaka) that you can hear on the track, not Marina.
Marina is genius, that's all I have to say.
So glad you did a reaction on p.o.p. ( very clever title of two meanings.. First is pop, like pop music and the other one in greek is p.o.p. Π.ο.π. Which means protected designation of origin - like feta cheese for example). This ep is so much different from Yenna her first album and as she said she wanted to make something fun and lively without overthinking it so much as she did before because she is a perfectionist. Also you should check the video she did for tucutum.
Now in mixtape there's a lot of fun and irony to many critisism she received for Zari (still cant believe our 11th place). But there are a lot of greek references so not very easy for a non native to fully understand. She makes fun of reggaeton rythm saying that in greece we have "syrtos" thats why she mentions it. Also a songwriter accused her of copying the syllabus ta-ta-ta from another song which was ridiculous of course, that's why she had google translate saying multiple times tatata..and at the end says tatata-tapa, which means the cap of the bathtub that stops water from going down the sink😂.. Like i shut u up with my song.... And finally at the end she says"I lied to you now I changed my mind Whatever they say, I thank virgin mary I'm going on a break now I don't give a fuck I went far (period), and bye bye"... In conclusion she is truly a unique artist that caused so much controversy with zari in greece and i m glad you discovered her tbrough eurovision.. You should keep an eye on her she is so versatile and talented (sorfy for the long text, kissess)
I want a song together Angelina Mango and Marina Satti 😍❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 🇮🇹🇬🇷
Yes!!
Greeks, how do we explain eimai kala and mixtape to non- greeks?😭
EIMAI KALA!!!!!!!! is not actually a song. It is more like a troll audio. Marina used the voice of a greek life coach (Katerina Salaka), a lady that says happy things all the time
On the other hand, the mixtape consists of ideas they tried prior to Eurovision! She put them together and created it! Another aspect worth mentioning is that during the 10 minutes, she also responds to negative comments from the media in a fun way and collaborates with both older and younger singers she encountered at different phases of her career!
IKRR😭😭
shes a queen ❤
Mixtape is a troll song about the media in Greece. All the period of Eurovision they was saying very bad things about her.
If you want to see her how she performs take a look to Marina satti at technopolis Athens. She is unbelievable ❤❤
TUCUTUM actually has a music video
And is amazing video ❤
@@Ioanna_ioanna It is!
As a Greek I wish non Greeks understood Greek just for Mixtape lyrics
Tucutum has a quite interesting music video tbh
It was released as a single last year
Mixtape is genius, mixtape is art... It is full of irony to all the criticisms she receives for Zari and her Eurovision participation...
You definitely have to react to her first album YENNA
Satti-sfaction 😉
Ah thalassa is a very emotional song in Greek I wish everyone could understand it the way we Greeks do
She’s fireeeeee 🔥😛
MA RI NA❤🇬🇷
12:40 It is SATTIsfaction!!! 😊
fun fact: many songs inside mixtape were half finished song she made for eurovision but changed her mind
Ax thalassa is for her father who passed away 2 weeks before Eurovision 😢
Mixtape Is a Greek cultural reset
Mixtape is an answer to the bullying that some people did to her
can we talk about Noosh’s stunning hair😭
EIMAI KALA!!! is short of like a troll interlude
MIXTAPE IS PURE CHAOS!!
But perfect for gym!
in mixtape she talks in the beggining about the haters and the drama that surrounded the song when it first came out (about the ta ta ta copy rights, that a lot of greeks thought that it will flop etc)
The song "Mixtape" is a troll. Marina makes fun of all those who criticize her in Greece
It sounds like many songs together on purpose because when Zari came out they said it sounded like many songs together
Some lyrics from the song are also words she has said on shows or in her lives
The part where it says copyrights ta ta ta it is because of a Greek guy who said that Marina stole the lyrics ta ta ta from his song (ridiculous, because it's not even a lyric) At the point where it says flop flop flop is because many Greeks said that she would flop in Eurovision (they said that she will not even pass in the finals 😂🤦♀️)
This song is really funny when you know the story behind it 😂😂😂
Also in the song "Eimai kala" Marina used the voice of a life coach hear in Greece and she made her a song 😂
16:40 I thought the same when I heard it, it should be in a movie! Some people have said that the abrupt end is the way life ends; abruptly, without any warning. Given that she wrote this for her father who very recently passed away, it might be true. And as other people have said, she also wrote this thinking of the deaths of thousands of refugees lost in the sea (thalassa = θάλασσα = the sea), some of them burried anonymously next to her father.
It also reminded me of how she ends her YENNA album with the song Moiroloi, which means Lament. Marina is exceptionally talented in showing all aspects of life and emotions through her music. She's probably the most unpretentious Greek artist in modern times.
The song Stin ygeia mas, it reminds traditional gipsy greek music played in weddings, partys etc
Actually Tucutum has a video clip. It was uploaded before the other songs.
MA RI NA IS A GODDESS ❤️
Ah Thalassa is a mourning Song sang like the ethnik singing way of moiroloi and it's about the loss of her father as also in general for people that lost loved ones.
There's a video clip for tucutum
Please react to her album Yenna. It‘s a masterpiece
Pls react to Yenna album by marina satti
Oh honey you need context for these songs! A LOT of context hahahaha
Μαrina❤tucutum❤zari❤nifada❤ponos krifos❤margoudi❤koupes❤
Hello Noοsh. I am from Greece, and we really like Marina a lot. We also really like that you like her too. You must come to Greece sometime. We are famous for our hospitality. By the way, you have a very good voice judging by the little part where you were singing along with Marina. I would like to ask you a favor: could you make a video where you will be reacting to a singer from Australia? She has a very rare voice with many unique vocal runs. Maybe you could watch the video "The Blind Auditions: Bella Taylor Smith sings Ave Maria by Beyonce" if you’d like. Take care!
So good
I don’t even know where to begin when I have to explain
-Stin Iyia mas
- Eimai Kala
- Mixtape
At this point, just enjoy it 😂
Shis father is sudanese immigrant to Greece. Probably studies and work.
eimai kala!!! is like a meme here on tiktok, its this lady thats sayin postive affirmations to herself and this one on the record is talking about how she's well and making money etc
mixtape is just this HUGE disstrack to the media and several popularish people in greece that bashed her, slut shamed her and even tried to copyright that part in the song that says ta ta ta. i could talk about this track for YEARS cause there are SO MANY disses in this song to SO many people and its just GENIUS.
The "eimai kala" is basically a sample of a motivational speaker. Shes pretty much saying "I'm doing well, I'm worthy, I have a lot of money, I save a lot of money, I deserve everyone to treat me in the best way possible" and stuff like that.
Eimai kala is just a joke song, there s not even marina s voice there
It's similar to satisfaction to hint the fan made word SATTIsfaction 😂 mixtape has some genius references in it
12:43 SATTIsfaction
Hello. Could you please give us your reaction to the song of this year's Ukrainian representatives, Jerry Heil and alyona alyona? They told everyone that they had two songs with which they could go to Eurovision. There is one of them, the well-known one - "Teresa & Maria", but the other one is called "GET UP", and between them the first one was chosen for the contest. By the way, they kept it a secret, but only today it was released to the public. I have goosebumps from the song "GET UP"!!! Please make a reaction to this song!
*By the way, the girls themselves said that they thought that the song "GET UP" should have been in the contest and that they themselves liked it better and said that it was more suitable for the Eurovision Song Contest, but the producer and other people chose the song "Teresa & Maria" for the contest. We'll be waiting to see your reaction :)
Noosh can you react to the new song of dons , It calls dark And i think is better that the song he perform at eurovision
Βάλε το τραγουδι
καφεδάκι-Σεμελη
This mixtape is garbage, which is not surpising, since Satti is such a talentless artist.
Cry more baby
