Wow! Rent prices are insane in Ottawa these days less than 10 years ago I was paying $850/ month for a 1 bedroom with utilities included and a walk-in closet and of course rent control was still in effect.

If any Newcomers are in Toronto struggling financially there is hope. Cities all over Saskatchewan have some of the most affordable rents in Canada and so many jobs. The Battlefords, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Moose Jaw, Swift Current, Yorton, and Regina.
