      @GeraldM_inNC ปีที่แล้ว +16

      @@21abhinavpatel Well put! That's true too of many other elements of their strategy. As you say, they calculate precisely how many moves it will take for the attack to succeed, and whether their opponent can overcome their defense in fewer moves than that. The rest of us can't make such a sophisticated calculation. I've lost many games because I overestimated by a move or two the speed of my attack or the slowness of my opponent's attack.

    I am completely new to Chess and I have been watching your videos for a while now, but I have learned a few things that I see in almost every chess game. Always keep your king behind pawns, never get a check from a knight as you can’t block it with anything, don’t let the opponent’s pawn cross midline, avoid the opponent’s two knights attacking together, and have some space for the king to move.

    • @reinpost
      @reinpost ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely, those are all things to bear in mind. Once enough material is off the board, the king can advance to attack.

    I'm a relative beginner so maybe lots of your other viewers don't benefit from that, but for me, watching the moves again now knowing how the game ended really helps me understand why they're so powerful. With the context it's even more enjoyable watching those moves a second time.

      Agadmator usually does precisely that. In this case, I don't believe there was a blunder. It's just that pushing the pawns defending your king only works for the very top players. You can't really call it a blunder, because they do it and win. For the rest of us, just don't do it!

    It is not explicitly mentioned at 8:10, but QxB2 by black would have resulted in R to H7 checkmate by white, that is why the queen is just completely immobilized and helpless

    I believe the last time a player was awarded the Morphy head was Dubov when playing against Svane in 2019. Forced mate in 13. Great stuff.

    For agadmator if any move gets slowed down , it becomes spiraling for some weird physics. No matter if it was linear or trajectory or whatever. You slow it down it starts the spirals.
