00:38 🔍 Turnitin, Originality, and gp0 are tools used for AI content detection.
01:18 💡 Originality was the best at detecting AI content compared to Turnitin and gp0.
04:44 🛡 Undetectable and Fasley were the best at bypassing AI content detection tools.
06:19 💬 Bypass AI was able to fool Turnitin but failed to pass Originality detection.
07:17 👀 Originality was the most effective tool at detecting AI-generated content despite bypass attempts.

Andy great video just a small note: It doesn't "know that you're AI". It predicts that there is an x% of being written by AI. It's not like plagiarism where you compare text to text. AI detection is just a prediction and nothing more.

I wrote feedback to my student for submitting his dissertation, I tested my feedback in turnitin. It was detected 40% AI. I was really surprised as 90% of my writing was in first person form with my suggestions how to improve some aspects in the dissertation. Therefore I don’t trust Turnitin in detecting AI.

The likelihood of misclassification remains high for non-native English speakers/writers who use AI tools to improve fluency of their documents. That being said, wouldn't it be fun to have a tool that once applied to older texts would show how many of them were written by enslaved research assistants while signed by the big guns of the dept ? So, why is AI generated text such a scandal whereas assistants generated work has not been so for decades

I dont mean to be a partypooper here Andy but i follow you because of your excellent content about the hard (and sometimes funny) truths about research and academia, and the occassional tips and tricks for productivity from a veteran researcher who saw the light. But of late most if not all the content is about flashy new AI tools. Having tried some of them, it's (a) overwhelming because there are SO MANY and i cant really make sense of whats good; (b) the generative AI's mostly feel unfit for research no matter how good they are today, simply because they do not seem up to the mark and more often than not are like an overconfident student likely to lack nuance.
I get that a guys got to eat, and nothing against honest endorsements or even promotional content honestly, but id love to see some of your old content back as well - even the stories were hilarious. Maybe you do put them out but i only get notifs for the videos about the tools. Ps im a nobody here, so you can take this opinion with a grain of salt.

Hi, I'm the creator of StealthWriter, I want to point something out, although all some of the tools claim to bypass all AI detectors, you need to also take into account the quality of the text generated from these tools, there are many tools that claim to provide undetectable content but the output is just gibberish unreadable content. It would be a good idea to create an unbiased video comparing these tools in readability also and not only the undetectability scores. As AI gets better and learns to write identical to humans then AI detection will flag all things as AI. These AI detectors only look at how well it's written. If it's good it's considered AI. If it's highly flawed it's human. So basically everyone is trying to hold onto crap instead of embracing the future. Which makes zero sense. The reason why we can detect AI writing is because it's already better.

I used Undetectable AI to remove AI-generated content from my master’s thesis, but unfortunately, when I checked it in Turnitin, it still flagged the document as 100% AI-generated.
Could you please help me resolve this issue and remove any remaining AI detection?

this test would be complete with your human layer of assessment how rubbish the result was in each case. It's easy to bypass AI if you suddenly make stupid mistakes, for example humanizing often changes narrative to first person which is easy but unacceptable. Detectors simply think it's a daft person and too bad for AI.

Is it intentional irony that this video’s description appears to have been AI generated?
I have got to the point where if the first sentence of any article begins with, “In this age of…”, “In today’s rapidly advancing…”, or ends with, “… in today’s business environment”, “… in the technology environment we now live in”, or similar, I move on.
These are classic AI cliched article introductions. I don’t object to using AI as a writing aid, but I’m not going to waste my time reading an article when no effort has been put into writing an interesting introduction.
