The mall scenes were shot in Landmark Mall in Virginia. It was once a booming mall in the 90’s but quickly died out. It’s been abandoned for the most part except for the Sears and maybe 1 or 2 businesses inside that kept going. My dance team would use a studio inside that mall for rehearsals and it would be creepy leaving because of how empty and frozen in nostalgia it was. It’s been rumored to be torn down for years but i’m glad they found a use for it.
I also think WW looks VERY elegant, like her fave acting when hitting away the bullet or walking through the air after flipping the army truck. It contrasts with most action movie characters who have to always be tough and aggressive, and showing that more feminine characteristics can be featured in fight scenes

The mall scenes were shot in Landmark Mall in Virginia. It was once a booming mall in the 90’s but quickly died out. It’s been abandoned for the most part except for the Sears and maybe 1 or 2 businesses inside that kept going. My dance team would use a studio inside that mall for rehearsals and it would be creepy leaving because of how empty and frozen in nostalgia it was. It’s been rumored to be torn down for years but i’m glad they found a use for it.
I also think WW looks VERY elegant, like her fave acting when hitting away the bullet or walking through the air after flipping the army truck. It contrasts with most action movie characters who have to always be tough and aggressive, and showing that more feminine characteristics can be featured in fight scenes
