Fun Fact:
Even Halle Berry hated this movie when it came out. When she was given the Golden Raspberry reward for worst actress of 2004, she said “I would like to thank Warner Bros. for putting me in this Shitty, God Awful movie. Just what my career needed.”
Glad she acknowledged the movie sucked. Probably the worst movie she's been in, 😖

The funny thing about the bit with Halle Berry at the end is that she actually hated the movie too, to the point that she turned up to accept her own Razzie award, lol.

@@sytherwusky I don't think she did. She said during her acceptance speech that she was keeping the Oscar and afterwards started demanding a salary since she won it.
But I doubt Eddie Redmayne returned HIS Oscar after winning for Jupiter Ascending. Lol.
I love how the narrator continued to say bad cat puns while the counselor was like “Fuck this shit, I’m out”

What’s most amusing to me is that this is a DC hero origin story...for a character who already has a DC origin.
I could totally see an Egyptian goddess resurrecting some poor soul and giving them mystical animal powers above their fellow man, it’s actually very in line with their universe.
But for Catwoman? A character universally known as a jewel thief and Batman’s nemesis/love interest? Why change that? Why give the character a completely new backstory which absolutely wasn’t needed?
Did the writer not talk to ANYONE who knew what Catwoman was like, or did DC just not ask what was involved with the project? It’s so bizarre how the concept of Catwoman’s character was so thoroughly botched in this as she has no resemblance to Selena Kyle whatsoever. (To the extent she’s called “Patience” instead of Selena. WHY?!)
I would say this didn’t even try but most bad Comic Book movies just lazily copy the Wikipedia entry of the hero’s origin story. This went out of its way to be creative enough to tell a lazy story. How...how do you do that?!
That's MOON KNIGHT'S origin. And he did it better because you have no idea if it was real or he imagined the whole thing and they really go into the ambiguity since there's good evidence for both. Magic definitely exists, but he's genuinely crazy either way.
And he's not even DC.
I saw it and the film's a laughably bad cat-astrophy!

charlie, you're talking about hugo weaving as agent smith in the matrix movies who jumped on cars. the actor here in catwoman is lambert wilson, the frenchman from the 2nd matrix movie.
Someone pointed this out in the comments of everything wrong with, I think it was. The detective recognises her handwriting from the cup... But she doesn't write that. The barrista does.

You know, I just had a thought: if they really wanted to connect this Catwoman to Batman, while using this plotline of an evil corporation that makes mutating beauty products, why didn't they make Sharon Stone a version of Clayface? Like Sondra Fuller/Lady Clay? And instead of Beauline, call it "Renuyu" like in *Feat of Clay* from Batman TAS. All in all, this movie is still terrible, but I'm just saying, there was a big opportunity they missed with this.

Mecha Tar 2004 was definitely not a good year for cinema, but at least we still got some gems that year such as Shaun of the Dead, The Incredibles, Shrek 2, and Kill Bill Volume 2, just to name a few

Daniel Scott IMO Jim Carrey is a lot like Tim Curry, even if the movie itself is bad, he alone steals the show and makes the movie bearable. With the exception of 23.
