- Whats goin on everyone, today were overlanding the beautiful texas hill country. After exploring some awesome off road trails in the tundra (still getting use to the full size life) we found the perfect camp to celebrate our 7th anniversary. This had quickly become one of our favorite camp spots and we enjoyed every second of being out there! Nothing like an overland anniversary trip in a rooftop tent! I checked out your video because the Tundra looked awesome in the thumbnail and after watching the video I'm subscribed. That was a fun video, Tundra is awesome looking and even tho I'm single 😭it was cute seeing your anniversary and how you made it special for her. I know you can't share the location of this spot with us because the weekend after you do there will be 20 rigs camped out there but son, I can tell you after 23 happy years with my wife is always make them feel special. I see you already figured that out. Sub'd and liked!

What part of hill country is that, I stay at 1604 and potranco and I would love to hit that trail with my tundra. As a sales rep and a retired veteran, I want to find a place like that to get away from everything. Please share location and the process to hit that place.

Where the heck do you find places to overland camp in central Texas? Ever time I try to look for public land I can never find it since like 99% of this state is privately owned.

@@bird289 ya this state was a major bummer for that when I came here. I grew up in the SW so we had public land for days. I miss the public land but I don't miss the SW😂
@bird289 yea it’s a paid spot , Texas sucks! That’s why I’m always in New Mexico lol
I'm guessing it's a state park, look at tpwd.texas.gov to find a park and make reservations
How long is the entire drive? Is it doable in a day or did you have to stop to camp out for a night?

It’s on hipcamp, everything in Texas is gonna be paid camping, there a small spot on the llano river by the James river water crossing I think that everybody loves to camp on too. That’s like the only free spot lol. Unless you drive to a national forest.

Yep unfortunately Texas is the worst state when it comes to public land. This was on private land that you can pay camp on.

Congratulations, you've figured out how social media works. Do you always rely on the hard work and research of others to do the work for you? This guy probably spent innumerable hours planning this trip, reaching out to camping sites, land owners, etc and now you want to piggyback on all that for free? Psssh.

Happy anniversary, Good video. I wish HEB were everywhere in Texas. Brookshires has the monopoly in the Tyler. Tx area. Super 1 is here too but is owned by Brookshires. They are overpriced and have the worst knockoff ability in the food industry. Their Brookshires brand food is so bad, it's embarrassing to think what some Texans will put in their mouth.
