  • A side by side comparison of the Bark River Gunny, Bravo 1, Bravo 1.25, Bravo 1.5, Bravo 2, and Bravo 3. We quickly go over the specs of all of the knives and what steels each are available in.
This video is not intended to be a review, rather a visual size comparison between the models.

Do you have the Bravo 1.2 LT ? I can't find video reviews. I want to get the best general use, belt (4"-5") inch size. knife. Could the Bravo 1.2 be the best or at least one of the best? Should I get the 1 isntead of the 1.2 LT? Can you please help with your opinion? I have none Bark River. Thanks in advance

Say Heah Paul, Yeah, each time the Bravo 1 was the starter knife. I got my first one in the Ghost Green Jade G-10, that set is in A2, I also started a 3V set with Black G-10 handles, The 1st set I have the Woodland Special, Bravo 1 and 2 and the Golok, Now I need the Bravo 2 and 3 in 3V and some type of shorty but in 3V Yeah, I like a ramp, If you place your thumb over the ramp and use it as a stop instead of pushing on it from behind, I find I have ot of control when if you push on the ramp from behind it doesn't work, I think that's why alot of guy's don't like it, Yeah, I love my ramp. ,, ,, ,,

The Bravo's are classic knives, I have several and I expect they'll all outlive my bloodline.

My Bravo 1.5 has the exposed lanyard hole. They must have changed it recently.

something doesn't add up on the overall lengths of these knives. If the blade of the 1.5 is 5.8" long then the handle needs to be 5.2" long to make an overall length of 11". The Bravo 1.25 has an overall length of 9.875" which is 9 and 7/8" as a fraction. If the blade if 5' long then the handle has to be 4 and 7/8" long. how can the handle be over 3/8 of an inch shorter than the 1.5 if they have the same handle? Is the bravo 1.5 actually shorter or is the bravo 1.25 actually longer?

Many say you dont need to sharpen these much/ever. Just a strop keep them perfect. That true?

not true, eventually you will need to sharpen and remove some steel.

It came sharp enough to shave out of the box but anything with a cutting edge will need maintained.
