In your segment on Theodore Roosevelt National Park you have a picture of Sylvan Lake which is in Custer State Park in South Dakota. Also Badlands National Park is in South Dakota. Theodore Roosevelt NP has 3 units, all of which are in ND.

Nice video about underrated parks. One primary reason why the 30,000 attendance at North Cascades NP is so low is due to the fact that the primary road passes through the Ross Lake National Recreation Area. Most people who think that they are in North Cascades NP are technically in Ross Lake NRA. One has to hike many miles from the road to actually get in to the national park.

It's weird that NCNP has so few visitors, especially since Hwy 20 passes right through the park. I've done the Cascade Pass trail, though it takes a little more driving to get to the trailhead. Even the trailhead itself is breathtaking, and when you break out of the woods on the top half of the trail, it just keeps getting better and better.

I hiked Lower Calk Creek Falls in Grand Staircase Escalante and it is one of my favorite hikes. I’ve only been to 16 NP and Utah was my favorite trip.

I have been to all of these except New River Gorge, and though I love them all, I must say that Teton National Park is not underrated and shouldn't be on the list. Instead, I find it to be very crowded. I suggest that another Utah Park, Capitol Reef, should be on the list as underrated and gets a lot less visitors than the Tetons.

I agree about the Tetons. They get almost as many visitors as Yellowstone, probably because most visitors visit both on the same vacation. I was surprised to discover that Capitol Reef gets a few more visitors than Canyonlands. I definitely want to visit either one a lot more than I want to visit the far more crowded Arches (so far in Utah, I've only seen Bryce and Zion).

I love the Grand Tetons but there is no doubt it's overshadowed by Yellowstone, it's neighbor to the north.

Pretty sure the pic at 8:30 is not in TRNP .... looks more like Sylvan Lake in Custer State Park in South Dakota. Also Canyonlands and Grand Tetons are 100% not underrated on any list I've ever seen. They are well known and highly visited.

Of the less-visited parks in the lower 48 that I still haven't seen and very much want to see, many are on your list: Especially Carlsbad, Big Bend, Gunnison, and Teddy Roosevelt. Two island parks that I want to visit more than Isle Royale are Channel Islands and Dry Tortugas. Others I want to see which didn't make your list are Mammoth, Redwoods, Lassen, and Great Basin.

While I agree mostly with these national parks are underrated, I can't agree on one. Yes, Guadalupe Mountains is the highest mountain in the whole Texas, the size (and the diversity of wild animals) is not much bigger than PIke's Peak in Colorado, Mt St. Helen in Oregon or even Mt Shasta in California. And just about 1/2 hour drive up north is Carlsbad Caverns which is more interesting by far. Watch the bats fly out of the cave during evening is just specular. Anyway, my most favorite underrated NP is Royale Isle. That place is just so amazingly serene. Another one is Kenai Fjord, if you enjoy watching whale/dolphin/sea lions/puffins/mountain goat/marmot...

There are definitely way more underrated parks than we listed in the video. Royale Isle is a fantastic choice! Thanks for watching!

Guadalupe’s terrain and wildlife are not too unique; that’s fair. But Guadalupe Peak is the highest mountain for dozens of miles around and looks down onto a salt flat which is almost a mile below. I love the dramatic terrain; not to mention it’s an incredible place for stargazing. I guess it may be a bit overrated by Texans; I used to live in Texas and climbed it during that time
