Great video, I love to see people go over botanical gels. The She Scent It Juicy Curls gel is not a botanical gel. It has PVP in it, which is a synthetic plastic. As you said, it helps create hold in the gel for your curls. Juicy Curls gel looks and feels like a wetline or ecostyler gel because it’s not too far off in the ingredients. It doesn’t have drying alcohols and a bunch of other synthetic ingredients like eco and wetline, so I’d say it would probably make a decent ani-humidity gel to put on top of a botanical gel like Curly Magic. A good alternative to the She Scent It gel is Soultanicals Fro’Zen Drip & Grip gel. It has very strong hold, comparable to that of Ecoslay Jello Shot, and is botanical.
I have the KCCC but I haven’t used it yet. I’m excited to try it! I also love the O.G Camille Rose Curl Maker! It’s my go to! It doesn’t contain Glycerin and it gives me great hold when I use the Camille Rose Aloe Whipped Butter Gel underneath it! I get a 5-7 day wash n go with that combo! I also have the UFD the new formula and yes Glycerin is in it now. I love it for Curl definition but I HAVE to use a topper Gel or Mousse over it because of the Glycerin in it. Glycerin is like the third ingredient on the list now. I’m sad because I never got the chance to use the old formula before they changed it 😔
You have to try the kinky curly curling custard!! It is soo amazing!! 😩😍💐💐💐 And my hair doesn’t mind the glycerin for some reason! I’m glad because there are soo many products with it! 😩

Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic has the new formulated ingredients on their product. I'm SOOOO sad. Glycerin is the first ingredient after water. Such a shame that I can't use it anymore because of the glycerin. Sad day in Memphis.

This video came into my recommendation after I subscribed. I clicked because I love me some Jello Shot but the price has been keeping me from repurchasing. Lately I’ve been using Obia custard but I used to love Kinky Curly when I first went natural.
@@MaiaBrown Yes, the deep conditioner is nice as well. It’s really thick and concentrated. Their custard is a lighter hold than Jello Shot but still gives good definition

I’m guessing you could probably do one with the Innersence gel. It has a super strong hold. 💓

I agree with you. They messed the gel up adding glycerin and the wheat protein which now leaves my hair super dry and undefined.
