Your hypothesis is correct. Since your hair is so long, you will need to dry the roots and then go half way down so the bottom half of hair has time to dry in the wand. The wand is where all the magic happens. Your hair looks gorgeous, thank you for sharing your feedback. In order to get the roots better, leave the mouth of the wand flush to the scalp and gently move around in circles to dry and stretch best.
